The new trailer is awesome. I can't wait for August 1.

I've watched the trailer about 10 times now, and it's still pretty damn rad!!! The effects and sets look really really AWESOME... and Jet Li's mustache is f*ckin' PIMP!! LOL. I love it!!!

Oh, and thanx for bringing credibility to that AICN review. There was alot of debate online as to whether it was genuine or not.

Good Luck with the rest of the post production process!! I hope all those effects shots come out beautifully and in a timely manner.

Thanks for the trailer, Rob. I loved it and still have had no doubts about The Mummy. I know I will enjoy it along with the other followers (and, hopefully, many others to their surprise!)

It looks so exciting and definitely maintains the spirit of the first two films. I am a fan of both but did enjoy the first one so much more. As someone who already has an interest in Imi's KRAV MAGA, I absolutely cannot wait to see Brendan fight Jet Li!!! That is what I'm looking forward to seeing the most this summer. THE FIGHT!!!

The effects look fantastic (the Yeti, the dragon) and I'm sure it'll look even more amazing August 1st!

Hey Rob, methinks Delilah already noticed Brendan's super-buff looks!!!!!! If she didn't, I certainly did!!!!! I think we were pretty aware of his "delightful powers" too. I don't know how we are going to be able to watch the whole film without being overcome by his "delightful powers". I suspect we will make the sacrifice though.
The trailer is awesome and I'm counting the days till the film is released and I can see it in England. We always believed that this film would be great and now everyone else is starting to believe it too.

Incidentally, the first film made millions so perhaps the cinema goers liked the jokes and the feeling of the film. In that case we wouldn't expect this film to be totally different. It has the same characters in it for goodness sake (with the exception of Rachel, before you say it)!!!!!! Rick isn't going to change his personality, is he? Neither is Jonathan. I like the trailer and I know I'll like this film. Rachel isn't in it but I'm sure it won't make any difference.

I hear "the Happening" has been slated by the critics. I enjoyed Sixth Sense and Dragonheart and lots of other films too. The fact remains that it is purely a matter of taste. If the Muummy films aren't to your taste Robert THEN DON'T BOTHER TO WATCH THEM !!!!!!!! It's logical. I don't watch something if the content doesn't interest me. For instance I've never been induced to watch The Amptiville Horror or The Exorcist but I've seen Sixth Sense twice and The Gift twice. It is purely a matter of choice.

The trailer looks great!! I was wondering how the trailer was going to look, after I've cn such a good teaser. It was just a little different from the teaser with additional footages. I hoped the trailer would take a complete different style from the teaser but I still love the trailer ! "I really hate MUMMY!!!" lol and Also I love that "Yeah the same mummy, TWICE!" lol hilarious!

Well It is very obvious now, that this very beautifully made mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor movie will have a very very bright future in the box offices world wide once it's been released to theaters world wide on august 1st, 2008 friday and later dates probably, too!. I can also already tell you that it'll also have a very bright future being released on to dvd and blu ray disc in like either november 2008 or december 2008 or january 2009 or february 2009!. I bet, alot of people will be seeing it in the theaters like they did when pirates 1, 2, and 3 came out and like the mummy 1 and the mummy 2 came out to the theaters!!!. And there is most definately-absolutely no disbelief about it either unless your pretty much not the type to believe it as the fact to be of reality!. I mean, hey!, it IS going to be a kick ass movie anyways, that everyone is going to want to see in theaters when it's released to theaters and then the same with when it's released to dvd and blu ray disc in either november 2008,or december 2008 or january or february 2009! =). Well i've gotta go for now ladies and gents!, so i'll talk to you mummy fans out there later!=). The more I see about this movie, the more I want to see it. I kind of had my doubts due to certain casting changes, but I think it's going to be awesome. I can't wait to see Rick O'Connell back up on the big screen, he's one of my all time Favs, and this looks very promising. I will be ordering at least one pizza during the promotiion with Papa Johns if not more.

I know this topic is not exactly in discussion right now and I'm probably a little late to say this but I have to. This is not meant to offend anyone. But for months we have been building this blog getting to know each other and learning about each others lives, home countries and even our beliefs, it has been a fun adventure for everyone involved we have talk The Mummy and TROLL invasions and have gotten very off topic with our delusional sessions but the main thing is we have enjoyed it and we have (in the words of Rob) built our own little community and as Rob has said himself we have gotten to know each other as individuals through our posts, so although this is The Mummy Blog is has been for along time the Mummy community a gathering of people from all over the world brought together under one subject but we don't have to discuss that subject all the time but the problem is the the past number of weeks people new to the site have wanted to keep everything very Mummy only and the original members who helped build this place have felt they can not express there own opinions or go off subject and say things fun because when they do they get bombarded with comments like "LETS STAY ON SUBJECT and leave our personal lives out of this blog" but that is not this place we have freedom of speech here, we talk off subject, we discuss our lives and we help each other out with advice or words of support when it is needed and I really do not want that to change so please do not let it happen, everyone is welcome here but they need to realize that this is what this place is.
I think I have managed to say that as kindly as possible, again I do not want to offend anyone I just wanted to express a concern I have been having for a while with some comments I have read and some of the feeling of other members. This is a happy free place, Lets keep it that way.

She was kind enough to bring me to the set to watch you in action, I must say that I have never seen something more impressive in my life! I cannot thank you and Barbara enough for letting me witness the filming of a small portion of the Mummy 3!!!! I cannot believe that a year has passed and the Mummy will be in theaters soon

Sean, you can be sure that Brendan will attend any premieres of this film, probably along with the rest of the cast. But that won't be for a while.
Ricardo, if you look a little further back on the old threads you'll see that we have discussed why Rachel didn't choose to play Evie again. There are various explanations but only Rachel knows what the real reason is.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am so happy that I found this site. It's such a family and I love it so much! We care about each other, we stick up for each other, and we defend what we stand for as a group. That is just amazing to see that from people from different countries. Its amazing how this one movie can bring together such a group of people who probably would never have spoken or known each other otherwise. I just wanted to say that even though I don't know everyone and I haven't been from the begining I really love you guys! We are glad you like being here ladies. Errrrrmmmmm I've watched the trailer hundreds of times and I have numerous downloaded video clips of Brendan. The ones I can't download I bookmark the links to them. OK so I'm a Brendan addict!!!!!! I have most of his films on DVD. I just got an imported Dutch copy of Journey To The End Of The Night because I got fed up of waiting for it to be released in PAL format in the UK. I can't wait for Mummy 3 to be released and I want to see Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3D as soon as I can. Hopefully there will be a cinema in the UK converted to show it in 3D. I'm really cheesed off that they put off releasing Inkheart until next year. I was really looking forward to sseing that.
Sean, Hopefully there will be a lot more clips for Mummy 3 popping up in the next couple of months and news about various premieres. There had better be a premiere in London or I'll be spitting fire (and turning green and bursting outta my clothes.....well maybe not but there will be steam rising out of my head).

I know your frustration well about them not releasing Inkheart this year, that was very dissapointing, but hopefully these nice two movies coming out will appease us until such time as that one comes out.

Well lets see I haven't watched the new one over ten times yet, but the teaser I watched at least fifty if not more, and I can't wait for clips of the premiere either. I love Brendan's movies, though I only own the Mummy Movies, and Mrs Winterbourne at the current moment. Might have to rememdy that once savings are better.

While I agree with you that the Chinese government has a lot to answer for, I am a die hard athletics fan and believe that the olympics should be just what it is.... athletes from several countries competing against each other. I strongly believe the olympics should not be a focus for political debate. That is a seperate issue. The fact is that China is the host nation this year. The olympics should not be spoiled by politics coming in to it.
I appreciate that you may have very good, valid reasons for your beliefs but I cannot agree with you on having the positive effects of such a big occasion spoiled by people trying to make a point about human rights issues.
The world is aware of those issues and there are many people working in the background to try to put pressure on the Chinese goverment.
Too often politics has ruined the olympics and I don't believe that it is acceptable.
Sorry to go on about this but I have very strong views on the subject.

The trailer is good and all, but where is the family? My son keeps asking me where is Alex and what happened to him. I hope it explains it in the movie.

Why change the actress? Replacing the actress that played "Evelyn" in the previous movies is like replacing Brendan Frasier with someone else. NO OFFENSE to anyone PLEASE this is just my perspective and I am not the only one that feels that way....MANY others I know do as well.

My first impression was there was no family chemistry as there was in the previous film nor was there that classic romance between the couple as the original movie portrayed.

China is having probably the worst human rights records in today's world, everyone knows that. Does it have anything to do with the Olympics? Unfortunately it does. the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is organizing it as a political event. There have been an increasing wave of repression in China because of the upcoming Olympics, in an apparent attempt to portray a stable image to the world. Because of the Beijing Olympics, the already horrible human right crisis in China has been getting worse - which include killing in Tibet, repression against Uighurs, increasing arrests of Falun Gong practitioners, House Church members, human rights lawyers, and even "appealers". "Appealer" is a recently created Chinese word - meaning those people who go to Beijing to appeal their cases to the higher officials when their local governments won't solve the problems due to heavy corruption. By China's constitution appealing is legal and that's why in Beijing there is an appealing office. But since typically there are hundreds or even thousands of people in front of the appealing office in Beijing, the government now considers them a "threat to the stability" and started to beat them, arrest them, and put them in forced labor camps. In Beijing, because of the Olympics, many houses were torn down (the owners were not offered fair compensation), farmers who regularly sell food are being kicked out, and there is a new "rental law" issued so the government can fully control who can live in Beijing, who should be kicked out, and who should be locked up.

I'm from China and I'm always proud of Chinese culture and its people. But the CCP does not represent its people. Earlier this year Director Steven Spielberg resigned as artistic adviser to the Beijing Olympics and he said his conscience would no longer allow him "to continue with business as usual."

Remember, the CCP has killed more innocents than Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia combined and it has never stopped doing so. The CCP remains to deny the existence of the Tiananmen Square massacre of June 4, 1989. And they just committed similar crime in Tibet and many Buddhist monks are still locked up.

I was just curious about why Rachel Weisz who played in the 1st movie as a love intrest and Rick's wife in the 2nd Mummy movies isn't playing that role in this one? Did she turn down the part or was she not asked to play Rick's wife in this one? I really liked the trailer the movie looks like it will be great. I just would like to have seen Rachel playing in this one also. I think her and Brendan have a great chimistery together.

I appreciate the information you have given Jane but it is the Chinese government who are responsible for all this. The other countries participating are only doing so to compete. I don't know what the answer to all this is but I'm sure that there are organisations trying to put pressure to bear. What is the answer? Call the olympics off? I don't believe that the athletes should be caught up in politics, although I certainly don't condone what is happening in China or Tibet. I don't think anyone could condone that. As you say, the Chinese government have a terrible record for not respecting human rights but it has been like that for a long time. I still don't believe that the olympics should be ruined because of this.
Human rights issues take years to resolve and I fully agree that
people should fight for basic human rights.

The Olympics should not have been awarded to Beijing at all. But here I'm not trying to talk about Olympics. I'm a Mummy fan and have been waiting for this third movie. My point is, I don't see the Mummy 3 movie should have more connection to the Beijing Olympics than China's human rights do. I can not un-know what I have already known about China's situation. I would like to have moments to enjoy the movie. Now I have to think about the Beijing Olympics when I think about the movie! If they really have to tie the both together, I would stop complaining if NBC/Universal does the Mummy-Olympics ad by adding something like tobacco packaging warning message. Say: "For hosting this game in Beijing, thousands of more Chinese people have been put in jail and some even lost their lives." I hope when people watch anything connecting to this bloody event, at least give a moment of silence for those innocent people who lost their freedoms or even lives precisely because of it!

Trailer looks great, but....What happened to Rachel??? It won't be the same without her, she and Brendan have a great bond in the movie, as if you feel like the are truly in love.

Sooooo happy & excited to see Mummy 3 coming out. From what I've seen in the trailer at the web site, it's going to be a smash. Hope you're all prepared to make lots of money. Good for you. It's a lot of work but your fans appreciate it.

Wow!, you all have posted so much on here since the last time i posted my reply on here!, that is pretty much impossible for me to keep up with you on here at all anymore!. Well !, other then that, it's now 24 days untill the mummy and the mummy returns are re-released on blu ray disc!. Also!, it's now in 34 days until the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor arrives to the movie theaters!. Since you all have posted so much on here since i last posted my reply to you all, i'm just gonna wait until the next few people reply on here several times after comment reply it put here!. But i now know i'll have to do it very soon, just to keep up with all of you on here anymore!, because omg!, you all reply to each other so much, and so soon!, that it just absolutely unbelieveable!. Although!, i don't mean that, negatively, of course =). Well !, other then the theatrical release of the mummy 3 coming soon, we'll be seeing the release of mummy 3 movie clips and tv spots soon, and maybe even some movie featurettes about the movie too, you now, like behind the scenes footage!, and the movie soundtrack and and maybe more movie posters and other mummy 3 movie related stuff and much more other mummy 3 stuff!. Wheres Johnathan all the main character paraded on the front page very cool and well done might I add but Johnathan is not there. Why?

These thousands of people all have families, relatives, and friends... There is nothing wrong with Olympics itself, but when communist China is the host country and the government is using it to abuse human rights, there is nothing to celebrate. History is ironically repeating itself. Nazi Germany's Olympics in 1936 was a shame to the whole world, wasn't it?!

I hope Rob and the company can re-consider their plan before it's too late. Beijing's Genocide Olympics will not be something glorious that one would like to attach to!

Nicole!, i totally understand what you ment about the dvds and blu ray discs after what i said, but honestly, i buy blu ray disc movies because i have a blu ray disc player and hdtv!, so that's why i mentioned that, thats what the type of format that i am gonna buy it on in january 2009, if that's when it comes out, which i'm sure it will ! =). And i thought that if anyone who might have the same type of blu ray player and hdtv as i do , that someone out there on here, might reply to me about it!. I'm sorry if what i said before was misunderstandable!=(. Anyways!, i hope all you mummy fans out there are holding up well, while waiting for the day of the mummy 3 to be released to the theaters this august 1st finally, but don't worry!, it'll be here sooner then you all know it will !, especially when we try to not think about it too much at all, which i know thats a hard thing to do!= /. Hi everyone. Well I'm trying not to be too impatient for the film to be released because it is released in the week before my birthday (that's a nice birthday present eh)?
I'm keeping myself occupied by searching the web for any photos of "Mr perfect" or videos from his travels promoting another film
(I won't mention the name but it involves 3D). It keeps me off the streets and stops me getting bored while we wait for Rob to find the time to update us again.
Girls, any Brennie fans are welcolmed with open arms here (I'm sorry, they're not his arms but you can use your imagination). Joking aside, we welcome new input and the friendship we gain from it.
David is a very kind young man and he wouldn't want you to feel unwanted here. We are all a little deflated at the moment..........need more Mummy 3 input................

It's a little bit a birthday present for me too... mummy3 comes 2 weeks after :-))) There's a lot of birthday this year. The blog will be one and our sunnyboy 40...
and it drives me crazy that I have to wait and wait and wait

Well maybe The Mummy will get me through the month lol.

Yes Nicole, I'd seen that photo too. Have you been to Getty Images and searched on Brendan Fraser? There are loads of good photos there.
We are quiet because we've been looking for the photos. They are popping up everywhere.

My order for the Novel version of this movie came in today, so I'm debating reading it now or reading it after the movie. I did that with TMR, and still loved the movie, but the tempation to read is very strong.

Oh well take care all Oh and at the Mummy site the have lots of nice pics up and lots of screen savers too, so thats very great. Didn't see anything for TV spots or anything else, but this is getting me more excited for the movie, August needs to get her fast

I use Google, Yahoo and MSN but I tend to go to Wire Images and Getty Images, sometimes Starpulse (cos they get photos) and then a day or so later to the Hungarian fan site, because they always get the new photos. It depends what you put in as a search. I change what I put in and it brings up other stuff too.
I haven't heard yet whether any cinemas in England have been converted to show 3D but I'm hoping there will be some.
