Off To London
May 24, 2008 12:02 PM
Dear Mummy Family-- I'm off to London tonight after finalizing 43 Cool Full 3-D VFX shots today. We are up to 580 finals, 366 shots to go. The scoring begins on Tuesday and while there, I will shoot a few London-base shots with Brendan, Maria and John Hannah. The VFX work will continue by satellite hook up. The trailer has been getting a good reaction and there was a really cool article on www.maxim.com that I'm sure you will enjoy. There will be another trailer out with Universal's film "Wanted" starring Angelina Jolie on June 27th. Of course, I will have it here on my blog for all of you. More from London! Bye-Bye for now, Rob
Just got back from the London Expo, where Universal were promoting the new Mummy film - the trailer looks really cool on a big screen! Can't wait for it to open here in the UK!!!
By Clayton on May 24, 2008 2:12 PMHi Rob. By the time you read this we will be in the same country. I'll be 150 miles away from where you are (in Somerset). I'm getting pretty excited now!!!!!!
By maz on May 24, 2008 2:56 PMI loved the article. It looks like the trailer is impressing a lot of people (and why not). I haven't stopped watching it since it was put on this site.
I hope you have a good journey because it's hellishly windy here at the moment (2300 hours). If it's like that at Heathrow, rather you than me when you're landing.
I'm looking forward to the next update.
Vunderbar!
Excellent news, Robbie. I see Maz is excited. If she is excited, then I guess I must be too!
This is very cool news. A few shots in London, hmm? Could it be almost like the stuff in London is the second film? I think that is awesome.
Ry
By Ryan on May 24, 2008 3:19 PMThank you for the update Rob and good good good luck in London !
That article on Maxim is great ! Is so funny...I mentioned on the previous entry that I really liked the " potentially emasculating icicles " moment...but this comment, about Rick :"...but Rick looks the same as he did in the first one. That's what he likes about hunting mummies, man: They get older, he stays the same age...." is hilarious, it´s a sort of " Dorian Gray" thing...LOL LOL LOL !! Oh, and is so true....the man looks amazingly handsome ! LOL LOL LOL
Oh and yes, the teaser trailer is really getting good reactions. Even in the hostile IMDb´s "milieu", ´a lot of people is praising it !! And it deserves the praises cuz is simply fantastic...
So, on june 27th we´ll have another trailer ....YEEESSSSS!!!!!! that´s wonderful !!
HELLLLL YEEEAAAHHH!!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!
DeeDee
PS: excuse me Ry...uuhhh....I don´t wanna be nosy but...let me tell you...Maz is ALWAYS excited !! LOL LOL LOL
By Delilah on May 24, 2008 4:18 PM( sorry girl, just kidding !! )
Not every night. I'm calm when I'm asleep. It's just so near to home so I am very excited.
By maz on May 24, 2008 4:37 PMHave a good flight Rob. Hopefully the turbulence will be minimal (but not by the sound of the gusts of wind outside my home tonight).
Wow! Another trailer so soon? June 27th! Before we know it "The Mummy" will have been out and we'll all have seen it 10 times! ha ha.
Best of wishes to you Rob on the rest of you work on a film I eagerly anticipate.
By Steven on May 24, 2008 5:14 PMThe trailer is awsome and I´m looking for a Premiere here in Brazil! Peace!
By Cibele G. on May 24, 2008 5:48 PMMr. Rob Cohen!, I have a question for you about the upcoming second mummy 3 movie traier!!!, and the question i'm asking you is.........When you release the second movie trailer, will you be putting it on the website www.themummy.com, and this website robcohenthemummy.com???????.Please Reply!!!!!!!!!.

By Kate on May 25, 2008 8:06 PMI'm a bit late... but thanx for the new update Rob!! Good Luck on the scoring and the London shoot!!
I also have a question...
Since TM3 will have 3D shots in it, does that mean that the movie will be coming to IMAX??? If so, that would be REALLY REALLY AWESOME!!!
OK. I'm gonna go check out the Maxim article now!!!
F*CK YES!!! GO TEAM COHEN!!!

By sean on May 26, 2008 5:55 PMHi mummy followers!!
i am very anxious about this movie and the other day i saw the yeti when i hit pause and man it is like the best thing in my life i am very happy that rob includes this culture t the movie and i look forward to this epic film
The YETI RULES!!! period
By Dan on May 27, 2008 5:30 PMThis is the one movie I'm anticipating to see the most this late summer 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
By sean on May 27, 2008 10:47 PMgotta say, it looks about as good as mummy 2 was, which is to say i fear the final product. i refuse to say something is bad before i see it, but after the last few films cohen has put out and the last mummy movie im surprised this got green lit. however, the trailer looks fun, then again so did the ghost rider trailer. gl with your edits, perhaps you can get fraiser to act better after he got that huge pay check for this film.
By D on May 28, 2008 12:37 AMCan't find the actually autograph addresses from the actors. Could you help? Thanks!
soon is mummy-time *yeah*
By Nicole on May 28, 2008 1:46 AMWell D there are millions of people worldwide who disagree with you on all counts. Incidentally it is Fraser not Frasier and when did you become a classically trained actor like Brendan is?
By maz on May 28, 2008 2:24 AMYou'll be saying Sir Ian Mckellan is a crap actor next who, incidentally, was heard to say that Brendan acted him off the set. I think I'll go with his opinion since he knows what he is talking about.
by the way...
By Nicole on May 28, 2008 2:48 AMBrendan is great all the time und mummy3 would be great too!
no problems ;-)
alright Rob.
I went to watch Indy last ight, and saw the Mummy 3 trailer infront of it....I have to say , that I was impressed, it looks as if it has everything fans could ask for in these movies. Cant wait for the big release day in the uk!
By Gordon on May 28, 2008 3:42 AMHello Rob
Excellent work so far, impatiently awaiting the release..
By chris on May 28, 2008 3:47 AMWas curious as to the score of the film, will there be a CD score released to the public and if so, who will be composing..
Maz, I totally agree with you. Brendan -which last name is incidentally Fraser LOL - is a great actor. And we can add to the opinion of Sir Ian McKellen, the opinion of Sir Michael Caine, who of course co-starred with Brendan in The Quiet American and really praised Brendan´s acting skills...So, maybe their opinions are a little bit more "qualified" than yours, D-guy???
HELLL YEEEAAAHHHH!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!

Anyone know anything yet about the soundtrack from this movie???, When is it going to come out???, What is it's release date???.
By sean on May 28, 2008 12:09 PMNotice how my comment was mainly about Cohen's last films and Fraser's work on the mummy returns, read it again for context unless you'd rather jump to the defense of someone who clearly does well for themselves and doesn't need you defending them.
But, in response to your comments about his overall acting ability i think he can act if the right director is telling him what to do. however, if you look at the films in his past such as looney toons back in action, the mummy returns, bedazzled, dudley do right, george of the jungle, blast from the past, air heads, encino man...well, i know its just my opinion and im sure that many will disagree, but those films don't speak very highly of his ability to act. granted they are comedies, but he really doesn't try to stray too far from that mold unless hes doing a film that doesn't get wide spread release which are few and far between. and while,i'm sure many will disagree with me as you all have pointed out, go check out rotten tomatoes for his overall percentage and see that, well, it looks like most people agree with me. And even if you say, well, he was awesome in that film even if the film sucked and thats why it has a low %, that doesn't speak highly of his ability to pick a good script or stay with a good director either. which i'm afraid also factors into the whole "acting" thing as any "qualified" person will tell you.
By the way, i find it pretty funny that at least 2 of you came to the defense of Fraser based on an off hand comment about his acting in the mummy returns, but no one cared about me bashing Cohen. i guess we all know that the fans will see this because of Fraser or the franchise (which went stale after the first mummy) even if they know the director hasn't made a decent movie since dragon: the Bruce Lee story.
HELL YEAAAAHHHH!!! GO TEAM COMMON SENSE!!!!
By D on May 29, 2008 12:01 AMon a side note, Ian Mckellan and Michael Caine, both fantastic actors, are still people. So for as long as they are they are not better than you or i and still make the same mistakes in judgment that us mere mortals make every day. Also, its their opinion, try using your own, or at least defend him with your own words and not someone else's validation.
By D on May 29, 2008 12:06 AMand i know that by using rottentomatoes i am also using someone else validation to prove my point, however i used after my initial opinion was given in my own words...plus i needed it to back me up dammit
By D on May 29, 2008 12:15 AMNo-one needs to come to Rob's defense because it isn't needed.
By maz on May 29, 2008 2:24 AMIncidentally it is my opinion that Brendan has sensitivety as an actor and can take on any part he chooses. I take it you've seen "School Ties" and "The Quiet American". Several of the people who post on this site are his fans. We are all intelligent and we do not like him solely because of his looks but because of the sensitivety he shows in the roles he plays and the diverse roles he takes on. If the man chooses to make films to entertain children now and again more power to his elbow. He is capable of doing more serious roles when the mood takes him. Personally, I occasionily like to just be entertained and have a good laugh. Brendan isn't the type of hero some people expect, but I can assure you , he appeals widely to women and children. Have you ever wondered why he is so popular and why the Mummy films took so much at the box office? One of the reasons is because Rick O'Connell wasn't just the usual, boring hero. There was some sensitivety in the man. Quite apart from the talent of the other actors and actresses in the film that is. It also had wide entertainment value (millions saw both films and enjoyed them). Like I've said before, you can't please everyone so there will be people who don't like the Mummy films and don't particularly like Brendan.........but to slate his abilities as an actor, when the industry respects him for his abilities, seems somewhat churlish. When Lynn Redgrave worked with him she said that he was not like the usual American actors, who were encouraged to present one persona, that he was a real actor and other actors liked working with him. I don't think he deserves the abuse he gets from certain quarters and I think we should all be aware that actors and directors work very hard (sometimes enduring months of difficult living conditions and getting up in the middle of the night to get the right shots) to bring something to the cinemas, which they hope will entertain us. Perhaps we should all remember that before we criticise a film. Incidentally, I am off the opinion that we should all see the film before we make any decision as to its worth.
Have I made the point adequately that this is MY opinion and I don't really need to back it up with anyone else's, except to make my point stronger? We all have brains here you know. We're not sheep. We have our own, very strong, opinions.
OK Here we go again
By David C on May 29, 2008 5:09 AMHello Faithful Mummettes,
To begin, Maz on the last board you wrote about Rachel Weize then apologised to me just incase you offended me thank you for taking me into consideration like that huni, but you guys really wern't saying anything that bad about RW, I don't want to come accross all offensive everytime anyone mentions her its just that I really liked her in the first two and even though shes not going to be in this one, (and I would be lieing if I said I wasn't disappointed bout this) but I am still thankful for her past performances, so for this I have acceapted shes not coming back and I have moved on, but I just don't want everyone turning against her with conspiracies as is usual in the movie industry so thanks Maz huni for understanding but your ok lol.
OK i've lots more to write but lunch id up so I will be back shortly to finish up.
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!!
David C
Peace
Well D...I was reading your post and you were giving me a perfect argument to reject what you were saying...I mean... Rotten Tomatoes ?????? Awww yeah, a very "reliable " source indeed....but then you did realize that thing of " using some else validation to prove my point " and posted again...dammit, you ruined my future post !!! LOL LOL LOL....
OK, this seems one of that typical discussion between people who like and people who don´t like some expression related to the arts...meaning, and endless and almost pointless discussion., cuz you can like an artist ( actor, singer, writer, movie director, whatever ) and you have the right to do it, simply cuz the way he/she expresses the art ,goes straight to your heart...simply because of that ..and NO ONE has the right to tell you that you are wrong or to question your choice...
Why do I think that Fraser is a great actor? Well, exactly for that.He has an irresistible appeal to me ( and I´m not talking "just" about " sex-appeal" which, yes, he has a lot !) When I see him on screen, he has the ability to capture my whole attention, his voice, the way he moves, his gestures and the corporal attitude he " gives" to the so many different characters he chooses to play ( yes, even those that you mentioned and you dislike) ... some are kinda goofies, others are pretty romantic, adventurer, psychotic or even mean and violent...I like him playing them all...He can do it so convincingly. And one more thing ( well, maybe two...) thank you for your " advice"...but I always use my own opinion, BUT is not a bad thing trying to use " validation" if that´s coming from someone who has more experience than you have ( let´s say, talking about the acting skills of a younger actor, if you are a really " established" one like I.McKellen or M.Caine) ...well, IMHO at least.
Regarding Mr.Cohen, I think he is doing a wonderful job...just check this site and the trailer...you don´t like it ? Fine, you ´ve got obviously that right...You are not the only one who disagree with us, anyway...
And this is the end of my rant...
Gotta go...
By Delilah on May 29, 2008 6:59 AMDeeDee.
Hey, David sweetie... I guess it was me, no Maz the one who talked and apologized about Rachel ?? ...Ohh, anyhow, it´s OK, Maz and I ( and I have to say KL too ) think the same about the RW issue, and BTW, of course we always take you in consideration Bro !!
HELLL YEEEAAAHHHH!! GO TEAM COHEN !!
DeeDee
By Delilah on May 29, 2008 7:04 AMHey again everyone,
Hi Delilah huni I don't think I stray to far from you girls on the RW issue I would just like to think she left for proper and good reasons and not the bad ones everyone out there in TROLL world would so greatly like to believe Just remember her for what she was and do what we must which is give Maria a good fighting chance I'm sure shes gonna do great she looks great in the role and I know you girls always take my thoughts and feelings into consideration, I just found it heart warming that when you were all talking over this issue again with as we always have to do with every newbe that you guys were still able to say no offence David lol.
Anyway I see we seem to have a new TROLL this one seems to be abit of a highbreed doesn't it, he likes the smart comments, mate really you are not the first one to come here to Mr Cohens site and verbally bash him (very ignorant by the way) and you won't be the last one so move along little one you have posted...what?...three times? and how many people have you offended or pissed off?
You know for someone with such a problem with Brendens acting skills you do seem to watch alot of his movies, ohh and you seemed to get a right chuckle out of the fact that the girls seemed to only defend Brenden and not Rob Cohen well...mucker give it a few days the whole gang hasn't been back since you posted that, trust me Robs defence will come soon enough, but as Maz said he doesn't need it...BUT....it will come, Enough said now shoo little TROLL go back into your hole.
Ok my rant over for today I'll be back soon.
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!!

By Delilah on May 29, 2008 9:34 AMHiya David,
By maz on May 29, 2008 9:51 AMYes I think we all know that you like Rachael. I liked her in the part too. I'd like to think that her reasons for not being in this movie were solid and valid reasons. We have Maria in the part now and I'm sure we will warm to her as Evie. At least we should give her a chance.
I loved your point that D had seen an awful lot of Brendan's films for someone who didn't rate him as an actor. That was a little puzzling.
DeeDee nice to see you back. You illustrated my point that Brendan appeals widely to women (and children) and explained the reasons why. I couldn't have put it better myself.
David said it all when he said that it is ill mannered to come on to a director's blog and proceed to slate that director. I agree emphatically. Good manners don't cost anything.
I can recognise that D has a more intelligent argument to put than previous trolls we've had here but he or she is using that intelligence to purposely try to annoy or upset the others on this site. That isn't very productive. That is what makes him/her a troll.
I think I love you two girls lol You read my mind everytime just shows we mummettes are all on the same wavelength, I couldn't have said it better myself Maz that is exactly what makes them a TROLL and Delilah huni I loved your little spin on my quote of the day thingie, I'm glad you are enjoying it just let me know when it starts to get annoying and i'll stop lol.
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!
TIL THE END OF ALL TROLLS (and especially the highbreed intelligent ones with nothing better to do) lol
p.s. but in a PEACEful way
p.s.s. if that's possible
GO COHEN WARRIERS GO!!!!

Notice i didn't say that i didn't like Fraser, i just said that the man picks films that doesn't show off his acting ability for whatever reason. Maybe he likes to stick to that mold, maybe he thinks they'll be fun, maybe he prefers goofy films to more serious ones but takes the more serious ones when the mood strikes. I'm not him so i cant comprehend his decisions. I just feel that he phones it in most of the time. Just because you're in a kids film or a comedy doesn't mean you need to be any less brilliant in your performance. Ive seen most of his films because i see a lot of films, and after the first mummy i liked him. But going back and watching them it felt that he stuck to the same mold and I feel that can lead to laziness as an artist which i also feel shows in some of his work.
I didn't know that stating an opinion in an open forum meant i was trolling or bashing, hell, maybe i went to the forum to find out why people still go see Cohen movies. Maybe i went here to find out why people dig Fraser, who knows. Maybe i came here for discussion with people like Maz. Maybe you shouldn't write someones post off as trolling just because you don't agree with what they have to say.
I'm not expecting to change anyones opinion when i come here, i don't expect to get everyone to say, "wow i wont go see Cohen movies anymore" or, "you know Brendan can act when he wants to but you're right, for the most part he picks silly rolls because he thinks they'll be fun".
Maybe i came for good conversation with the most die hard of fans because you don't get that anywhere else.
On a side note, I love Rachael, i think she is a wonderful actress, but I'm happy to see her move on from the part. Either it was Sommer's directing or her general attitude but it felt like she dint really care about the last film and it showed in her performance. Especially starting in the airship scene and on.
By D on May 29, 2008 10:44 AMP.S.S.S. Where the hell is Clouded Reality, Ryan, Steven, KL and even Indy V Rick? I know Comen is on holiday and finishing her thesis (good luck again huni) and stuff but where are all the other warriors I can't even plan a rescue mission for them because there are too many of us missing to go on an expedition plus the dirigible hasn't been seen since we went looking for suzie, come to think of it neither has she (now that was a really successful mission wasn't it lol), So what we gonna do?
Maz, Delilah do you girls think we could form a mission it would mean you having to come off your sentry post Mazzie and us all dawning one of our lovely rescue mission suits.
Maybe you could round up some of them TROLL carcasses lying about and make a raft of some sort to replace the dirigible til its homing device brings it back to one of us.
Well Girls what you think?
I will reward you with a Brenden induced Estrogen party lol and I won't complain bout the over load lol......
.......Promise lol
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!!
By David C on May 29, 2008 10:52 AMDavid C
Ok D maybe I jumped the gun alittle we are the die hard fans of the movie and we are very understanding and the people on here are very fun to talk to, but you sounded like you were bashing the movie and the director, plus the girls like Delilah and Maz who if you haven't noticed are very big Brenden Fraser fans, saying to them his movies are no good is going to offend them.
We are more than happy to discuss the movie and any concerns or thought you have about it we will listen to your opinion but we have had alot and i do mean alot of mean TROLLS on here who don't even have reason they just write profanities then disappear, so we are on the defensive.
Truthfully you don't seem like them you semm more intelligent and a true movie buff yourself, so just put what you would like to say it a less controversial way and we will all have a....nice....little....heated discussion on here bout the topic lol.
And I'm not just saying this because you said you like Rachel lol the people on here are nice, understanding, true fans of the movie and the actors so play nice and we will back mate.

By David C on May 29, 2008 11:13 AMDavid C
When is the soundtrack from this mummy 3 movie coming out in stores that sell movie soundtracks??????????. Someone please reply who knows the answer!!!!!!!!!!.................
By sean on May 29, 2008 11:24 AMMost film soundtracks have a tendency to come out a week to two weeks before the films release. I'd assume you'll see something the end of July and most likely news about it the end of June.
By D on May 29, 2008 11:55 AMD, wait till you see The Air I Breathe !!!! Brendan plays a completely different character from the ones you've seen him play. He's very surly, never smiles and hardly speaks.
By maz on May 29, 2008 11:58 AMHad it occured to you that Brendan does the lighter roles, which net him more money, so that he can take on diverse roles when he wants to. He does have a family to support you know. If you had a family to support would you take lower paid jobs to satisfy your artistic needs all the time? Anyway, if he enjoys doing the comedy, why not?
I don't agree with you that there is any laziness in his work. You could say that about actors, who always portray the same character. Have you seen Gods And Monsters? That was a more serious role.
The diehard fans here see the Mummy films as fun and good entertainment. If you are looking for something a little deeper than that then, obviously, it's not for you.
Rob Cohen has been very open and honest with us and we have grown to respect him for the spiritual man he obviously is.
He believes in what he is doing and has put a lot of effort in to this film. When someone comes to this site and suggests that he is anything but a great director we become defensive. We don't believe that he deserves the criticism some people (including you) have aimed at him. His aim is to make a fun, adventurous, swashbuckling film, which will entertain the audience.
I can't agree with what you said about Rachel's performance in The Mummy Returns. I thought she was really rather good. She certainly had me believing that Evie had a close attachment to Rick. To top that she had more fight in her than in the first film. I expect you will agree to differ on that.
She has gone on to different roles now so perhaps she felt that she couldn't bring any more to the role of Evie.
All of the regular posters on this site are caring and intelligent people. We all come from different backgrounds and we like a healthy discussion but will not tolerate abuse aimed at Rob or Brendan. We don't see that as productive. Any constructive criticism is OK but, as David said, we have had some very abusive people invade this site and we want to keep it the happy place it has always been. If we have misinterpreted your intentions I will be the first to apologise.
I remember when i was much younger being truly excited when i saw the trailer for dragonheart. I remember when i went and saw it most of the people in the theater were upset, but i loved it. Maybe it was childhood innocence, maybe it was naievity, maybe my tastes have changed, who knows. But now when i see a Rob Cohen film i see a man film that might mean well, but lifts its shots, ideas, sfx and most else from other films. Maybe dragonheart and Dragon were the same, id have to go back and see them again. But as i am now i see Cohen as a director who wants to make fun films, but doesn't try to elevate his craft to something better. Take iron man for instance. The film was incredibly cliche but in spite of that still managed to feel like its own film and was fun because of it. None of cohens recent films felt like they had a spark of originality in them.
To be honest, i guess im most upset because i loved the first mummy. I thought it was dumb summer fun that could be a classic because it felt like its own film. After the mummy returns i felt like the franchise took a spin towards the unoriginal and now seeing that the man who directed XXX, the Fast and the Furious and Stealth has taken over it feels like the franchise can never hit that sweet spot like the first one did.
Granted, i could be wrong, this one could blow away all expectations or exceed expectations (depending on where you stand) and reinvigorate this franchise and our imaginations. but after seeing Cohens recent work its hard to believe that it will. Doesn't mean i hope any less that it will be good, just means i don't want to get burned again...look at scorpion king...
Also, someone can work their ass off to create what they feel is important and meaningful but come out with something that is silly and worthless even if they mean well, just look at Van Hellsing. True its meaningful to them, but if they cant touch anyone else then why is it a movie?
By D on May 29, 2008 12:16 PMWell D., you are certainly entitled to your opinions about Brendan, and you are more civil than many people about them. At first I thought you sounded almost identical to the scores of bandwagon-jumping, critic-wannabes out there in cyberspace thinking it’s cool to bash Brendan Fraser. But it seems you’re not really one of those after all, and since you seem to appreciate him in some capacity, maybe you will consider some of my points in response to your comments.
First, if you look over Brendan’s repertoire, his dramatic roles are hardly “few and far between”—in fact, just about half of his performances are serious ones. Yes, approximately 50% of them, all the way back to his beginning with School Ties. Since then, he’s been giving sensitive and riveting performances in Twilight of the Golds, The Passion of Darkly Noon, With Honors, Fallen Angels--The Professional Man, Gods and Monsters, The Quiet American, Journey to the End of the Night, The Air I Breathe, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (on the London stage), and Still Breathing. True, most of these haven’t gotten widespread release—yet to me, that is completely irrelevant. The fact is, they exist, and Brendan excelled in them. The only unfortunate side is that many people are unaware of them, and that leads to a lot of misconceptions about this actor, first and foremost that he is not versatile. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Brendan's roles have run the gamut from student to jungle man, from sensitive gay artist to brutal hit man, from mentally disturbed cult member to romantic dreamer, from wacky stapstick to the most subtle and serious. Most importantly, he PLAYS his characters differently from each other, engulfs himself in his roles as if they were a second skin, completely becoming the character, through demeanor, facial expressions, body movements. He can switch from one role to the next and seem to be a completely different individual. He’s a total chameleon. Try watching The Passion of Darkly Noon, Twilight of the Golds, Mrs. Winterbourne, George of the Jungle, and The Air I Breathe back-to-back. Then tell me he’s not one of the most versatile actors to grace this planet.
The comedic roles are merely another outlet for his diverse talents. People often equate “real acting” with choosing only serious roles of great importance—but good acting is good acting, whatever the genre. As you rightfully stated, “Just because you’re in a kid’s film or a comedy doesn’t mean you need to be any less brilliant in your performance.” If an actor does a well-crafted comedic performance, and fully creates and embodies a character that engages the audience, then it deserves respect and does show acting ability. That’s exactly what Brendan does, complete with dramatic moments infused in them.
I strongly disagree with you that Brendan “phones in” his comic performances and is lazy about them. Instead of rehashing the same comedic persona over and over, as SO MANY comedic “actors” do, he again makes each character very individual—perhaps at times a goofy individual, but definitely an individual. (If you think every comedic character of his is the same—perhaps you should look more carefully, because they definitely are not.) Plus, it shows he has a sense of humor and lack of ego—and yes, that he likes to have fun. In such roles, he gives the audience have a much-needed, stress-reducing smile or laugh. I don’t think there is anything wrong with any of that.
When I watch a Brendan performance in any genre, I am absorbed by the character completely, and the craftsmanship he puts into the role is very much evident to me. His whole demeanor reflects the character, and so often, he doesn't even need to say a word to convey all his character's thoughts and emotions. That, to me, is a true actor.
Specifically about his action/adventure roles, which require liberal doses of physical movement and overly dramatic screaming, etc. etc., which some construe as laziness--those are exactly what the roles call for. Brendan is flexible and professional enough to do exactly what each job demands. And these roles are way more demanding to carry out than I believe many people comprehend--they are certainly not a walk in the park.
Moreover, as Maz said, and as Brendan himself has stated numerous times, the big blockbusters such as the Mummy films enable him to do less flashy independent films, which pay little. The “starving artist” image is a romantic and noble one, but it doesn’t apply in real life, especially when you have a family to raise.
You suggested that McKellen was making a mistake when he praised Brendan. This means that he mistakenly praised him on several occasions, and in the most highly flattering terms. This quote comes from just one of these occasions.
"I couldn't have known until it actually happened the amount of detail and subtlety and sensitivity of his acting in front of the camera. In fact, I wasn't even aware of it totally while it was happening, it was only when I saw his face on the big screen that I realized what I've long aspired to, which is to live on the screen through my thoughts, sometimes spoken but often not. Brendan ‘ain’t just a pretty face,’ there's a lot going on behind it.
"I see the film [Gods and Monsters] and think, ‘Will I ever be able to act like that?’ It isn't a question of his acting being better than mine, it's just a bit more appropriate than mine, perhaps more effortless than mine, so I am a huge admirer of his. That he can be so subtle and yet so broad."
"To live on the screen through my thoughts, sometimes spoken but often not"--that is exactly what Brendan does, and what I think makes him a captivating and exceptional actor.
Whether it's Sir Ian, or Sir Michael Caine, Lynn Redgrave, or Ned Beatty, I believe their praise is sincere and no fluke.
Anyway, I'm finally done now... ;)

By KL on May 29, 2008 1:21 PMHello all,
I just wanted to say is that reading your comments and opinions it sounds like we all are like family. We have our disagreements and then we explain them, we support each other and I feel special to have seen this because some people they hear about movies that are coming out that they like and then forget about it until the trailer shows up or it comes out in theaters but everyone who has commented has gone so much farther than that and has shown me what a true fan is. I'm not here to judge anyone and I respect all of your opinions and I just love being apart of this. I have never seen anything like this in my life and I hope to see people coming together like this more often to show their support. You ALL are fans no matter how often you comment or how much you write or how strong your opinions. I just wanted everyone to know that.
Much Love My Mummy Family,

Thats the kind of response a devils advocate loves to hear. Thank you very much KL
By D on May 29, 2008 1:37 PMWell, what can I say... MY SISTER KL IS BACK, EVERYBODY !!!!
Awww, you are nothing but BRILLIANT, honey. I really really wish I could write like you do girl !!! clap, clap, clap !!!
And you Kate, thanks for your concepts ! You are really nice, and really got us...You certainly understand our feelings... I mean, we really feel like we are a " Family" and we truly have built this wonderful kind of friendship ( the miraculous www allowed that !! ) that is not going to disappear when this movie comes out...
And speaking of friendship and family...wooowwww....our beloved brother David is getting a little delusional, uh ?? I LOVE THAT DAVID !!! So, wait for Lt.-Double D´s reply on our cozy " Mummy Bloggers" place...and please don´t forget about that " Brendan Induced Estrogen Party " you´ve promised, darling...and you´d better don´t complain about the overload...cuz that´s exactly what you are gonna have !! LOL LOL LOL
HELLLLLLLLLLL YEEEAAAHHHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!

By Delilah on May 29, 2008 2:03 PMWell D., I'm not sure if you mean that in a friendly way or insulting--but thank you!! ;)

By D on May 29, 2008 2:16 PMKate, Your perception of us is also our perception. For once it is so nice to have someone appreciate what this site has become. We all feel a great affinity with each other and the cast and crew on this film. It's been a very interesting journey for all of us. If it has given you pleasure to read what we have written that makes it all worthwhile.
By Maz on May 29, 2008 2:21 PMThere is a lot of nastiness and aggression in the world so we don't want to see that here. We are like a little family and we hope we present a positive image to anyone who looks at the site. It's appreciated that you made the effort to let us know your opinion.
KL, How I wish that I was as well informed and eloquent as you are. I always enjoy reading your posts.
David, hold the delusions. It doesn't look like we need to go on the rampage tonight.
i dont think you need to question my intent at this point, think ive made it pretty clear that im hear to discuss opinions and not hate people or rile them up. but people are far too defensive when it comes to message boards.
By D on May 29, 2008 2:22 PMD., sorry if I sounded defensive. I apparently misunderstood your comment about "devil's advocate" thinking maybe you didn't like my response and were being sarcastic or something. Sometimes it's hard to "read" someone's tone over the Internet. Good talking with you, I hope you eventually enjoy the movie, despite your misgivings.
By KL on May 29, 2008 2:42 PMThat's possibly because we have encountered some very rude and abusive people, who have put their opinions forward with sarcasm and downright nastiness. Any true fan would defend against that sort of onslaught. My complaint is that so often opinions are offered, without the writer being very well informed. I'm not saying that I am particularly well informed but I hope that I don't open my mouth before my brain is in gear.
By maz on May 29, 2008 2:49 PMIncidentally, this isn't a message board but it is Rob Cohen's blog.
If we take you to task on your opinions on Rob it's because, while we respect your right to your opinions, it is churlish to air them here. As I've said before, not everyone likes the same films. A lot of people like Rob's films. If you don't it is your opinion but this is his blog so a little respect wouldn't go amiss.
Awww thank you so much, DeeDee and Maz, you are both too kind!! I really love to read both of your posts too, you are always so articulate and passionate.
Kate, thank you for your kind remarks, it's a pleasure to have you with us!! This is indeed a very special place and I'm so glad you've joined us. Looking forward to many future chats with all of you lovely Mummettes!!
BTW, hi there David sweetie, as you can see, here I am!! ;)I've had a ton of work to do, which is why I'm always "coming and going." But it's a pleasure to be with you all today!!
And Rob, if you're reading this...I wish you and the cast and crew all the best in London. Hopefully you'll get to visit some of Brendan's old "stomping grounds" while you're there.
Have a great day everyone!!
HELL YEAH, GO TEAM COHEN!!!

By KL on May 29, 2008 2:57 PMMaz and Delilah,
Thanks for your feedback and your welcome. I just love how all these people from different countries have come together for a common cause... our LOVE for the Mummy movies and their actors and actresses.
Its just so refreshing to see these comments and to see how much people really do care and go so far and beyond any ordinary fan but to express just how much we appreciate these movies and our opinions on them and their actors and actresses.
You just don't see that kind of support a lot and I'm soo glad that I've found it in all of you and I hope we keep it up!!
Much Love My Mummy Family,
Kate
P.S. GOOO TEAM COHEN!!!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited for this movie I can't stand it!!!
By Kate on May 29, 2008 3:05 PMKL,
By Kate on May 29, 2008 3:07 PMyour welcome too and I love reading your posts. You have such a strong opinion and I admire how you are able to articulate it so well.
I totally can't wait to see this movie in the theaters!, when it's released on august 1st, 2008 friday!. Does anyone know if the soundtrack for the mummy 3 is coming out a week before the theatrical release of this movie?, or two weeks before?, just curious?!?!?.
By sean on May 29, 2008 3:21 PMSorry Sean we don't know yet. I'm sure Rob will enlighten us nearer the time.
By maz on May 29, 2008 4:02 PMAwww thanks Kate, you are so sweet to say that. I already love reading your posts too. Hope you keep posting here for a long time!!
By KL on May 29, 2008 6:46 PMBTW Maz, I totally agree with your comments about Rob, too...he absolutely deserves greater respect on his own blog than he's been given.
By KL on May 29, 2008 6:54 PMKL,
No problem, and I intend to keep posting because I love how were are all connected by Mr. Cohen's blog. I think this blog is a really good thing because he can get feedback for current and future films. He can read what we have to say and choose to use it or not. (it also helps to know that your movie has a HUGE fanbase!)
Much Love My Mummy Family,
By Kate on May 29, 2008 7:04 PMKate
O!, o.k.!, thanks maz!. I guess we'll know soon enough about the release date for the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor original score movie soundtrack!!!!!!!!!!. Right???.
By sean on May 29, 2008 7:32 PMSean, Rob is in London now at Abbey Road Studios where the score is being worked on. I can't tell you when it will be ready for release. Rob usually keeps us informed about these things so I'm sure when he knows he will let us know.
By maz on May 30, 2008 1:47 AMThis isn't to start a fight or a riot, i just don't know another way to put it, just think of it as a counter point. This is the mans blog, but if he didn't want positive or negative feedback he'd keep a journal instead of an open blog. Or at least refuse comments on it.
Also, i'm sure the people who post negative feed back on some level probably want rob to listen to them even if their way of going about it isn't the best way to get heard. Then again, i'm sure a lot of them just want to troll. What better way to talk to the person you admire or despise then by going to a place they will frequently visit.
By D on May 30, 2008 3:08 AMWhere is the second teaser? I can't find it anywhere.
By Hollow on May 30, 2008 7:34 AMMaz!, thank you for letting me know about that!, but!, just so you know!, if i hadn't asked about that!, i know i wouldn't have gotten answer from anyone!, so the only way to find out was to ask!, and so i did! =). Yeah!, D!, i totally agree with you!, but who is it your saying that is starting a riot???, i don't see anyone starting a riot here!!!!!!!!!!. And as for hollow!, who left the most recent comment before mine!, if you search for it on the internet by going to the movie website called iesb.net!, you will probably find it there!!!!!!!!!!=). I guess that when it comes to the time for the soundtrack to be released!, i'll all know!, by searching for it on the internet!, if i just so happen to do so at the right time!!!, right???.
By sean on May 30, 2008 9:19 AMMaz!, another website I forgot to mention earlier for you to find the second teaser trailer is a website called traileraddict.com, you'll find it there for sure!, because I saw both of them there too!.
By sean on May 30, 2008 11:18 AMI saw the second trailer and it seems really similar to the first teaser. Did anyone else notice it?
GOOO TEAM COHEN!!!!!!!!
By Kate on May 30, 2008 1:32 PMThanks Sean. I haven't been to that site for a while. I'll go and have a look.
By maz on May 30, 2008 3:04 PMKate, yeah!, i saw the two teaser trailers too!, and like them both!, they are the domestic and international teaser trailers for this movie!. The movie looks awsome and I totally can't wait to finally see it this august 1st!!!, which today it is in 63 days!!!. O!, and for anyone out there who has a blu ray disc player!, the the mummy 1 and the mummy 2 ! are coming out on blu ray disc on july 22nd, 2008 tuesday!, in 53 days!. The next movie trailer for the mummy 3 !, is coming out on june 27th, 2008 friday!, in 28 days!, at midnight on the night of the 27th! =).
By sean on May 30, 2008 5:14 PMOK, so it wasn't just me! yeah I don't think anyone can wait much longer for this movie. I am uber excited for this movie!!!June 27th can't get here any faster, or August 1st, for that matter. I already have the Mummy 1& 2 on DVD so I think I'll be having a Mummy maroathon some time soon!
Much Love My Mummy Family,
Kate
GOOO TEAM COHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Kate on May 30, 2008 6:51 PMYeah!, the next movie trailer will out on the internet on june 27th, 2008 friday at midnight on the night of that date!, like I was saying before!!!. I'll be buying the blu ray discs of the mummy and the mummy returns on july 22ndth, 2008 tuesady!, their blu ray disc release date!!!. I'm already guestimating that the blu ray disc and dvd of the mummy tomb of the dragon emper will be out in store that sell dvds and blu ray disc movies by january, february or march of 2009, on on one of the tuesdays!, during one of those three months next year!!! =).....
By sean on May 30, 2008 7:45 PMJAAAAAAAAAA!!! I'm back!
It was sooooo great being able to breathe again at the seashore and even being able to walk barefoot trough the sand and the waves...
I just love the sea!
And despite that I also saw some terracotta warriors (the real "copies" in fact, produced in the prefecture of the crave and send around the world for open display). It was quite awesome as they had a lot of facts about the first Emperor, he seemed to have been a real "nut case" (very good mummy stuff, very good indeed!). He actually send an expedition to find the source of eternal life three times! They didn't find it (as one can guess).
The display area were two big storehouse and one was completely packed with the soldiers as they were located in the grave. It was very impressing and awesome! The interesting parts: they are put together from basic parts and then modelled individually; originally they were painted (very flashy and expenisve colours, too, like red, green and purple) ; the average height of a soldier (standing) is 1,93 m (which is in fact quite colossal, as Chinese in that period surely were normally not beyond 1,65 m [most Eurpeans weren't either at that time...])
Summa sumarium, this stuff is a perfectly great base for a movie!! ^-^ As we all know already, though.
I also "persuaded" (forced is more the term) my dad to watch the fourth Indy installement in the little island cinema they have there. (And as I thought he liked the movie very much. No wonder, I got him all three Indy movies on DVD and he watches them a lot, so, why wouldn't he like the fourth?) I liked the fourth Indy, too, don't get why many critics were that harsh?? Some things might be exaggerated, but hey, it's an Indy movie...
But I have to confess: The most thrilling thing about seeing that movie was the trailer on BIG SCREEN!!! LOL
And they actually had a teaser poster in the cinemas little foyer! I so absolutely wanted to steal it....hahaha
(Unfortunately, one has to say, the dubbing was badly done. The first part Alex says is dubbed by Frasers dubbing voice..., but maybe that's due to the fact, that they had so little time dubbing it at all?? And the fact, that I watched it so often in english, I guess.)
Yesterday it was quite adventurous for me to come home, because my train stopped like 30 minutes before I reached my destination on open field. The power was completely gone due to a lightning storm. We stood there like one hour, then drove to the next station, were the train ended that day! The evacuation was like apocalypse itself, as the lightnings struck around us and the tunnels under the train rails were under water, everyone was jumping on the rails and crossing two or three of them by foot.
I tell you, it was a scene from a bad catastrophe movie itself. My rucksack and my notebook were quite heavy and I'm really happy I did make it somehow. (The rails in Germany at the station are very deep and I'm very little, so I literally had to jump. Getting back on the platform wasn't easy with all that package.) Then I stood like two hours in a cramped little train station and nothing happened! I met some people and we chatted with all the sarcasm we had left. We couldn't even take a taxi to the next bigger city (which happend to be my destiantion anyway) as the most roads were closed down for traffic by trees, that fell down, really high quanities of water or mud.
It wasn't even sure I would see my bed that night! Eventually at around 23 o'clock the road condition improved (every single fire fighter was at service last night) I took a taxi with 7 other people and managed to reach Marburg at around midnight. Then I offered a sleeping place to a total stranded person, who would have had to wait till 4.00 o' clock at the station for the first train in the morning.
You see, I had quite the adventurous evening. My estimated time for destination was 20.33 h by the way. Not midnight!
I'm happy to be back here anyway, already read all your comments, say hello to the new people swarming about Rob's site and of course to you all!!
By Comen on May 31, 2008 12:09 AM*HUGS to everyone!!*

Hey Comen sis,
By David C on May 31, 2008 6:50 AMIt's great to have you back we really did miss you (Well I know I did for sure anyway) You did seem to have a little adventure to yourself last night, I'm glad it all worked out for you in the end, It was really nice of you to offer that person a place to stay.
How the thesis coming huni you nearly done yet?
Talk to you later
Hi to the rest of the mummy family out there today.
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!!!
David C
Hi Comen, Sounds like you had some English weather there. We had flooding in Somerset on Friday. It didn't effect my village but a lot of people had flooding in their houses and their cars floating around in their parking places. A music festival had to be cancelled as it was a sea of deep mud. At least you got home in one piece, if a bit later than expected.
By maz on May 31, 2008 10:22 AMHi David and hi to all the other members of our Mummy family, which appears to have grown.
It's getting very exciting now. The release of the film is imminent and this journey we've been on will be coming to an end. We have all enjoyed ourselves on this blog (as can be seen in the content of the old threads). We've made friends and got to see what has been going on during filming (in the little webisodes). None of us have felt so close to a film as we do to this one. I just know it will be a fun, exciting film.
Keep supporting Team Cohen.
Team Cohen rocks!!!!!!!!!!

By sean on May 31, 2008 7:07 PMWoowww...calm down Sean...I think you didn´t get my drift. Maybe, because english is not my first lenguage, I wasn´t clear.Of course I was JUST KIDDING that´s a common mood we use to have when we are posting here...happily joking !! Didn´t you read all our posts in the previous threads? Didn´t you notice that all the Mummy Family uses to get " delusional" as we like to say? Read again my post please...( my previous post, and the many we all were posting since the beginning of this Blog) Can you see that I wrote " ... the primitive crew, we all are definitely into Mummydragon mania" ??? ...Sorry pal, I thought that, if you were posting here, you might have a little more of sense of humor, or at least you would realize that I was making a joke about the " obsession" that ALL OF WE share about this movie. Of course I have that " obsessive-compulsive disorder " myself ! And of course is not a real medical diagnosis...I WAS JUST KIDDING...so forgive me if you felt insulted...and be my guest, you can post here as often as you want. No, I have no problem, I can easily start getting using to it. I promise I´m gonna leave aside my usually mischievous style if by chance I would have to talk to you another time.
Gosh....

Hello Rob
I'm new to this website. I just found out today about the movie and I'm in Australia so everything was so slow. I didn't see your trailer until I found it in Thai wensite. Because I'm thai so I read news from time to time. I have a question for you. Just out of curiousity Can you tell me why Rachel didn't come back for Evy? Thank you
p.s. congratulation for your new baby
bye for now

By Pree on May 31, 2008 9:53 PMHey Sean. You should have noticed by now that Delilah and the rest of us here have a very keen sense of humour and we wouldn't dream of accusing anyone of really having something wrong with them. I hope you learn to trust us and not take offence again. We are a happy, friendly bunch on here and we wouldn't dream of insulting anyone for being as excited about this movie as we are. Hopefully you'll learn to like our sense of humour.
By maz on June 1, 2008 3:04 AMI'm happy to admit to suffering from Fraseritis (an obsessive liking of a very handsome actor) and obsessive compulsive Mummy disorder (but I'm only kidding here..They're not real illnesses and, if they are, I like being ill).
Hi to all the rest of the Mummy family out there. Is there anyone else with Fraseritis, who hasn't made themselves known to us yet?
Boah....I feel so....very strange....
I think it's another boost of Mummydragon mania....
I'm soooo totally into that Disorder, DeeDee!! And don't mention Fraseritis, it's absolutely killing me!! LOL
By the way, I watched Still Breathing and it's such a romantic movie! Thanks for your advice maz. (But, mind you, the Fraseritis is not going to get better with that!)
Hey, David thanks for asking about my thesis, the last two months have just begun, and I totally need to get up and do MORE everyday...Sadly, I'm nowhere near "nearly done"! Anyway, I'll stay optimistic and keep on working. That's all I can do anyway...^-^
Hi Sean, even if you don't have Mummydragon mania, you still have another disorder: the ominent "Question and Exclemetaion Mark Disorder". I sometimes tend to that myself, but sadly, my dear, your disorder won't be likely to be curable I fear.
And for Mummydragon Mania: You only want to talk about the one and only movie, and sadly that's a very bad sign, too. Even if you keep asking all kind of questions: The movie will be out in August and not earlier, even if you wish so! Maybe you should consult your local Mummydragon Mania specialist. Oh, and get some pills to rise your humor pleazzzze, we all just want to have FUN!
Hugs to everyone!!
By Comen on June 1, 2008 3:41 AMGO MUMMETTES!!
Before misunderstanding comes in our way:
With pills I absolutely don't mean any drugs!!!!! Drugs are bad!!! Never use drugs!!!!!
Chocolate should do the trick.
By Comen on June 1, 2008 3:43 AMHey Comen...Still Breathing got your interest then? I will admit that viewing of said film will make your Fraseritis much worse......but you'll die smiling.
By maz on June 1, 2008 5:22 AMI don't envy you the work you have to do on your thesis but you don't want to rush it at the end so you will have to set yourself a timetable so that you can work on it for a set time each day. At least then you will feel you are on top of it.
Here, look at me giving advice. I've never done a thesis myself but I know it is hard work. If you can get through that you can get through anything.
Your a member of Team Cohen so you can cope with anything, right?
Ohh Hello my Fellow Girls Mummettes...thank you for your support ! ( Big-Mummy-Hug) I also got that support-in my private mail- of another Fraseritis/ MummyDragon-Maniac ( Ms. KL ) who apparently was toooooo upset to post here with her usual nice and polite style LOL LOL ( I love you Katie !! )
Well, what can I say...Commen, take Maz advice girl...Still Breathing is a WONDERFUL movie...but it definitely will take your Fraseritis to the utmost !! But don´t worry, you know " If doesn´t kill you, makes you strong" right ? ... You´ll survive...you will be even more delusional, but you´ll survive LOL LOL
Now, Ladies, it seems that today is a good day to enhance our persistent Fraseritis, cuz...hold your pant( ies) ...thanks to KL, I went to Wireimage and Getty....OOOOMMMMMGGGGGG....there´s a "little" hunk on there...BIG BIG BIG SIGH !!! enjoy him...And don´t forget to take your chocolate pills darling Mummettes...LOL LOL LOL
HELLLL YEEAAAHHHH!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!
( aawww gotta admit it...we are a little insane...but aren´t we still adorable ?? LOL LOL )

By Delilah on June 1, 2008 7:44 AMWhat is the matter with you people!?!?, i don't have any disorder!!!, i know alot of you think i do!!!, but FORTUNATELY I DON'T!!!!!!!!!!=). So for all of you who think that i do, are gonna have to realize that NO!,i don't have any disorder!!!!!!!!!!. If that crap is talked about me in that way on this webpage again!, i'm gonna contact the director myself and ask him to shut this website down!, so I think you all better cut the crap with your rudeness!, and just so you know!, that goes for alot of you who are accusing me of untrue crap like that!, but!, not all of you, meaning the those you who are saying stuff thats so rude!!!!!!!, and no!, i'm not bluffing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
By sean on June 1, 2008 10:44 AMOh man, I'm blinded by exclemation signs. HELP!! I really don't get your kind of humor sean. Are you even trying to be funny??? If not, I have to tell you that the only guy being kind of unfriendly here is you at the moment. But that's only my thinking. I really don't like you, sorry. Being at the internet doesn't mean that one doesn't even have to try to understand and respect other peoples feelings.
By Comen on June 1, 2008 12:05 PMAnd we Mummettes just want to play and have fun here, and we are surely not rude or anything, the only one getting ruder and ruder by the day is YOU my dear. So pleazzze, try to play nicely.
I´m wait this movie.
The trailer, the poster and the plor are great!
Good luck!
By Sergei on June 1, 2008 12:28 PMHey Comen...I´m with you...but I guess that we just have to let him alone...or the poor guy is going to crack down...We are honestly a nice group, and we don´t enjoy making somebody feel like cr*p...
You know, we are coming here from many different Countries and our original languages are different...in a way -in a sort of wonderful and mysterious way- we managed to get along, altogether, understanding each other ( in despite of our different origin-idiosyncrasy, whatever) enjoying like crazy the making of this fantastic movie and the more important thing : HAVING FUN !!
So, I´d suggest not to talk anymore to Sean, and let him expressing his own ideas...Of course it would be almost a " monologue" since the usual poster of this unique Blog use to share the same mood and a pretty similar sense of humor ( a sense of humor that obviously Sean doesn´t get ! )
But of course he has the right to post...probably it could be better not trying to " interact" with him...since he seems to be a pretty " sensitive" guy... ( BTW being sensitive doesn´t mean have any kind of disorder...you can understand that, right Sean ? I´m not insulting you...can you see that ? )
Ohhh JesusChrist...
Anyway Comen... what the hell are you doing here, young Lady...go and take care of your thesis...if you behave like a nice girl, I´ll let you drool over some pics of some devastatingly gorgeous hunk...Oh am I a nice Big Sister or what ?? LOL LOL LOL )
DeeDee...
PS: where the heck is the rest of the crew ? Still in our Private Mental Institution ?? LOL LOL LOL
HELLL YEEAAHH !! GO DELUSIONAL TEAM COHEN !!!!
By Delilah on June 1, 2008 12:39 PMSean, for the last time nobody is accusing you of having any kind of disorder so stop being so sensitive. We are a friendly bunch here and if we want to joke with each other we will ( and none of us minds that). Please chill out and stop being so aggressive. Nobody is trying to insult you or anyone else. Have we made that perfectly clear to you?
By Maz on June 1, 2008 3:07 PMWe reserve the right to joke with each other about our own mental states and, believe me, we are all perfectly sane here. It is just us joking with each other. I take it you do understand the concept of comedy.
Thank you delilah!, I totally appreciate what you've said in your most recent comment post reply!!!. It's basically very noticable now that comen just loves being a mojor freakin' let down to every freakin' one!!!. And also loves being a total you know what to me specifically for who the hell knows what stupid ass reason!!!. Yeah!, hey!, thats right!, it's my time to fire back at you comen!!!, and i'm gonna have to tell you right now!, to back the hell off !!!, get a life and get off this commet post if you don't like what people like personally like to say about the movie!!!. And last but not least!, stop with the stupid inapropiate arguing with people, including arguing with me, because it' not worth it, your not gonna get anywhere if you talk to me the way you just recently did!!!, let alone have respect from me anyway!, if you continue with your crap, sorry!!!.
By sean on June 1, 2008 3:24 PM"!GO TEAM COHEN!" =)
P.S. Now lets get back to narmal here and talk about the movie, i'd seriously appreciate it !!!, THANKS AGAIN!!!, delilah!.
Sincerly!,
Sean.
O!, o.k.!, thanks maz!, i see what your saying and totally agree!. I shall chill !!!, BUT ONLY IF COMEN!, STOPS BEING SO DARN RUDE TO ME!, AND STARTS GETTING USEME BEING ON HERE BECAUSE NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I"M SEROUSLY NOT GONNA STOP AND AGAIN NOOOOOO!, I DON'T ANY G-D DISORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I CHOOSE TO SAY AND WRITE WHAT EVER THE HELL I FEEL LIKE WRITTING ABOUT THIS MOVIE AND OF COURSE I SAY POSITIVE THINGS ABOU IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!=), BECAUSE I HAVE EXTREMELY HIGH HOPES FOR THIS MOVIE!, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, AND DON'T WANT MY IP ADDRESS BLOCK FROM HERE EITHER!, SO THATS WHY I SAY AS MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE MOVIE AS I CAN!, PLUS I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE WHEN IT'S RELEASED TO THEATERS ON AUGUST 1ST, 2008 FRIDAY!, AND I'M TOTALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT TOO!!!!.
By sean on June 1, 2008 3:38 PM~SEAN~
eerrr...Mummettes... time to chat just between us, don´t you think ??
Comen, honey..take a deep breath, be still, breathe, again (uhhmm.. do this reminds you something ??!! BIG SIGH !! ) Maz...excuse me but...did you close the main door of the Mental Institution when we went out??? Ohh darn...please don´t tell me that some of the inpatients of the "Psycopathic-Personality-Disorders Pavilion" ran away...
OMG...HELLL YEEAAHHH!! RUN RUN RUN TEAM COHEN !!!
LOL LOL LOL
DeeDee
PS: did you read the article of Luke Ford that I posted on Facebook?? Doesn´t he sound like Cloudy ?? LOL LOL
By Delilah on June 1, 2008 3:53 PMSean, WTF dude!!? How in the hell did this whole argument thing come about?? I've read and re-read all of the previous posts and everyone seemed to be whole-heartedly joking around with you. Is there some kind language barrier or something that's making you think so negatively?? Take like three chill pills and relax my man. I mean, Can't we all just get along!! LOL. We're all just as excited as you are.
HELL YEA!! GO TEAM COHEN!!
P.S. Oh and Watch what you say about Comen to Sean, I don't like when people talk to my sisters like that. You wouldn't like me when I'm Angry!! LOL. (Disclaimer: This a joke dude. Relax.)
By Clouded_Reality on June 1, 2008 4:31 PMWow! I missed soo much. Sorry DeeDee but I haven't been online recently. :-( I've been going through Mummydragon Mania withdrawel. But I'm soo happy to be back with my Mummy family!!
Everyone needs to calm down! ahem *sean* Just kidding! We are all happily joking! Sean doesn't have any problems, I think he doesn't get our type of humor.
I totally agree with DeeDee about the countries thing and I don't think I left the Mental Instituion.... where am I again? LOL!!
Comen, I don't think we were ever introduced. I am Kate. I am kind of new to the site and it seems like you've been here pretty long, on second thought I think everyone has been here longer than me because you all are like a smaller family in our large Mummy family.
I am so very happy to be here and I embrace you all for your disorders (Mummydragon Mania, Frasertitis, etc.) We are family and I think this is just a rough patch with Sean which will go away like any little disagreement. HE HAS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIM!!! So now let's drop it.
OK, I'm finally done! Man, it feels good to be back :-D
Much Love My Mummy Family,
By Kate on June 1, 2008 4:32 PMKate
Kate you are the voice of reason. As you said, there has been a BIG misunderstanding of our humour . We are not out to get anyone. We just love having fun with each other.
By maz on June 1, 2008 4:48 PMYes, you are right most of us have been here since September. Go and have a look at the old threads if you want a real laugh because we all let our imaginations run amok back then. It kept us all laughing for weeks.
We are all getting very excited about this movie's release and looking forward to the next trailer too.
We're all feeling very positive and happy. LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY PLEASE!!!!!!
Maz, you and I are totally on the same page! Thank you btw for the "voice of reason" thing. I think it really stinks that I missed all those laughs! But we all just need to remember, We are here for the Mummy movies! Not to debate whether someone has a mental issue (not that anyone does!!) Let's all take a deep breath and RELAX!!!!! Now who else is UBER EXCITED for the new trailer besides me?????
Much Love My Mummy Family,
By Kate on June 1, 2008 4:54 PMKate
All of you who don't agree with me about what i say about this movie don't really have to reply back to me with their rude-dumb comments!. It's honestly your choice to reply to me and make your selves sound so very crazy, and mean-spirited!. And man o man!, isn't it always the comment posts for movies where the most people who are mean spirited gather up on a webpage, writing replies to the honest-nice-mature people who always have something nice to say about a awsome movie like the mummy 3 !!!, unlike the rude-mean spirited people who just always love to make them selve look like total idiots!, for who the heck knows what reason!!!, all because of an f-ing movie!!!.
By sean on June 1, 2008 7:37 PMGIVE ME FREAKIN' BREAK PEOPLE!, PLEASE!!!.
P.S. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ON MY SIDE OF WHAT I'M TRYING SAY!, I'M NOT TALKING YOU!, I"M TALKING THOSE OF YOU WHO MIGHT BE AGAINST ME!!!. O!, AND I HAVE NO MENTAL PROBLEMS!, I'M TELLING THAT TO WHO SAID THATI DID EARLIER!!!, IN WHICH NO!, I F-ING DON'T!!!, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!..............................................
~SEAN~
Sean, I don't get it... Seriously. WTF!!? After reading what you just posted all I can say to you is practice what you preach dude. If someone's bothering YOU why don't YOU quit replying to them as well. Someone has to be the bigger person and just walk away right!? It seems to me that you're just trying to instigate some kind of bs feud just to get attention. For the last time, no one's against you. We're all here for The Mummy 3 just the same as you... Matter o' fact, most of us have been here since the beginning. Where were you??
HELLLL YEAAAA!! GO TEAM COHEN!!
By Clouded_Reality on June 1, 2008 7:55 PMP.S. Is typing in all caps supposed to mean that you're really angry?? LOL.
By Clouded_Reality on June 1, 2008 7:58 PMCAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT EACH OTHER ON HERE NEGATIVELY PLEASE?, AND START TALKING ABOUT THE MUMMY 3 LIKE WE'RE ALL SUPPOST TO DO ON HERE LIKE ROB COHEN THE DIRECTOR OF THE MOVIE INTENDED US TO DO?!?!?!?!?!?!. I'D SERIOUSLY APPRECIATE IT A WHOLE LOT!!!!!. WHEN SOME OF YOU ON HERE, WITH OUT SAYING NAMES, SAYS SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT ANOTHER PEROSON TRYING TO LEAVE COMMENTS ON HERE TOO!, IT MAKES THE PERSON WHO SAYING MEAN THINGS ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON LOOK LIKE A TOTAL JACK_ _ _!!!!!, AND DARN IT!, THEY KNOW IT, BUT JUST DON'T WANNA SAY THAT THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY JUST MIGHT MAKE THEM SELVES LOOK STUPID TOO!, AND THEY KNOW IT!!!!!. SO THOSE OF YOU THAT THINK I DON'T KNOW IT!, UHH WELL YEAS ACTUALLY I DO KNOW IT!. I'M NOT STUPID AT ALL LIKE SOME OF YOU THINK I AM!!!!!!!!!!.
By sean on June 1, 2008 8:18 PMFOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T THINK I AM!, I WAS NOT REALLY TRYING TO SAY ANY OF THIS TO YOU AT ALL!, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO FEEL INSULTED!, IF YOU DID WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED READING THIS COMMENT ON THIS COMMENT POST I'VE LEFT TONIGHT OR TODAY FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE WHERE ITS STILL DAYLIGHT OUTSIDE AS YOU READ THIS!.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!.
BEST REGARDS!, TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ON MY SIDE OF WHAT I'M SAYING!
~SEAN~
YEAH CLOUDED I AGREE WITH WHAT YOUR SAYING TO ME AS ADVICE!, AND YES I APPRECIATE SO THANK YOU!, BUT!, HELL!, I'M JUST TRYING TO STAND UP FOR MY SELF!, BECAUSE OF THE OTHER PEOPLE ON HERE INSALTING ME LEFT AND RIGHT!, AS THEY MAKE UP A BUNCH OF CRAP ABOUT ME AS THEY GO ALONG, AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ME IN PERSON!!!!!!!!!!.
By SEAN on June 1, 2008 8:26 PMGood Morning to all my lovely Mumettes!!
I'm so touched that you came to my rescue. I took the advice of breathing in and out for several minutes... ^-^
Hi Kate, Nice to meet you and welcome to our little family here!! We really LOVE to talk about everything Mummy related (and a little bit beyond) and till now it has been quite a peaceful little place here wiht the occasional troll, who we battled off. Rob was quite happy with us all this time, too, so I really don't hope he is too sad by what is going on here these last days.
I'm really not going to talk to someone anymore, who keeps on using that much exclemation marks and WRITES EVERYTHING IN CAPITAL LETTERS. THAT'S VERY RUDE IN INTERNET; YOU KNOW??
And for the most part, I even don't know anymore what he's saying. (I cite: "For those of you who are on my side of what I'm saying" That was one major laugh, really.)
This Mummy Family is not about taking sides, (okay, for TM3), but about friendship! And if someone here tries to destroy that he simply doesn't belong here. (Anyway, it feels to me that way.)
I really can't see where sean was insulted left and right here. I was a little bit harsh, that's what I comitt, but maz and DeeDee have been completely nice to him.
BTW, am I really insulting everyone?? And where did I ever say anything against our beloved TM3??? I really can't remember...
Just because I don't run around here screaming: Where's the next trailer?? Where's the soundtrack??? I really would like to have everything as soon as possible myself, but pleazzzze, it will come out eventually.
Sean, a tip: Go to imdb, there are a lot of people who talk ill about this movie, could you please go there and try to plant the seed of love for this incredible movie??? That would be really helpful!!
I promise, I'll never talk to you again! (Or insult you as you put it.)
To all my beloved Mumettes: Have a nice night or a good day, whichever you prefer!
By Comen on June 1, 2008 11:25 PMGo Team Cohen! *hugs*
Yes Sean we could do with someone else with a fighting spirit to use it against the nasty people on IMDb, who slate TM3 constantly. If we are capable of annoying you, you ought to read what they write! They are the real nasties on the net, where this film is concerned.
By maz on June 2, 2008 2:57 AMAs Delilah said, there is no for or against people on this site. We are all a happy little family, which you are welcome to be a part of, but you really must learn to trust our positivety and support for this film and towards each other. No-one wants anyone else to feel insulted because no insults are intended. We joke around with each other a lot (especially about our obsessive liking of anything to do with the Mummy franchise or, dare I say it, Brendan Fraser). Obsession is not a dirty word and it is meant in the lightest possible sense. It is obvious you don't get our humour but you'll have to learn to ignore it. We won't stop aimimg our humour at each other. If you want us to not include you in that humour we will respect that. However, for us to respect your wishes, you have to meet us half way and stop attacking and insulting us. Anything we say from this point forward will only relate to ourselves and not you. If you calm down with us, we will leave you alone with our humour. DO WE HAVE A DEAL?
Last night was the MTV movie awards and I have to say that I was extremely happy when Breandan Fraser walked out to present the best villan. When I heard his name I completely flipped out (screaming, jumping up and down, etc.) Any other responses like that for people who saw that last night?
Much Love My Mummy Family (including sean),
By Kate on June 2, 2008 3:26 AMKate
and I agree wth Comen and Maz,
people at IMDb are sooo mean. Someone went so far as to say it was like an Indiana Jones movie!! Discraceful! It is it's own movie, definately not like anything out there now and it shouldn't be compared to anything without being seen. This movie hasn't even been released! So it's not fair that people could say that based on trailers.
Much Love My Mummy Family,
Kate
P.S. This is not an angry post! I'm expressing my opinion only.
By Kate on June 2, 2008 3:35 AMwhen they (even myself) says that "its an indiana jones's type movie" simply cuz it deals with archaelogy, supernatural forces and off course a "larger than life" adventurer in the tradition of those early pulp adventures from the 30s and 40s from where came the inspiration for "raiders" "temple of doom" and "last crusade" and "indy" despite he is not original, he became an icon in this type of films
By indy vs. rick on June 2, 2008 9:45 AMand nobody can kick`s Indy...just the age, not the mileage, lol.
By indy vs. rick on June 2, 2008 9:47 AMKate, you rotter!!!! I can't see MTV!!!! I've seen the photos on the net though. Are you in the States?
By maz on June 2, 2008 11:09 AMHave a look at Wire Images and Getty Images. There are some lovely photos of Brendan at the Guy's Choice awards Too. He presented an award to Harrison Ford and showed his respect for the man. I spent all day yesterday trawling round different websites to see the amazing photos. I'm still drooling!!!! He looks hot!!!!!!!!
Now I'm really jealous of anyone who's seen the MTV Movie Awards. They don't seem to show them on British TV unless you have sky and pay to have MTV.
Sorry Maz that you couldn't see it and yes I am in the States. Are you in England? Yes he dooes look lovely, doesn't he? Oh I think I have Frasertitis bad!!
Much Love My Mummy Family,
By Kate on June 2, 2008 12:47 PMKate
Yep, I'm in England and getting heartily angry with MTV!!!! I even joined the MTV community and still I can't view the show. I'm so mad I could spit!!!!
By maz on June 2, 2008 3:39 PMI know it isn't your fault Kate. I hope you enjoyed the show.
DeeDee can view it too. I'm green with envy!!!!
At least I'll be able to see this film when it is released.
Hello everybody!, i've read all your real nice recent comment post replys to me lately that i could see where kind of like a reply to me!, i guess?=). Alright!, look i've decided that i'll definately be alittle bit more nicer to you all who might not agree with me sometimes about what i might say on some rare occasions ''having to do with my recent comment post replies to you all !", and the movie. So you don't have to think of me anymore as mean spirited dude!. I will definately calm down alittle bit more about what you all say sometimes!, only on one ordeal!, and that is!, if you all here not think of me anymore as a rude!, mean spirited person because, in reality i'm not that way at all!!! =). I'm actually alot nicer of a person than you all might think!. And let me just tell you all more thing!, and that is i'm anticipating the theatrical release of the mummy: tomb of the dragon emperor BIG TIME!, ican't wait!, can you all?=). That!, including the upcoming release of the next new movie trailer from the movie also!, and definately the soundtrack too!. Well !, that's all i have to say for now!, so i'll talk to guys later! =). Have a nice night!, or day!, depending on where you all are located!!! =). Thanks for forgiving me!, i accept your forgivness!!! =).
By sean on June 2, 2008 6:29 PM~SEAN~
Now that's what I'm talkin' about Sean!! Way to turn things around for the better. Now let's see if we can all congregate in a civilized manner from now on. We have far greater obstacles ahead of us anyway. We all know the trolls will be back as soon as we get a new update, or that new trailer. We must combine our powers and use them for the greater good!! G'day and G'night All!!
HELLL YEAAA!! GO TEAM COHEN!!
By Clouded_Reality on June 2, 2008 6:49 PMP.S. Oh, and Thank You for not typing in all caps Sean. : )
By Clouded_Reality on June 2, 2008 6:52 PMWell clouded!, your very welcome!!!. I guess you can say i do get carried away sometimes with all the exclumation points! and question marks, but!, quite honestley!, I like to have alittle fun with the way i type sometimes!, i just don't like getting to crazy with it but, sometimes i don't even realize that i do as you can see!. But!, i have one little question for you all here and that is!, can we please start talking about the movie now like we're suppost to!, and not about me so much?. Us talking about alot me so much on here lately Is starting to make me feel bad!. I hope you all understand!, how i feel about that!. It's kinda embarrassing!. I'm sorry i feel that way!, but yeah!, i kinda do!. Don't take it the wrong way though!, cause i don't mean for you all to take the wrong way at all !.
By sean on June 2, 2008 8:24 PMGO TEAM COHEN! =).
SINCERELY!,
~Sean~
Nuff said Sean. I hope you give those IMDb types a run for their money as we do occasionally. You would be truly shocked at their comments about the film that we are all anticipating with as much excitement as you feel.
By Maz on June 3, 2008 3:56 AMWe are the true fans on Rob Cohen's blog!!!! August can't come soon enough for any of us.
Team Cohen rocks!!!!!!!
Hello My Beloved Family of die-hard Mummettes !!
Nice to see you again ( KL, Maz, Cappie, Comen, Kate, )( BTW Kate, yes, you had an acute episode of Fraseritis, girl...you know , it´s a chronic diseases and it has its relapses...many too many in my case... LOL LOL ) Now... where the heck are Anita, David and Ry ???? And for Goodness sake Steven...it´s everything OK ,honey ?? You didn´t come to Facebook either !! Ohh well...
...Yeah Maz I´m with you...we are the true fans on Rob Cohen´s blog...We ALWAYS knew what we were talking about...let´s say we have some kind of " funny-delusional state of controlled release" LOL LOL ( mmOK boys, just our cyclic Bren-induced-estrogenic-waves get a little bit out of control sometimes LOL LOL )... Rob created and sustains this Blog with his fantastic updates and the delectable material he offers to us, so generously.....and our support to Rob´s TM3 ( since August 2007) AND our funny and brilliant ( ahheeemmm :D ) conversations did build this Blog...Rob seems to agree and that´s why- I guess- he started to call us ( many months ago his " Mummy-Family" )
Needles to say, every new poster who wants to post supporting or criticizing - respectfully of course- the movie is welcome...
But we don´t have to take any instruction about which "should be " the thread of our chats...at least IMHO...
So, let´s keep being FUNNY like we always have been !! shall we ??
HELLLL YEEEAAAHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!!!
DeeDee
By Delilah on June 3, 2008 7:39 AMYeah!, hey!, maz your totally right!, i'd say the same thing but, i'm not an imdb blogger!, like i am a mummy fan blogger here on rob cohens mummy 3 movie blog here!. DeeDee, I totally agree with you, with what you've said in your recent comment post reply!, i guess all of us here including myself has an interesting favorite movie craziness!, when it comes to the mummy movies!, "soon to be trilogy". This is, allthough not just my only favorite movie trilogy!, i also like the pirates of the caribbean trilogy, the iron man movie and "soon to be" iron man 2 movie idea!, i like a whole lot of other movies other then just the mummy movies!, so i'm crazy about other movies too!, every year when new movies are released to theaters, they seem to get better and better every year!, at least that's how i see it!, anyone else agree or feel the same way sometimes?. I'm a major crazy person when it comes to summer movies and winter movies and on rare occasions even some movies sometimes during spring, depending on what movie it is!. Well, i talk you all leter, GO MUMMY FANS!, GO TEAM COHEN!.
By sean on June 3, 2008 11:13 AMSEAN.
Hey DeeDee! I don't mind Fraseritis, it makes me feel very happy especially when I see him in picture, on the TV, or in the magazines!! I'm soooo excited for the new trailer and I agree with Maz how August can't come soon enough! And Sean, don't we all love movies? Especially when there are continuing ones after it!! OMG!! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!! wow, sorry about that random spurt of energy... That sucks though, Maz, that youcan't see MTV :-( but DeeDee, did you see the MTV Movie awards?? Did you see Brandon????? Oh, isn't he just sexy?
Much Love My Mummy Family,
By Kate on June 3, 2008 1:03 PMKate
You tube comes to the rescue again!!!! Someone put the clip up of Brendan giving Johhny Depp an award so I'm feeling better cos I've seen it.
By maz on June 3, 2008 2:32 PMOooohhhh yeeessss he looks hot!!!!!!!!! Kate have you seen the photos of the guy's choice awards? He looked reeaallllllyyyyyy
sexy in those. Check out the Hungarian fan site. They have a lot of Brennie photos that you can view to your heart's content. All together they have about 8000 photos. It will keep you occupied for hours.
Kate, i know you where talking to DeeDee so, i'm sorry to burst into your recent conversation with her so please forgive me, i'm so sorry about that, but i just wanted to say real quick that since you where saying something to me too on your most recent comment post reply i just wanted to say that, Yeah movies are amazing these days, especially the ones with very famous actors and actresses in them, and the movies with tons of awsome special effects!. But, of course we all know that, thats not what a movie is all about right?. Theres also alot more involved in movies, then just the actors and actresses and special effects in the movie!. There is also the producers and directors and writters, and the people who also are alot more involved in the movie even happening in the first place!, theres also alot more people behind the filming of the movies which alot of them we might not even know that they are even needed for movies these days!. Plus some of that even depends on what movie it is, and what kind of movie is also. And don't forget about the location of the filiming too, unless it is a green screen or blue screen movie like the movie 300 is or like the movie sin city!. and last, there is also the composers too!, for the music if they where to add that too in the movie as well. Well i'll Talk to you all later!. I'm sorry about this what i've written is so long to read!, i sometimes get carried away when i type, as you can all see! =(, but!, of course i don't do it on purpose!. And i'm also so sorry to burst into your conversation with deedee!, please forgive me!, it's just that since you said something to me on your reply to her!, i thought i'd go ahead and give you back an answer to what you it was that you said to me earlier!.
By sean on June 3, 2008 2:32 PM~Sean~ =)
Sean, one of the things we have learned by being a part of this site is that, just as you say, there is a lot more to the filmmaking process than the filmgoer would be aware of.
By maz on June 3, 2008 5:26 PMRob explained the conditions that the cast and crew lived in for a while (no indoor plumbing). We take it for granted that these films are made for our entertainment but we don't think about the effort put in to it by everyone involved. We just see the end result. Being here since September has opened my eyes quite a lot and I'll never look at a film in the same way as I did before. I know now how many people work very hard to give us the entertainment we crave.
Hi maz!, yeah hey!, i'm glad to see you understand it the way i do!. I know that people work very hard to make big movies like this big upcoming one!. I've seen what it takes to make movies for people to have to deal with experience stuff like that because on a majority of many dvd and blu ray movies, they always show and remind us all what it takes to make a movie and get it completed, on the special features is what i mean and also the extra features too. I guess that could mean the same thing!, right?. Well it was nice talking to you!, i'll talk you all later tonight or tomorrow!.
By sean on June 3, 2008 7:38 PM~Sean~

Nicole
maz, its really cool hear that brenden offered the award to Ford, do you have a clip to show it?
By indy vs. rick on June 4, 2008 10:51 AMNicole, yeah!, i know!, i can't wait for that time to come too!. i'll bet this movie will be HUGE in the box office when it's released to the theaters on august 1st friday and then will hopefully be HUGE when it's released to dvd and blu ray disc at the end of this year or the beginning of next year in 2009 !. I have this strange gutt feeling though that it'll probably be released in january 2009 !. Does that sound like a possible dvd and blu ray disc release date for this movie?. I know though that, that is a long time away from now and we all have to wait for the dvd and blu ray disc release of this movie!, but, i know all of us including my self have to patient for that time to come!, right?. Although the movie of course has not even been released to theaters yet!, so we will have to see it in theaters first if we all choose to, which would be a smart thing to do!, because it does look like cool movie anyway to not miss out on seeing it !, right?.
By sean on June 4, 2008 11:02 AMWell !, i'll talk to all you mummy fans later!, have nice day!, or night!, depending on where you are! =). Hey!, by the way!, does anyone here think that this movie will end up looking better "visually", in the theaters or when it's on blu ray disc in "high definition" for hdtv's?, i'm just curious!.
~Sean~
Indy there are photos on wire image and getty images of the occasion. Also on Brendan fraser unofficial Hungarian fan site.
By maz on June 4, 2008 2:57 PMI can't view the clips cos Spike Tv is affiliated to MTV it seems and MTV don't allow their video clips to be shown in England (the rotters).
If it turns up on you tube I'll let you know.
Indy, I don't know if this link will work but try it anyway.

By maz on June 4, 2008 3:04 PMI tried it. It works.
By maz on June 4, 2008 3:05 PMSean, its OK. I don't mind it at all! You are forgiven. But just so you know, I really don't mind if someone bursts into conversations.
Maz, thank you sooo much for that tidbit of info. I am soo glad that you finally got to see it! I haven't checked out the Hungarian site yet, but don't worry, I will!

Does anyone know when the universal studios people will start releasing movie clips from the mummy tomb of the dragon emperor movie on movie websites that have movie trailers and movie clips of the latest and upcoming movies???.
By sean on June 4, 2008 3:17 PMO!, o.k.!, thank you kate!, yeah!, i know it wasn't nice of me!, to burst into your conversation with her recently but, i totally didn't mean for it to happen like in a mean or bad way at all!, but, then again i'm glad you understand!. Thank you! =).
By sean on June 4, 2008 3:26 PMsean, its fine. Don't worry about it! I'm not gonna yell at you for it because I was commenting to you too!
Kate
By Kate on June 4, 2008 3:33 PMKate that link I gave Indy goes straight in to the Hungarian site to some very nice photos of Brennie at the Guy's Choice Awards. Go and have a little look.
By maz on June 4, 2008 4:24 PMSean, I don't think any of us have the answer to your question.
OMG! I think my heart stopped! but I don't mind.. thank you sooo much Maz for that link!!! He is beautiful!!! Oh, I can't wait for this wonderful movie to come out!!!! BTW where is DeeDee???? Should we send a search party??
By Kate on June 4, 2008 4:50 PMthanks for uploading the image, maz. I think that Brendan could be one of mr. Ford biggest fan it reminds me wath KL said when i made a joke abouth a crossover between O Connel and Indy going for the same treasure, in fact, KL proposed a cool idea with the newer generation of adventurers including Shia Laboeuf and Luke Ford togheter in an action adventure movie.
By on June 4, 2008 4:57 PMShe's probably fainted clear away during a severe attack of Fraseritis. He certainly looks hot in those photos. I spent a lot of time on Monday trawling the net to find lots of photos from the guy's choice awards and the MTV awards. It kept a smile on my face I can tell you. Did wonders for my circulation!!!
By maz on June 4, 2008 5:00 PMWell, no, Maz...you know, through the years I developed some kind of " resistance", that has allowed me to stand -stoically- the many attacks of Fraseritis. Of course, the last days were really an overload ( a wonderful one! ) of the " causal agent"...who looks especially pathogenic right now ( come on...he really looks more handsome than ever !! )...anyway, that is supposed to act like some kind of immunization...you know, pretty soon, I´ll must be able to resist without fainting the GREAT and BIG Rick O´Connell, gloriously displayed on the big screen !! YEEESSSSS!!!!
HELLLL YEEEAAAHHHHH !! GO TEAM COHEN !!!!
PS: thanks for your concerns Kate...Actually I´m really immersed in a job-overload, I´m having a nasty cold-laryngitis and some equally nasty troubles with my PC...that´s the truth...
See ya all soon Mummettes
DeeDee
By Delilah on June 4, 2008 6:21 PMKate!, thanks again!, about recently =). Maz!, thanks for letting me know that you honestly where not sure about the upcoming mummy 3 movie clips !, i understand!, maybe we'll see them sooner then we all might think we will ! =). Maybe someone else can answer my question here for who that just might know the answer to my question about the future mummy 3 movie clips from the movie on the internet, that hopefully will come out soon ! =). Maybe they'll come out sometime soon in june or july!, then of course the movie comes out on august 1st, 2008 friday!, which if the clips do come out in june or july!, that'll be like perfect timing! , Right?, i mean like right before the movies theatrical release to the theaters!. O.k.!, well i'll talk you all sometime again soon during tonight or tomorrow or tomorrow night!. Bye!, for now!.

We all like it too.
By maz on June 5, 2008 1:29 AMDeeDee,
Sorry to hear that you are not well. I hope you are better soon. Perhaps yor PC is coming out in sympathy with you....maybe it is suffering a bad attack of Brendan Fraser overload...can PCs be affected with Fraseritis????? If so mine must be heading for a nervous breakdown.
Have you done a disk clean up or a defrag?
Where is everyone lately?
Well...mine is surely affected for an overload of spicy material...YUMMY...But actually, it seems to be more a hardware problem of the "intranet", you know, the " router" ( or whatever its name) which connects the 4 PCs we got at home...
Well, my laryingitis is worse BTW :(
Yes, where is the rest of the Mummettes lately ?
DeeDee
By Delilah on June 5, 2008 5:12 AMYes sean this will be a hard time, till the mummy will be there.

By David C on June 6, 2008 9:27 AMThat took a while, Reading all those posts I missed over the past few days, First off I apologise for not being here I just haven't had five minutes to post, but I'm here not it looked there like you could have used my support since I've been gone sorry I didn't come through but... I'm here again now and you all got through it all great you wonderful gang you.
Its hard to believe it was just last week or something I was here begging someone, anyone to post then I disappear and everyone shows up lol, Even some new people hi to any new member I am actually a regular, a mummy blogger since august 07 or sometime around then, although I know it doesn't look like it over the past week.
Hope you are all doing well Comen huni I'm glad your keeping up with your thesis huni keep good work it will be all worth it when your done.
Delilah hope you are feeling better pet I thought your writing was abit hoarse over the past few days lol. Feel better soon hun.
Maz, Maz now you have been having a very big estrogen Brenden Frazeritis attack since I've been gone it's even spilled over to the other girls you have shown the new girl Kate (hiya good to have you here) the ropes well huni, I'm really glad you got to see your MTV clip if I had been here on time I would have suggested You tube but you did that anyway hope you are well huni.
Clouded Reality hows things bro your posts are few and far between theses days (bit like my own lol) hope your doing well.
Now wheres the rest of the gang Steven, Ry, Anita?
And oh Indy V Rick I wouldn't describe M3 exactly as a Indy type move but I did get the way you explained that comment bro its more of a genre comment,nd one more thing I don't know if I should ask this or not but can I ask your actually name or nick name even, just your first name I'm not looking for your whole identity lol but we call everyone on here by there name like maz and Delilah and I even call Clouded Reality his own name at times (Alton) but with you I feel abit informal, only if you dont mind me askin bro.
OK ramble over I gotta head
Talk to you all later
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!
Peace
David C

Hiya David!!!! You haven't been here to keep your little Maz under control have you? See what happens when you abandon me? Raging Fraseritis!!!!!! I've kept the other girls amused and suffering the same malady by posting a link to some very nice Brennie photos. Well, it keeps us off the streets.
By maz on June 6, 2008 10:06 AMYou have been conspicuous by your absence, as have Cloudy and Ryan. I think Ryan is in France though at the moment. I don't know what Cloudy is doing but I expect it involves Bella the bellydancer.
Hey David! I'm soo glad to be here! As I've said before I love being apart of this family! And yes Frasertitis has spilled over to me too! but I love it!!!
Delilah, feel better sis! Big hugs to you!!!

Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Videogame Trailer
By Clouded_Reality on June 7, 2008 11:46 AMWow, Capt. Cloudy, what a great find! Normally I don't like videogames based on movies, but mybe I'll make an exception for the TM3 game?? I only own a Nintendo DS, though. Have to look how that looks on the DS.
Thanx everyone for your upright concern about my graduation thesis
