Rob, I always had faith you would get us the trailer to look at. I can't tell you how happy I am to know it will be available soon. I'm so excited I could run down the street naked (it wouldn't be a pretty sight so I will resist the urge).
We all regard you and your family like our extended family too and, on behalf of all of us, I want to thank you for bringing our little group of Mummy Bloggers together. We've all made new friends and have really enjoyed hearing about the process of the making of this film. I can't wait till August!!!!!!!!!
We were all a little worried about Kyle. Thankfully, he is alright. I can't imagine what the poor victims of the tragedy are going through.
I'm going to let the others know about the trailer. I know they'll all be ecstatic. Thanks again for thinking of us when you are so busy keeping to your deadline.

I had just heard news that the Trailer would arrive the 22nd of May, so i hopped on here to tell all just to find out my sources were incorrect lol. Dose not matter to me its even better, i cant wait this movie is going to be Epic!!!!

Hallelujah!! Finally, we get to see a teaser trailer! The first thing that I do when I get home on Friday is...well isn't obvious. lol
It really seems that rob cohen knows what he's doing. I have faith that this will be a great movie and will prove all those critics out there wrong with all of their doubts about this movie.

I'm so thankful to hear that Kyle is fine after the terrible earthquake in China. It's such a terrible tragedy...I feel so much for all the victims. It must be especially sad for all of you, who have spent so much time there, to see all the suffering. I'm sure they are in all our hearts and prayers.

And Rob, thank you so much for your kindness. That was soooo very sweet of you to say that this Mummy family is like an extension of your family. We feel the same way toward you and yours! This has been an awesome journey for us all, thanks to you and your generous sharing with us on this blog. Thank you!!!

For anyone who has problems with the time difference do a search on abbreviations+pst and it gives you what the difference is. I'm on Greenwich meant time and we are 8 hours ahead of North America. It's 0934 hours here at the moment. David, expect to be able to view it at 5 p m . PST is the time in North America.

I have just seen the teaser trailer on Yahoo! Movies and I just want to thank you Rob and your team for putting this sequel together! It looks absolutely brilliant and have been following your blog since the project came together.

Great humourous lines from Brendan and John. The visual effects looks pretty damn sweet!! Even though everyone has their opinion on Maria Bello playing Evelyn, I think she'll do a great job on continuing the character.

Congratulations and many thanks to you Rob! Definately a film I want to see.

yes, I just saw the teaser as well on Yahoo! Movies and it was worth the wait. It still has that adventure/action spirit and looks well done. I really loved what I saw.

Saw the trailer. Movie looks nuts. Looks like a good old fashoned summer popcorn blockbuster. Those are getting more and more rare these days. Every movie seems to think it has to be million dollar baby. The trailer is already up internationally. I guess it was early or w/e but who cares! Movie looks awesome!!!

I am extremely impressed at what you have done. This is by far the most exciting film I've been looking forward to in years. This is hands down going to be one of the best sequels ever made in film. SUPERB WORK!!!

Also you have done well with casting, Jet Li was an AWESOME pick and one of the main reasons I want to see this so badly! Thanks Rob!

Well, after seeing the trailer it looks brilliant just as I thought it would. I've been a fan of the series from day one, and had the honour of working on The Mummy Returns in 2000. It was a shame to hear that this one wasn't going to be filmed in England like the other two; as working with the gang again and surely having as much fun as I did on the last one, hell I would have worked for free!

My congratulations to you Rob & the rest of the crew, on what will surely be the summers hit blockbuster. I for one & the family will be watching it on the 8th!

In trailer not even a single shot of JET LEE can come close to the drama which arnold vosloo created in the original mummy .. for god sake why didn't you hire any one experienced to shoot the film it all looks flat.. or may be it is too early to comment.. i just hope film is saved by a great script.

This trailer is incredible. I can't get enough of it.

Certainly looks interesting, I presume they are playing on Indy a bit with Brendan looking so young yet being a father to someone so old looking.

Hopefully it will turn up in English here in Hamburg Germany, if it does then I will see it, otherwise it will have to wait till it comes out for DVD Rental.

Well, that was well worth the wait. (I was in the middle of posting something similar to this, but somehow the page reloaded and I lost it all.) That was amazing. The best teaser trailer I've seen all year. And there was so much footage, it's hard to believe that was the teaser. All the snow stuff looks especially well shot. I love that plane. I love 'Why am I laughing?' The freakin' Yeti! That was a very good trailer. I've watched it three times already. And will probably watch it at least four more times before the day is over.

The gang is back on the big screen! And my Jonathan. My favorite moment in the trailer is when he says how he hates that mummies never play fair. Very funny! I'm glad they are buckling their swash, ay Maz? Steven, I noticed that about the music, too. It's nice that they are trying to keep to the formula somewhat. David and KL, I got goosebumps, too! Dee, it's better than I imagined as well. And now that that's off my chest, Cloudy's right" Calm down. lol I still hope the movie is fantastic and the trailer has put me at ease, but we still don't know. We will know on August 1st, baby!

In my opinion,

The movie has potential, but the CGI looks tacky, except for the "ground breaking" scene. The Yeti and ice scenes require more work.

Are these the final FX shots or is there scope to improve them?

Didn't much care for The Mummy Returns, but the original was excellent. Looks like this movie is going to find a happy medium and be a really fun summer flick. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm sooo glad to see my Mummy movies come back to life It is real now guys. There's so much about it I love, I agree Johnathan saying I hate Mummies they never play fair lol and The why am I laughing part also as you said clouded reality the visual shot are great The Yeti looks cool and my favourite at the minute (but it won't be for long my favourite part keeps changing lol) the fight scene between Jet and Michell is it? , I love it when he swings his sword at her and she does a jump twist thing to avoid it I totally am a sucker for fight scenes like that its great there's one in this movie I like it that Jet has powers over the 5 elements that and the magic side of things pulls me in even more I love the scene where Michelle wake the warriors to fight jet Love the way he walks up the stair with the book in her hands and of course THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA surprisingly I didn't expect it but I think the great wall is amazing and beautiful in real life I actually have a pic of it as a screen saver I have for a While I'll post a link later so you guys can see the pic I have It was a great twist saying The emperor buried his enemies under it I was sooo glad they showed a clip of him building the wall or burying his enemies that was the tease part for me I hope that's what the scene was anyway.
I don't know what clip you were watching person with no name but Jet did very well he had a great look of fear or something like shock on his face when he saw the army of his enemies coming towards him I liked it, I did,
I really hope there's a part in the movie showing how the emperor died or was cursed in the first place I'm sure there will be like the other Two movies, I was just hoping that maybe Jet would have looked a little more Mummy like you know decayed and that or Still Juicy as it is put, but when I thought about it the way it is done is better because it is believed by some that the real Terra cotta warriors were actually people made into statues they believe this because each statue is soo unique and individual from the rest so its better for him to look as he does. I also am totally amazed by how the sets look the emperors tomb shot were very very cool I love tombs anyway soo the way they look excites me even more.
OK I'm rambling now i know but there is sooo much I want to say I just love it and can't to see the movie now.

David, honey, I feel exactly the same way. Your description needs no more adding. Yeah, I think too, that Jet Li looked quite good. He actually looked human (and Jet Li doesn't manage that in his movies very often --- believe me! I don't mean that as harsh critic, but in the most movies he made he's always some kind of hero (very often tragic hero), who almost never shows much human emotions...)
You know, I had a friend who watched all kind of movies with Jet Li, so I know what I observed at last. I kind of like Jet Li, but as I stated before I'm no die hard fan (maybe not yet?? maybe after TM3??) .

Yeah, I liked Michelle Yeaoh, too. It's a little bit sad that there is so little of Luke Ford or Isabella, but as they are the newcomers in that movie, I guess they are not granted much time in the trailer...

Looks amazing - the cinematography looks great and the effects spot - on... and the weiz replacement looks great! But if there's one gripe to be had, where's the Mummy? All I saw were stone statues? :( Please tell me we have a grubby wet old mummy in this!

First off, Great job!! It looks great. After having a bad day I watched this, got goosebumps and when Fraser says" Why am I laughing?" I laughed so hard. Like the effects and it looks fun. I'm a big Mummy fan even the Universal classics, and I have faith in this one. Also I have admit another thing I mean I love Indiana JOnes and I will see that film for fan sake but this film really just lifted me up more so than any trailer I've seen. I guess beinga teenager when the first one came out and the second one have had a affect on me and this looks to carry that torch. Good JOb Rob.

I'm here again this trailer has got me more excited than i ever expected I have posted bout 5 times today.

I said "Not too bad Rob, Hows things" and he said....."Aww good," at this I turned to Maz like a weirdo Fan and said "He knows me" Maz gave me a weird look as if to say Well Dah "He knows you from the Internet site, then I turned around and Rob was there again and he said to me "David I think i'll have that other Cup of Tea now" lol apparently I had been making him tea all night lol aw I woke up laughing I think I have gone mad and I can't believe I am posting this hopefully you won't think i'm too gone in the head but it was too funny of a dream for me not to tell you guys lol.

Well I will be one to admit that I wasn't so sure about this without the traditional villian's from the first two movies and the Med-jai but this has peaked my interest. I'm a huge fan of the first two movies so this I hope will be great to watch. It looks really good and just seeing Rick and family back on the big screen...

A very nice trailer. I think this will be a very good movie. It may have us hardcore "Mummy" fans a little unnerved in the beginning, but I think by the end we will be flooding this blog with posts saying "When are you doing Mummy 4!?" :-)

I really think it is going to be a fun adventure movie definitely worth seeing on the Big Screen.

I admit I have not seen either of the earlier Mummy movies, though my husband has and is a fan of them. I'm anxious to see this one though simply because you've gone with China and Jet Li (which is probably why I'm actually pleased to hear the 'mummy' won't be too decomposed or 'gooey'). ;-)

Our daughter is from China, and as in many similar households, Jet Li is very popular. We all went to see Caspian today, and when this trailer came on, our daughter's face just lit up (as did mine, I freely admit). I'll be honest, you had her completely hooked the second she saw Jet Li, and especially Jet Li fighting Michelle Yeoh. You had me hooked when all you did was show the terra cotta army. So I am honestly, anxiously looking forward to my first Mummy movie. Though we'll probably be of the group rooting for the Emperor. ;-)

So Yea, I was checking this site for the Uwe Boll movie POSTAL and he actually mentioned Mummy 3. And I qoute...

Hi, peeps, how are you? i have seen TM3 trailer 5 times and now am decidely eager to watch the movie, i just hope it will be as funny as the first one when i saw it back in '99, maybe changing the cultural background and showing a new villain (which i think will top old Imhotep) will be the best thing the producers did for the franchise.

I agree with everything you are all saying about those pathetic little twerps, and I will be back there again when I can. Battling these guys could turn into a full-time job, LOL LOL, as they never seem to let up with their tiresome idiocy.

But the sudden burst of enthusiasm on IMDB and here from many who have seen the trailer is so heartening (and will hopefully begin to drown out those morons.)

Saw your post there KL and it made complete sense. They do not seem to understand the concept of common decency or good manners. As long as they insult us I will go back and talk common sense. You are right that they act like petulant teenagers or even toddlers.
This site has a more pleasant feel to it and there is always an air of humour here. I don't think the IMDb folk know what humour is. I haven't seen any indication of it there. Anyway, I'm glad to come back here.

I agree with you DeeDee, I think this one is gonna be even better than the first two--I can't wait for it!!!

I'm sure there are people on IMDB who will like the article--remember, there are some good people on there, (that particular board, along with the Crash board, are examples of ones that have especially rampant trolls and an unpleasant atmosphere) but the bad ones tend to be much louder and more persistent. That's why we have to drown them out as best we can.

Maz, your posts made perfect sense too--you really gave it to 'em!! And I will continue to stick up for this site and this movie there. Of course I will, whenever I have time to do so.
