I feel so extremely happy to know that everyones comments have helped you with this movie, even the trolls! I can not wait for August 1!!!!! I have seen soo many trailers, it seems like whenever I turn on the TV thats all I see! Not that I mind because then I can see the magnificent work that you and your crew have done, plus I get to see the beautiful Brendon!! Frasertitis is probably the best thing that has come over me!! We're nearly there, cool update makes me feel really nostalgic thanks Rob we have all really enjoyed sharing the experience with you and are very thankful you have shared it with us. The Artwork looks great in this book and I will be sure to get it once I have the bucks. I'm really glad you said this in not goodbye before you said that it sorta sounded like you where signing off on us (I was beginning to feel a little alone lol).
I'm sure the rest of The Mummy family will love this post and be soo happy with the gratitude you have shown to us it was cool to hear you mention the TROLLS it shows us that you really a just one of us and you take part in reading all the comment even though its not always possible for you to answer each one individually.

Wow!, Mr. Rob Cohen!, you have truely done a outstanding-brillient job making this movie for us all !, that just gives me goosebumps watching the trailers and tv spots from this movie so far!. Although like you where saying about our pevious comments and complemments!, i do have one complemment to you that i just have to make to you and that is!, can you please release movie clips from the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor movie yet on here???. I and many other people on here would really, really like to see them already, too!!!, is that o.k. for you yo do so yet and release them on here yet???, or do we have to wait a little longer still???, Just wondering?!?!.

It'll be interesting to see how well maria bello plays the role of evie in the mumy 3 like rachael weisz did in the mummy and the mummy returns from 1999 and 2001 !. I've seen all the commercials and read ever bit of literature on themummy.com in anticipation of your film... and I'll probably be getting my Papa Johns pizza box any day now. LOL. Well Rob, you're running down the home straight (had to make a reference to the olympics there). I don't envy you your workload.
We have all been on a wonderful journey with this blog and we all feel a part of this film. I think I said on a previous thread that it's like the impending birth of a baby. None of us can wait to see the final product (although we know we have to).
It has been a privilege to be carried along with the filmmaking process and to be given some insight into how it was all put together. It has also been a privilege to share in some of your private life, when your triplets were born. Personally, I have enjoyed your updates because you write so descriptively, that it makes your reader feel like they are there with you.
I hope one day we will get to meet up with you.
I'm feeling kind of sad at this stage because all good things come to an end and, of course, this blog will. We have all had so much pleasure posting here and a few disagreeable moments. Overall we have all learned something, made friends and discovered that the people who make big, blockbuster films are just like us (but just a lot more talented).
Thankyou for making this film, which allows us to get to see Brendan on screen again playing our lovely Rick. We are indebted to you.
I hope you get the time to update again at the end of your work.

David, Bella is gone for good bro. She took the dirigible and left me for another woman a couple of weeks ago. I'm so sorry man. I tell what though.... If you give me a few days, I'll draw up some blueprints for a new set of armor. The jet-packs are still here, but I wouldn't advise flying without your suit. I was drunk this one time and decided to do some naked jet-packing, and almost disintegrated my bum!!!! LOL. Good times, I tell ya... Good Times. Anyway, I'm gonna go to my tent and get started.

big swiss hughs

Does anyone know yet at all when the movie clips from this movie will be released on here and other mummy 3 movie wesites and other movie websites that have movie trailers and clips and tv spots and featurettes and so on and so forth???, just curious???. I'm assuming that they'll be released by next week?!?!?!, or the week right after that, one of those two weeks, right before the week of the mummy 3 movie coming to theaters on august 1st, friday???. Well if anyone knows the answer for sure!, please let me know by replying to me on here that if you do know when, you can let me know when by replying to me on here and if you give me an answer of a timing that is almost exact, or that you think is almost exact, i'll be o.k. with that!!!=). Anyways!, i hope all you anxious mummy 3 movie fans are holding up well, which waiting for the mummy3 !, but don't worry because it'll be here in, well tomorrow it'll be in only 2 weeks, i mean on sunday july the 13th is when it'll be here in 2 weeks because sumday is when the next full week starts anyway!, right?, i don't week as in monday thru friday!, i mean as in sunday to saturday, as shown and/or seen on the calender! =). Jim!, it'll most likely be on the friday of the week before the mummy 3 comes to the movie theaters on august 1, so like the last friday in july which would be on july 25th, 2008 friday!. I'm not sure where though!, that part of your question though, might be able to answered by someone else on here, because unfortunately, i'm not sure where the mummy 3 movie premiere will be premiered!, it might be in hollywod california!, maybe though!.

Dear Rob, since you are mentioning here the Beijing Olympics, I'd like to remind you and everyone else that several thousands more innocent people have lost their freedom or even their lives when the communist government is trying to stage this Olympics show to the world. A new "Great Wall" is being built when many souls yearning for freedom is being buried on its foundation. This is happening today under everyone's eyes. When sighing for the grand wall (i.e. the Olympics), please do not ignore those being buried (in jail)!

I just stumbled across this site last week. I am once again amazed that when I saw an awesome summer movie coming out, it just happens to be my old fishin buddy Rob at the reigns again. I will continue to watch with great anticipation until the movie is released.
I must congratulate you (even though it is very late) on your three new babies. I'm sure you will be looking forward to some quiet time with them. Best of luck with the Release.

It is a pretty funny idea for NBC to tie the Beijing Olympics with Mummy -- the tagline for the movie is "A New Evil Awakens"! They fit perfectly from this sense!!

I'm really really excited for this movie, ive been following along with every new blog entry, new video, trailer, tv spots, trailers, you name it I followed along. It's definetely been a long wait since the mummy returns but i'm sure Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is going to be worth the wait. Even though there is the loss of rachael weiz i know people will take well to maria bello as they watch. And i think that rob cohen definetely knows what he's doing with this movie, and that he knows what he wants. Not to be rude or anything of the sort but i think this movie will make up for stealth, it just wasnt as popular as xxx or the fast and the furious, and it worked below rob's ability as a director. But anyways, i just have to say that im happy with the progress that rob's been making, he seems to be doing a great job. To be honest, i wasnt so sure about the cgi when i found that it wasnt coming from a company like ILM but after seeing the trailers and tv spots, i have to say nice work, its very impressive. and i cant wait to see the movie in theaters to see what else is in store with that and the whole film itself. One last thing, if mr. cohen reads this sometime soon i would recommend a little something with advertisement, i think that it might help the fans that aren't so sure about maria bello playing evelyn to maybe show a little more of maria as evelyn with the tv spots, trailers and such, just so that it would give them a better feel for her when they see the film - just a thought.

wow I can't actually believe there are only two weeks left till the premier! Can't wait, saw the teaser dubbed in Hungarian before the Indiana Jones movie just a couple of days ago, and man, it's terrific!! I've been addicted to The Mummy ever since the first film came out and I'm so happy there's a sequel to the first two. There are some rumours around that there will be more, well, I'd LOVE to see more for sure! esp. now the Alex is a grown-up in the story. Seven years ago, while I was still not older than a teenager so to say - I started a fan fiction club where we created a story for the O'Connells with the grown-up Alex and it's so good to see the fantasy partly becoming true :))) Brendan is sexier than ever, but I am a little concerned about the new Evy, as I am very much used to Rachel Wisz playing the character, and it's always strange to see a new face for an old name, if you see what I mean. But nevertheless I am awaiting the film with much excitement, and thank you Rob for this wonderful blog that let us have a glimpse behind the scenes. Love from Hungary, Timea.

On a lighter note, I have finished the blueprints for the new and improved stealth suits. I will begin the prototype building phase immediately (after I have a drink). Maz, give the ol' dirigible a nice polish and I'll see if I can give it an upgrade later. As for the old suits... I'd throw them out. Who knows what Bella did with/in them. I suggest you throw those suits in with my old tent. LOL.

OK, I'm going back to the tree house to continue my work (after I go to the strip club). Be weary soldiers, you never know when a troll will try and ambush us. Captain Out!!

Hey Rob,
So took Dad to cinema and he saw the trailer,I have to thank you for that.It was the best thing a son could do to be at the movies with his Dad ,like when he was a kid dreaming of working in films.
Only now Dad was able to see a trailer for the Mummy3 and enjoy the fact that I had been involved.
He can't wait to see it,and my family here with my wife (Chinese) we are all going to see it en-mass.

Well everyone!, we now have about 10 days until the mummy and the mummy returns is released on blu ray disc!. Also!, we have about 17 days until the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor movie soundtrack is released in stores that sell movie soundtracks!. And last but definately not least!, it's now 20 days untill the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor movie finally arrives in to the the movie theaters, here in the u.s.a!!!, i totally can't wait to finally go and see it already!!!. hi,people, i just wanna say that i have seen JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, but i must say that altought i found it entertaining i think that this movie is not so much worthy, off course we dont need to be "oscar stuff" but believe me, as a long time fan of Jules Verne`s novels i think that Hollywood doesnt take "seriously" anymore the father of science fiction just like they did in the past, for example: you can watch anyday the 1954`s 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA and despite its typical "disneyfied" feel you still can see an epic adventure, part action part toughtfull specially when you see James Mason as Captain Nemo paraphrasing the original words from the very same novel " the sea is everything,its part of a supernatural movement for it, in land men can fight each other and unleash all horrors and misery, but here their power is nothing, here i find peace, here i am free", you see?? the problem is that altought Jules Verne wrote adventure stories that not neccessarilly to be just for youngsters!! not to mention treat young readers, its like taking Mellvil`s MOBY DICK or Joseph Conrad`s LORD JIM just as "kiddie fests" am not trying to be so "booky" but i think that in the past Hollywood did justice to these classic adventure books than nowadays filmakers do right now.

you should not compare with jules verne. Watch it as a own movie. Till now I saw only a few little parts and I think I will like it. It's a great fantasie-adventure with great effects.

Ohh Nicole, so you had the "pleasure" to meet another of our usual visitors...Actually, one of the most persistent not-so-well-intentioned posters we have to fought...He was very excited before the release of Indy4 and he came here constantly, to ask " Why could you prefer a " copy" instead of the original Indy ?? Adventure has had always just one name....What?? you prefer Brendan Fraser instead of Harrison Ford??." and many things like that... We used to tell him " so, Indy fan, what, doesn´t Indy have his own Blog ? Why are you coming here and playing the troll ?? ...After the release of Indy4 he disappeared thanks God ( weird...maybe he didn´t like the movie so much ?? )
Anyway, doesn´t surprise me that he is here again...He knows that attacking " anything Brendan" we are gonna come out and I guess he likes that battles ( BTW Journey3D is having very good reviews, specially those that are coming from the regular people ! And I can´t wait to see it )...Do as you want Nicole...but I tell you girl...he is like a troll in disguise...he comes talking nicely first...our group here is so polite , so, somebody of the group replies him...and then he starts to bash TM3, Rob, the Cast...etc. You can check his posts in previous entries...or in the very first ( or second ) entry ( I can´t remember ), you can check the posts of some " Dany1876" guy...who used to express his thoughts in a curiously similar way ( wooww Danny said almost the same things that Indy said...)

OK...my old Mummy friends know it: I´m a pretty " vindictive" gal when somebody wants to attack people I love...and I can´t forget he did depreciate TM3, Rob, Brendan and so on...

Nicole, there are adaptations from books which give justice to them, if you liked Journey 3-d, ok, i liked the idea of the "wath if some work of fiction was based on true", its wath i was discussing previously abouth when maz said that he/she says that Jules Verne had visions of the future just like some kind of Nostradamus. I dont think he really have seen wath he wrote, or at least "lived trought" or really experienced these voyages, he had a great imagination but dont forget he had lots of info from books, newspapers and science magazines of the time.
Abouth "JOURNEY" its entertaining but i still prefer the 1959's version, even they used iguanas disguised as dinosaurs and the subterranean world was just a matte paint

Well indy v rick, we meet again. Are you really disappointed that your long awaited Indy film was not well received? These films HAVE been received well. The point is a film is meant to entertain and these films will entertain.
There is a definite taste of sour grapes methinks.

OMG! August 1rst seems so far....

Yep I've got the smelling salts (just in case). Do you think they'll throw Brendan at us too (my sister said that I wouldn't duck if they did.....she knows me so well).
After that we have The Mummy, Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor on August 1st. I will be at the cinema at the earliest opportunity. Can't wait.
I think I said last year that we'd be having a Bren-fest this year. I didn't envisage the extent of it. Every time I put my computer on I find a new video clip of a Brennie interview. If not that I find lots of lovely photos.

My beloved friend KL saw "Journey to the Center of the Earth", and she is...barely alive LOL LOL She loved the movie ( she made a pretty VIVID description about HOW YUMMY Brendan looks), and she swears I´m gonna die TOMORROW seeing the wonderful Journey !! YESSSS....

Hiya Mummy Gang! I will confirm that I am JUST BARELY ALIVE after experiencing the thrill of Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D!! It was an absolutely awesome time at the movies! Brendan was definitely right when he said he defies anyone NOT to have a good time at this. The 3D effects were amazing, see it that way if you can, folks…but it would stand up just as well in 2D, because it was a great story and an absorbing adventure that looked beautiful even in 2D, I’m sure. And yes…Brendan looked absolutely yummy, ladies…stunning really! He was also adorable and did a WONDERFUL job in the role, as always. Josh Hutcherson is a very handsome and talented young man who also was wonderful. Anita Briem was beautiful and did a great job too.

DeeDee Honey, it’s true, you ARE gonna die when you see this!! Did I mention Brendan looks sizzling hot? Brendan, if you are reading this, I loved you in this, and I love you in every acting performance…you are absolutely one of a kind in my book. I know you also had Executive Producer duties, and you should be very proud of this film! I can tell you are, your enthusiasm at all the interviews you’ve done is overwhelming and infectious! You’ve done a marvelous job promoting the movie and TM3! You deserve a good rest after all this is over! 

I was also at the Universal event, gang…I was at both appearances of Brendan and saw him in person! I wasn’t close enough to touch his hand this time like when I saw him at the Ellen show. But it was still wonderful to see him “live” once again. And I got a great Mummy t-shirt from it!! (DeeDee, I forgot to tell you that part!)

I love the pictures of Rick and Evie!! Brendan and Maria look great together in those pics (the dancing one and the tea one!) I can’t wait to see this movie!! I’m so psyched!!

Back, after my long hiatus away from America!

Very touching entry there, Mr. Cohen. I am very excited to see the film. Everytime I see the commercial, I rewind it on my DVR to watch it again.

For those of you interested--and I know some of you are--the soundtrack has cover art and a track listing. It looks to be pretty long and hopefully very promising. I hope Mr. Edelman did a really fantastic job.

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!

Well guys, just checking in from a writing break.
I really wonder why my best writing time is between 22.00 pm and 01.00 am??? I really just don't get it.

I just watched the interviews with Rob, Brendan, Maria, Michelle and Jet Li on moviesonline.ca and was thriled. I jsut so need to watch the Mummy 3 now. Unbelievable.

And I soooo wish I could meet our dear Rob, he was so funny and charismatic at his interview. (Not that I didn't think that before from watching the vid's on this site.)

Anyway, TM3 won't be released in Germany till August the 7th. One whole week later than at the places of the rest of you guys.... I just want to warn you:
I won't come here during the first week auf august, so that you can't spoil me my fun...LOL I'll come back as soon as possible to tell you my impressions of the movie. Just so you know. And no one accuses me of abandoning the support for this movie or anything. ^-^

Today I was totally unproductive. Maybe I should start writing the whole night?? Still at least 20 pages to go...

Hi everyone. I'm back from seeing Journey 3D in London. My sister and I had an absolute blast!!!!!! We had such a lot of fun. Yes we ducked, shrieked, then laughed. I didn't get the effect of Brendan spitting in my eye because I closed my eyes but my sister did. I wasn't expecting to see Brendan so close up (when swimming under water it felt like he swam right past me and I could reach out and touch him if I wanted to...... but I contained myself). I agree with KL, he looked so hot ( but I've never seen him three dimensional before or so close up). KL I am so jealous that you went to Universal........ but I forgive you.
The film was really funny (with Brendan's usual impeccable comedic timing). My sister said she hadn't enjoyed a film that much for ages. My other sister took her grandson to see it on Sunday and they both loved it too.
I've come back to lots of Mummy 3 interviews and new pics. What a bonus. I can't wait till August 1st!!!!! Aren't we all lucky Brennie fans?

I'm looking toward watching this movie with good and bad feelings. I love the 1st two but am really disappointed that the actor playing Evie has changed. I hate it when I'm into something and a main character changes. It's happened several times in the movie world & I really liked the original Evie. This is nothing against the new actor playing the part. I'm sure she's good even though I'm not familiar with her work but a change like this makes the movie too different, like it's not part of a movie "ology." Even though she is not the main character, her part is very crucial and I feel like I did when Clarice changed after Silence of the Lambs. Even though Clarice was the main character, I feel like Evie is very close in importance. I will give it a try though, not promising the DVD will sit side by side with this movie's two predecesors.

LOL!! I just played the Chariot Chase game on themummy.com and I can officially say that I've caught the Dragon Emperor!! Yes!!

Alright fine!, i'm sorry!, i wont ask anymore about the darn webpage on facebook that i'm still assumeing is something exclusive from the mummy 3 !, that you wont share with us all on here, for who the heck knows what stupid reason?!?!?!. We also have 8 days until the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor original score music soundtrack comes out on july 29th, 2008 tuesday!. and last but not least!, we have 11 days until the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor is finally released in movie theaters on august 1st, 2008 friday!=), i totally can't wait to finally get to go and see it already! =)...

Yesterday Brendan Fraser and Maria Bello where in Madrid, capital of my country, promoting The Mummy Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor. I had no idea they were here. If I knew it, I would travel to Madrid to see them.

Have you seen the news about the OST? I found a web page with the list of the tracks. I Was surprised when I read the last one. Now I want to listen at it, it seems to me that It’s really beautiful.

I saw photos from Michelle Yeoh’s web and I decide I love the clothes which appear in the film. Especially, I like Evelyn’s evening dress. Maybe I’ll wear one similar on Carnival…

Hey everyone. I'm in an internet cafe near Birmingham, where I'm cat sitting for a family member. They are showing our favourite 3D film in Birmingham with our favourite actor in it. I saw it again yesterday and I'm going again on Thursday (I love it). They showed the trailer for The Mummy Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor before the film and there was a very large poster up in the foyer of the cinema. Talk about a Brendan overload.

Today I watched a spot on TV about the Mummy and I remembered one thing. If all of us are going to see The Mummy 1st august… we could tell here how was our day in the cinema, which scenes we like the most… But only if you want, of course.

BUT there are some people who won't be able to watch it around August the 1st right away, as there are countries (such as Germany - my home country) where the release date is later. (August 7th)

I guess I have to stay away that week to not ruin my fun. ^-^

Guys, I'm almost finished!! Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow I'll have my last writing days at the library as I need to make a last check on my source materials. Only around 5 pages to go. Can't believe it. The weekend will be left for the last check for misspelling and the layout issues. The layout issues are sometimes the most annoying part and my friend who helped me with my last paper is away for a vacation job. So I have to get annoyed all by myself!! (Night shift with coffee I guess,..) Sorry, very off topic I know.

That was soooooo great!!!!!
The fight between Jet Li and Brendan just looks stunning. And a little bit violent...maybe I have to close my eyes?? No, no, no - I would never close my eyes. That would be a waste.

I have to say maybe I'll try to get into the pre-premier, which our cinema sometimes offer.
That means: the movie will come out on August 7th (in Germany) and the movie will be shown for the first time on August 6th around 23 pm. I hope they'll offer it. And I'll definitely watch it on August 8th, because my friends and I already made an appointment for watching TM3. Oh, and I forgot: I'll watch it with my parents sometime later, too.
That makes already threetimes going to the theaters to watch TM3.

Hey DeeDee, what an awesome find!! This HBO First Look is just spectacular, so exciting...and I must agree with you, I loved all the well-deserved praise from everyone about Brendan! It was wonderful to see Rob and all the great things he and others had to say about each other, too. You can feel all the good emotions and excitement about the film and the people who've worked so hard to make it.

And yes, I liked the looks of the scenes between Brendan and Maria, and I think will have some great on-sceen chemistry. Nicole, I agree with you that Rachel and Brendan did, too...but I think I can really feel it from Brendan and Maria, too. I think they look beautiful together. ;)

Hello to all my fellow Mummettes,

thanx for all the kind congratulations! I went to a copy shop yesterday to have three issues copied and book binded. Afterwards I had to sit in a coffe shop to wait for the papers to "cool down". LOL If anyone would have asked I'd have to say: "I have to wait for my thesis to cool down." That's so awfully funny, ain't it?

At around noon I was finally able to turn my 103 pages thick thesis in. Thank god!
The secretary of the decan looked at me when I came in and when I went "I want to turn my graduation papers in!" She was like: "Oh, honey, that's why you look so radiant."
LOL

Then I took the afternoon off. First I went to our library and searched fo victims to tell them my news. But it was no one there...(except the girl I'm living with, as she is also working there...she had heard my news already of course.) (I'm finally working again tomorrow. I'm so happy.)
I went shopping, ice cream eating, and to the cinema. I watched Mamma Mia, as there was a lack of alternatives.

So today, I'll go to Frankfurt to do some more shopping. In the train I'll start learning for my examinations though.

I'm really happy that (almost) everthing is finished now. Now I really can look forward watching TM3. ^-^

Oh well, I'll just have to wait (well I have had a Brennie overload lately, after seeing Journey 3D three times and trawling the net for video interviews and the American premiere photos......there are lots popping up everywhere.....I'm exhausted).
I expect I'll go and see The Mummy Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor more than once (well it's mandatory for Brendan's fans).

So, Edelman's score sounds for the large part like it came straight out of a b-film from the early 1990s with its casio keyboard sound masquerading as an orchestra. What happened to the LSO? Was it worth paying for a world class orchestra to have most of it covered by some very outdated synths? It really is no surprise that Edelman once more failed to come up with the goods.

Hey Team.

Just bought the new soundtrack on iTunes, and it is fantastic. The themes are great. The main theme is especially nice. It is very optimistic, but it swashes and buckles, and I can't get it out of my head. It's really a dense score. Very ethnic at times, which is fantastic. I hope it will capture the film when I see it. We knew it wasn't going to contain any Silvestri or Goldsmith music, but this score fits in perfectly. Silvestri's score is still my favorite, but this one may be the best of the bunch.

Good work, Mr. Edelman. Can't wait for the movie, Robbie.
