WE ARE WRAPPED!

December 8, 2007 10:25 PM

Dear Mummy Family—

After 91 days of shooting and 2,021 shots, “THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR” has wrapped. I finished shooting the “Imhotep’s Nightclub” sequence with Isabella Leong slow dancing with Luke Ford and, across the dance floor, Brendan Fraser guiding Maria Bello through the steps in a very romantic ending quickly turning to comedy as upstairs in the lounge, John Hannah gets caught skipping out of town on his partner Liam Cunningham.

It was with some considerable emotion I announced “shogung!” in Chinese and the set went up with applause and tears. People hugged, flash cameras flashed like strobes and the cast and crew shared the same sweet sense of achievement in many languages. Chinese grips and French Canadian grips, big, strong tough men, slapped each other’s backs and whisked away a few budding drops from their eyes with calloused fingers. The most common words in the air were “I learned so much from you.” “I will miss you.”

There was an announcement from production that the wrap party was set immediately outside and that a “show” would start soon. We filed out of the soundstage at the back of the beautiful Shanghai Studio where tables had all been prepared with champagne and beer. Bruce Steinheimer, my special effects head, handed me a button attached to a long wire and said, “push it” which I did…

That set off a non-stop eight-minute long barrage of FIREWORKS the likes of which no one had ever seen, wave after wave, patterns and colors of light beyond imagining. A friend of mine videotaped some of it, and I will post it for you all to enjoy as soon as a copy gets in my possession.

We used a ton of fireworks in the chase I mounted through the streets of Shanghai on Chinese New Year so our Chinese fireworks team had just gone to the limit to mark the completion of the film. I never saw anything like it.

It was 3:30 on a cold December morning and there was enough light and sound over Shanghai to,,,dare I say?…wake the dead. I had my arm around my wife Barbara and watched the heavens with joy and gratitude in my heart for the way the breaks fell for us, the good weather (we shot in Shanghai for five weeks during the “rainy season” and didn’t lose one day to rain); we shot in the Tianmo desert for three weeks and only lost a few hours due to a sandstorm driven by gale force winds. We shot in Montreal on two exterior sets for three weeks with snow made from a hundred tons of Epsom salt which rain would have ruined and never got wet. The weather gods were with me and they made all the difference.

I was grateful that, having staged over 500 stunts, not one actor or stuntman was hurt, only one close call for our great stunt woman Ming Qiu doubling Michelle Yeoh in a wire ratchet but, after X-rays, she was all good.

I was grateful for the talent of my actors and the characters we co-created together. Brendan is a true talent on many levels and I truly believe you are going to embrace this new Rick O’Connell with an even greater passion than you now feel. Just a hunch.

Maria Bello joined the family and blasted out a new Evy with charm and fire. Her beauty and intelligence, wit and courage were something I appreciated each and every day.

Newcomers Luke Ford and Isabella Leong made me love my job working with fresh talent, guiding their instincts and energies through the immense process of a long shoot and seeing them exceed all my demands.

Jet Li epitomizes graciousness, spiritual depth, and physical grace. He never lost his sense of humor, even when I had him covered from head-to-foot in terracotta mud; he was so committed to the role, nothing was too much. I learned a lot from him in more ways than just film.

Michelle Yeoh should be made Queen of the World. If so, I would be a monarchist. What an elegant woman! She is a light being. She glows from within , even in sunlight.

John Hannah is such an inventive actor and I believe you will see a re-invigorated “Jonathan” in my film, a character with more to do and say but bringing the same comic energy on which we all depend. A great guy to hang out with as well!

Liam Cunningham who I first saw in Ken Loach’s fine film ‘THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY” turned out to be a comic revelation as “MAD DOG MAGUIRE” the mercenary pilot who flies the O’Connells into the Himalayas on their quest to thwart the Emperor Mummy. He and John made duets of laughter. You’ll see.

David Calder brought a much needed weight to the story, a fine Shakespearean actor, not well known in America…yet…but bringing a Sydney Greenstreet/Claude Rains type characterization to the mad goings on of “Mummy 3”.

Also, I am grateful I started this blog. What began as an experiment goaded forward by Vic Armstrong, has become one of most stimulating new aspects of my professional life. I feel better in touch with the very people for whom I have been making movies all these years (this one is my 30th) but now I hear your voices directly, feel your personalities and can enjoy a new sense of dialog.

Rest assured, I will continue to update you on the post-production process, give you sneak peaks, and take you right through to the world premiere in Beijing, China on July 24, 2008.

Most people think that once you’ve finished shooting, you are mostly done. Nothing could be more untrue. What lies ahead, editing, sound effects, design, score, 800 visual effects shots, the mix, timing the digital intermediate with Simon Duggan my D.P., the release plans, art, advertising, marketing---they all lie ahead and within each are countless challenges.

Stay tuned, and I will take you along on PART TWO of MUMMY 3.

Bye, bye for now….

Rob

Comments

Dear Rob, CONGRATULATIONS for the completion of the M3 production! We will be waiting for more photos and videos during the post-production. Please don't forget to show us some photos of Michelle Yeoh and Russell Wong. ;-)

From what I have seen(pictures) and read(update articles) everything looks smashing. Didn't I say this movie is going to rock? Always believe, Rob

Robbie,

Excellent. Great to hear. My anticipation for this movie keeps doubling, and tripling, and now it officially is quadrupling. I am happy to hear everything went so swimmingly and it was such a wonderful experience. As my mother would say, 'now, don't screw it up!' The film should be extraordinary and we couldn't be happier with what we've seen so far.

Mysty, you are correct. This movie is going to rock.

Ryan

Rock on, Team

Hey guys sorry for the long absence. A lot has happened. I've been traveling around to Beijing and Hangzhou, both incredible cities.

I did my cameo in the film. Look for me as one of McGuire's pilot buddies at Imhotep's night club. I'm also in one of the shots near the end, but I won't tell you where ;)

I'm a bit bummed out that my movie family has dispersed for the time being. But I suppose life goes on, and I'm sure that many of them will be on future projects. Hollywood is a small world. And some people I'm sure I'll see very soon, through the second part of production.

It was magical, seeing all the fireworks that Rick and Bruce had left over from an earlier gag. They are both awesome people and were great bosses to me last summer.

Well, I'll be in LA on the 15th of December, so when I get any news, I'll be sure to report.

Also, Liam Cunningham and I recommend a show called "Father Ted." We both agree that it was the single greatest television show to ever air, and was totally brilliant.

Cheers,
K

Thank the maker there is a new thread. All this bad formatting was starting to get to me.

And thanks for the good will, Dee. You are a consummate lady.

Congrats!
I am really looking forward to this film. It sure is gonna be one of the coolest films of 2008.
Good to hear nobody got hurt during filming.
And Michelle Yeoh should be Queen of the world, I agree :D

Good luck with the post-production!!

OoOoOo so exciting! Congratulations for completing the shoot, Rob, cast and crew! I'm sure the 2nd process will go as fast as this shoot did because after all we are all HERE NOW! I'm really exicted about seeing this film next year (8 months away) and I can't say how much I'm anticipating a trailer for it. I know this goes on behalf of everyone here on this blog.

Okay, that's enough for now but thanks again Rob for staying with us, giving us posts and updates and I really appreciate it. Thank you.

And thank you Kyle for joining us and giving us updates and tidbits of info on the film as it was shot.

Best of wishes to you all n' Love/Peace - Steven :)

Oh Gosh !!OK, I know that I´m always a little " emotional" during Xmas Time, but Rob...these update of yours really made me cry ! I can feel the emotion of all your wonderful team through your words, and I´m sure that you were all soooo glad but melancholic at the same time...Wish you all the best during the postproduction process, and yes please, do continue the updates !!
Uhh...Rob...I´m kinda worried, you said we are
" going to embrace this new Rick O’Connell with an even greater passion than you now feel "...eerrr...are you sure? I mean, for some of us feeling a " greater passion" for him would mean going definitely out of control !! LOL LOL LOL

Kyle, is nice to see you again ! We are waiting for your comments !

And, Ry, you are welcome, Bro!

HELLLL YEEAAHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!
DeeDee

Rob,
Thanks for this update. Don't worry about Delilah's "out of control emotions" if Rick is more loveable. We have smelling salts at the ready. Come to think of it, I might need them myself.
You really know how to get the atmosphere of the occasion in to words. I could almost feel the emotion myself. I can imagine that when people work together on a project for five months they can become quite close. Then it becomes a wrench when they all go their seperate ways.
We know you are going to be busy so we will all try to be patient between updates.
Thankyou Kyle for coming back to our little family. Where have you been? We missed you.

Awesome! Well to Rob and his huge team. Loved the first two and looking forward to this one after no-doubt extensive post production! Merry Christmas too!

Awesome. Hopefully we get a trailer, pics, and a poster very soon.

Congratulations on completing the shoot! I am really looking forward to this film. 2008 is gonna rock ^_^

Good luck, and best of wishes to you all!

dear rob,
I really enjoy reading your blogs. I aspire to be a filmmaker when i graduate from high school. reading your updates help me to learn and keep up with the filmmaking process. i cant wait for the movie, i know its gonna be great.

Rob,cast and Crew,

Congrats with the wrapping of the movie !!!! Hooray !!!
it is very exciting and i am looking forward to the finishing product !!!!

Go team Cohen !!

Love Anita XXX

( Oh Christ...I have a lot of work to do...but I can´t stop reading this new update. I´m coming and coming and coming to my PC! )I´m dying to see the video of that incredible wrap party !
Geezzz ...Everything about this movie sounds simply spectacular ! It has all the ingredients that make me fall in love with a movie: action, adventure, supernatural beings and ...romance !!...YES!! ( Notice that I didn´t mention the leading actor...LOL LOL )( eerr...Maz, get an extra provision of that smelling salts, please;it seems that we are gonna need it... LOL )
Of course, this movie is gonna be even more special to me,actually, to all the " Mummy-family"; cuz we were following its development since the very beginning ...I´ve never, ever thought that the hyper-busy director of such a monumental production, would be so kind as to take us along on the film! We all are immeasurably grateful, dear Rob !! Surely you´ve earnt yourself all these wonderful things that are happening to you!

HELLLLLL YEEAAAHHH!!!GO TEAM COHEN !!
DeeDee

Congrats to the cast and crew on finishing TM3!!!

It has been a long journey that has been remarkable and renewed.

Rob, thank you for all that you've done, in letting each and every one of us into your wonderful world, letting us be a part of it, and just taking the time to be a part of the fans. Its a wonderful thing.

You've given us all insight on what goes on and have definately made this a wonderful ride and we cant wait to see the grand finale when TM3 is released!!!

DeeDee,
I've got lots of smelling salts, just in case everything gets too much for us.
As you so rightly say, it has been a revelation to be carried along with the making of this film and we can thank Rob for letting us take the trip (and lending us the dirigible).
When we see the finished result we are not aware of the hard work that goes in to it, both from the actors, crew and
the director. They've had to suffer difficult conditions, while we sit at home, warm and dry and with indoor plumbing.
We appplaud you all Rob, all the cast and crew (see I didn't mention our favourite man DeeDee) for your efforts to produce a film we can enjoy
next year.
Keep up the good work Rob and we continue to be your loyal TEAM COHEN!

Hey you all !Rob , thank you for sharing this amazing info with us for all these months !!!!Me and my mates will go and see the mummy threeee ,YEAH !!Greetzzz to all the mummy family !!!Enjoy finishing this incredibel job !!!

I think in Mummy3, Isabella is very profession and great.
Thanks for share.

Rob, congratulations on finishing production! It's amazing "the Weather Gods" where with you in all those locations, and that you didn't miss one single day by this, that's somethign you don't hear happens on a film.

Good Luck in post production!!!

Rob, I sjut saw the last video (1st Night), and that sequence looks INCREIDIBLE!!! I loved very much the camrea work, specailly in that huge crane chasing a truck, how it 'jumps' from one side to the next... WOW!!!

Congratulations,mr. Cohen i just wanna watch very soon at least some teaser trailer on january o february

I can't wait to see it. You're an inspiration to future filmmakers across the world, and to people like me who wanted to be filmmakers but it didn't quite work out but still get's inspired to live my regular life and support the filmmakers who have made it and are consistantly putting out beautiful art in motion pictures. Good luck in post Rob, you Rock!!

I still can't believe that this film has wrapped. It feels like just last week I read Rob's 1st post! I'm sure before any of us realize it we'll be saying the same thing for when TM3 comes out in August.

Embracing Rick O' Connell with an even greater passion?!? That sounds exciting! I know I'd love the character to matter what or who's hands there in (as long as it's still Brendan filling his boots) but that statement sounds really promising and exciting!

Thanks again Rob & family, cast and crew for everything!

Love n' Peace - Steven

P.S. Do any of you think there will be a video game for the film? I don't think there will be one but I remember they had one for the 1st two films. It be cool to release one later on where it's just a new Family O' Connell adventure or maybe a Rick adventure that shows what he did leading up to the events of the 1st Mummy movie. (with Brendan of course!)

...oh, and by the way, watch the Inkheart trailer if you haven't already. haha I think this was mentioned already. lol :)

where i can find the teaser trailer of JOURNEY 3-D?, i couldnt find it on youtube.

Hi Mummy Family !!!
Where the heck is the rest of the bunch ??? Anyway...
Steven: Hi dear, needless to say...I agree with you, 100%. This sounds really exciting and promising, and I`m wondering: what, could Rick be EVEN MORE tough, brave, funny, and romantic than ever ??*FAINT* Wooowww...sounds almost impossible! Well...he looks now more handsome than ever, so, why not ?
YES Steven!!! I saw the "Inkheart" trailer ! Don´t you think it´s wonderful ?? Don´t you love HIS voice reading ??? *BIG SIGH*

I vs.R:
The teaser trailer of J-3D
is not online yet; apparently,is just in theaters. It was shown along "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (in Disney Digital 3-D. ) I read it was pretty impressive!!

See ya soon Sis & Bros!!
HELLL YEEAAHH !!! GO TEAM COHEN !!
DeeDee

Hey fam.

You're right, Dee, some of us have been absent recently. I've been busy with finals. But I did see the trailer for Journey 3-D. It was very cool. I saw it attached to Beowulf, but when Brendan was on screen, my dad leaned over and said, 'Mummy 3?' I laughed and said not yet. It was a cool trailer, but I'm not sure I'll definitely see it. Anyone else see it?

Ryan

Rah Rah Rah Rah
T. E. A. M. TEAM.

Jules Verne classic sci fi adventure was adapted into big screen at least twice but i always loved the 1950`s version with james Mason in it. There is a 1976 low bidget movie called AT THE EARTH`S CORE which deals also with two victorian era explorers(Doug McClure and Peter Cushing) who traveled to the center of our planet and they also find a primordial lost land but is not based or any Verne`s work but on a book based by pulp novelist edgar rice burroughs, and the adventurers traveled in some kind of drilling vehicle, althought the beggining of the film was very jules vernian with people in late 1800s clothes witnessing that "iron mole" in awe it was like those very old George Melie`s early cinema such as A TRIP TO THE MOON (1902) or some other (goofy) victorian era sci fi fantasy,LOL LOL

such campiness, isnt?? not even talking abouth how terrible bad are those fx monsters, oh! where is harryhausen`s stop motion when you need him??

Haha, Indy. I love it! Love the cheese! Love it!

I love Ray Harryhausen! Gotta love those Argonauts.

Speaking as someone who made an amateur film last summer... well, okay, I was just IN it, I didn't actually make it... I could really relate to what you said, Rob. Kudos, congrats, and I wish everyone the best of luck in post-production. The film I made wasn't quite magical, but it was ridiculously fun, and I know that M3 went above and beyond anything my experiences could ever hope to match up to.

I'll be checking back for those updates, Mr. Cohen. Don't keep us waiting too long!

Go Team Cohen!

hey willow wath is abouth your film?

"not one actor or stuntman was hurt"

Glad you didn't kill anyone this time!

is alex pettyfer playing a part in this film?

Oh, Ryan, thanks...I´m going to see Beowulf...right now !( eerr...I´m absolutely sure that I´ll definitely see Journey 3D ! Are you surprised ?? LOL LOL )

HELL YEAH! GO TEAM COHEN !!!!

DeeDee

Thanks for keeping the blog! I've been directing folks here for all kinds of goodies. Do keep it up--so ready for Mummy 3!

It was about a college student (played by me) who tried to cast spells on her friends to help them be better people. It backfired and everyone ends up extremely dead. It was loads of fun.

Interesting, Willow. I bet it turns out pretty rad. I just shot a film with my roommate for one of his classes. It had to be in black and white, with no recorded sound. It's just three minutes long. If anyone is interested, the link, just click my name. Any feedback, would be appreciated. I show up in the second half. Everybody, keep on trucking.

And, Dee, if you do see it. It is a very cool trailer. The 3-D is pretty staggeringly cool.

Chow,
Ryan

Yay, TEAM

My internet connection... IT'S ALIVE... ALIVE!! Phew!! Last week was a pretty long one without this blog, lemme tell ya. I missed my Mummy fam all too often. But it doesn't matter now, I have a new laptop and a new passion for this Mummy blog. I'm back!!

First off, Rob thanx for another wonderful update. I love how you speak with such pearls of wisdom and intelligence. I can't wait to continue the journey along with you on part 2 of the M3 production. I look forward to more interesting vids and blogs soon. Keep up the high spirits and good work!!

Now on to Mummy Fam. Howdy Ho Everyone!! Did you guys miss me?? LOL. I'm happy you guys kept things going even with that horrid formatting problem on the last thread. GO TEAM COHEN damnit!! LOL. Oh and Ryan, just checked out the flick dude. Really nice shot composition and editing (I really liked all the scenes on the race track), your friend did a good job!! I couldn't figure out which one was you though. LOL. Be sure to let me know if any more vids get posted on Youtube. Aight, I gotta go. Meetings Meetings Meetings!! Blah!! Till next time... which shouldn't be too long (I Promise).

HELLLLL YEAAAA!! GO TEAM COHEN!! (THAT FELT GOOD. LOL)

Cloudy, you're a good man. Thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to tell the chef you liked it.

I was the guy with the glasses. I don't always wear my glasses, but the director thought it was a nice touch. Thanks for the feedback, pal.

Ry

If anyone else has any videos, load 'em up. I'm sure we'd all love to see them.

OOhhhhMyyyyGooooodnnneeesss!!
He´s alive ! He´s ( or seems to be )sober ! And above all...HE´S OUT OF JAIL !!
Welcome back Captain Cloudy ! We missed you Sir !!
But...uh...I have to report something Sir, you see,we had to do some... errr...little changes... ummm...You know, we needed a leader... so...ahmmm...since you were MIA, some Legionnaire got promoted. He is our Captain now.Ummm... his name is Rick something... He is a nice guy ( a nice BIG guy, actually) but don´t worry Cappie...I will spare you needless embarrasment...I´ll take care of this irregular situation...I´m gonna talk to him, saying that now that you are back, you must be in charge again Sir...Cappie, we are practically firing the poor Legionnaire... eehhh...do you mind if I keep him...PRETTY PLEASE !!!!???? LOL LOL LOL

Double-D

HEELLLL YEEAAHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!

Yes, Cap, you must've been on reconnaissance for quite some time. Nothing too dangerous I hope?

HI! my brother and I are fans of The Mummy, specially of the O'Connells. We want to ask when will pass the first official trailer of the movie. We hope that very soon...
Saludos desde México.

I'll get to see the finished product after new years, Ryan. The producer/directer/filmmaker/PR/media person just released the promo flier. She's trying to sell the film to some place in New York. I can't wait to see it myself. They are making a trailer soon, and I expect it will be on youtube. When it goes up I'll include a link.

Hi Family. Sorry I've been away for ages. Nothing to do with Captain Cloudy, I hasten to add.LOL. Just some horrible flu that has had me feeling dreadful. No matter, getting better day by day.
Rob, thanks for the update. You have a way of making us feel right there with you. Family is so important, no matter where we find that special bond. You don't have to be related. Look at all of us.LOL. How cool is that! Looking forward to hearing how things go in post but know you will do an awesome job.
Kyle - glad you love Father Ted. It's genius. Just goes to show that true comedy is universal. Check out the IT Crowd from the same writers. I think you'll like it.
To everyone else in our wonderful family - you are all very special.
GO TEAM COHEN!!!!
Suzie

Yes, definitely let us know when it is out. That should be very cool to see.

Ditto to that, Suze. Doesn't it seem like he is just talking directly to you when he writes his blog?

Team Team Team

Ry

I'm so happy! I could just imagine everything in your post. The film is going to be great, and you sure make all of us feel special =D Good luck in post production!

I do look foward to seeing Journey, Inkheart, and, TM3, of course! They all look enjoyable.

I've been wondering what the poster for TM3 will look like. I hope Brendan's on it (lol)! I hope we get to see what it looks like soon. I know the Indy IV poster was revealed already along with The Dark Knight.

...and when are we getting a teaser trailer?!? haha.

Peace 2 all - Steven :)

The Indy poster its very look like TEMPLE OF DOOM, you know, with Dr. Jones standing in front from an eerie light at some ancient ruins but now with a ghostly skull behind him. Harrison looks pretty good for a sixty something guy pretending to be a man in his mid 50s and from wath i heard in he can make some of his own stunt action scenes, hey! defintely he is not a "relic which belongs to a museum",

abouth the cystal skulls the legend says they came from a much higher lost cvilization and were adopted by the mayans and aztecs for his psychic abilyties and are capable to heal or kill. They were found in the 1920s in Honduras by some english archaelogist whose name i cannot remember now but i know he was obsessed with such mythical lost civilizations like Atlantis and Lemuria.
There is lots of these skulls but nobody is sure which are the "true" ones.

here i found some info on youtube

David C

Hi everyone. The radiant Cohen warrior is at home! I had a bit of a bug too but am now recovered. I hope everyone else is well again.
I guess everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas. David babes, go out and look at the pretty, twinkly lights and I'm sure it'll make you feel more Christmassy. It certainly makes me feel in the mood for Christmas.
DeeDee, Hi sweety. I hope you get something nice in your Christmas stocking (like a certain big guy....or at least a DVD with him on). Everyone else HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!
I know it isn't till next week but I may be too busy doing last minute preparations next weekend to check in.
Ryan, I checked out your video. I always thought that some of the muggers I've seen running away in London would have been great as athletes. They run like the wind! Nice to see what you look like.

Yes, the Christmas Season is here! As is the Holiday Season, for the politically correct people out there. It is inching slowly but surely to Christmas and New Year.

Maz, thanks for watching. The glasses were a bit much, but yes, that is what I look like. lol A face to a name, right? I like to think I would've been able to catch one of those bugger muggers in London, even though I couldn't keep up with this one.

Dee, you are right. We are getting lazy. Everyone must think that there won't be any updates anymore now that it's wrapped. And, I know! This Mummy is definitely, most likely, hopefully going to rock!!!
And, SciFi channel was okay, but you can't beat that DVD. Too many commercials on TV and far inferior quality. And the DVD has the gag reel. Damn! I relaly should've watched my DVD!

David, good to hear from you again. No need to apologize. We all get busy! Enjoy those movies. I enjoyed the first. A lot of fun.

Til, next time.
Ry

Team.

Awww and a Merry Christmas to you too dear Maz, actually to all of you my Mummy family !

Hey, "Radiant" Sister ! What´s up ? Are you still strong enough as to watch without lose your conscience the new Inkheart trailer ?? LOL Just do it Sis...OMG OMG ( I´m sure you did it already, BTW...mmmmyesss...I think that his voice is sort of...mmm...nice...it works... OMG OMG OMG...definitely melts my heart, so badly !! LOL )

Hello David Bro..." humbugged" ??Nope, darling...I don´t even wanna hear that you are feeling like that ( HA! specially cuz I had to take my dictionary, cuz I didn´t know what the heck you were meaning with that word, dammit ! LOL LOL LOL )Seriously no, honey, take clever Maz´s advice: go out,see the twinkly lights, don´t you love Xmas trees?, sing some Xmas carols...you surely will feel more "Christmassy" ...and everything will just " keep getting better and better "

( eerr Maz,aaww, yes, I hope I will have something nice underneath my Xmas tree...and of course, after reading your wish, I started to sing on my mind " All I want for Christmas is you"...and of course, I don´t need to tell you who...uummhh... never mind...I know you get my drift...LOL LOL LOL )

Hey Ry, I liked your video !! Why did you say "The glasses were a bit much " ?? No, no, they make you kinda " mysterious "...I like it !

OK Family...I hope I´ll see you all soon ( hey, all of you...move your fingers, lazy bunch !! LOL )

DeeDee

Hello Mummy Fam!! Just checkin' in quickly while I have a wireless signal. I'm still alive (and sober for the moment) but this whole Christmas shopping thing is truly getting tiresome. I've also been decorating my house like a mad man for the past week and soon I'll have to go to my grandmother's beach house and help her with even more decorations. My birthday's coming up on the 31st too (I'll be 22... WOO-HOO!!), so who knows how sporadic my posts will be in the coming weeks. I'll do my best to stay in touch even if it's not every day. Just keep hope alive for me, and have some very Happy Holidays. Gotta Jet!!

HELLLL YEAAA!! GO TEAM COHEN!!

DeeDee, You guessed my guilty secret....excessive watching of the Inkheart trailer!! I love to listen to the voice too but I have to be sensible...too much stimulation could result in a meltdown of my brain cells.
Captain, you busy young thing you. Happy birthday for the 31st. I suppose you'll get wrecked that night. Stay away from the dirigible though. You know what happened last time you were drunk in charge.
David, Have you been out in search of some twinkly lights yet? No you can't take the dirigible to search for the lights!!!!

hey everyone good to hear from you all delilah huni your ight we need to try and keep our fingers busy and keep our wonderful site alive sorry you had to check your dictionary huni but i think thats cool english is my first and only language and i have never looked up the meaning to humbugged lol your cool huni.
maz pet glad to hear your doing well huni your right those litle twinkling lights are great and christmassy they make me feel really young again i think i sorta lost touch with the whole christmas thing the last few years it just floats by lol i need to get more involved i thinks its just that christmas isn't what it was when i was a child and i know i'm still young just the changes mad me lose the spirit of it alittle but i'll get it back hope you all have a great christmas Cohen warriors. lucky you told me not to take that dirigible maz huni i was just about to go pick up clouded reality and the rest of the boys Ryan, Steven, indy v Rick and that to go look at the stars above some very unscrupulous places lol it would have been fun but your right we should all heed you advice we would just get in trouble you know start by getting drunk then there would probably be belly dancers or some other sort of exotic woman and then there would just be alot of mishaps you know nakedness,...robbery,...arson,...high speed chases,...police,...jaws of life then a hefty little bail bill for the lot of us either that or some sort of ransom money would be needed lol so better to stay home. we boys do get carried away when we're on a dirigible adventure lol.
ok delusion over where was i...aww aye MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone hello to my mummy bros and suzie hi sis how you been hope you re well.
k i need to go to bed i think i may be running abit of a fever lol that would explain my delusions and hallucinations lol
aww i need to sleep k i'm away talk later people.
lets see how delusional you can all get this festive season lol
later days
HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!
peace out
David C

please, who is doing the soundtrack for this movie? Jerry Goldsmith did a good job for these films but now he had passed away and the cultural setting of the story has changed for that am triyng to imagine how could be the MUMMY`s 3 sountrack, it should be very epic feeling, very eastern style off course

Hi Family !!How are you, my beloved Sis and Bros?

OK, I know I use to be kinda..." fussy"... And I use to say " hey, don´t talk about other movies...go back to the main subject of this board"...So, now, forgive me, but I´m gonna mention another movie ( the leading man of TM3 is in it, anyway... what a surprise ...LOL ! )Besides...I´m doing a public service here...gotta help a Sister of ours...a glowing Sis...LOL...Actually, I´m going to help with the meltdown of her brain cells.LOL LOL. Maz, ( and the others, if you want to, of course) go to youtube, and check the Official Trailer of The Air I Breathe, girl:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUfMofMJTkc

Just a "light", fleeting glimpse of " the" scene with SarahMG...but OMG ! And don´t even get me started about his voice...OMG ( Take care of that poor brain of yours, honey...Mine is totally smashed already. And I don´t wanna think about how destroyed KL´s mind must be LOL)
Enjoy it !!!

DeeDee

HELLLL YEEAAAHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!!

Oh God DeeDee!!!! My brain has just got fried!!!! I hadn't seen that version. Roll on 2008!!! I can't wait to see this film......and all the others that are released next year. They'll be dull thuds all over the place (the sound of Brendan's fans collapsing with exhaustion after getting an overkill of the Big Guy.... too much excitement).

hey everyone
quick one here i started my new job today i'm at it now its great being behind a computer at a job its feels better than my last job but i can't really write now so i'll be back later stay cool everyone.
talk later
peace
GO TEAM COHEN!!!

p.s steven you have been itching for ages for a trailer like we all have but you have been persistant for a while but i do think your right bro we do need a trailer now it is time maybe rob will surprise us all for one for christmas but as you guys no perfection takes time i'd sooner wait alittle while longer than get it now for it to look rushed take it easy robby we can wait for a job well done.
talk later everyone
David C

Okay, seriously, when are we getting a trailer? We have one for so many of the summer films already and I think we really need one for TM3! I believe the Indy 4 teaser's coming next month (Indiana vs Rick, you can correct me on that one lol jk). But besides us we need the public who may not be as aware to see something "teasing" their interest!

...and how about a poster as well!?! The Indy 4 poster looks very cool. Yes, we still have 8 months but, come on, can't you see I'm dying here! :(

LOL - Steven

haha your right, david c. we do NEED one soon. i wish all the best for you & your new job.

Steven :)

Hi!
We want trailer! The first part is ready, trailer time now...

I'm not very good with photoshop, but I'm doing a wallpaper with all photos that I have form TM3. I can show it to all of you when it's finished.

HELLLL YEEAAAHHH!! GO TEAM COHEN !!

Steven i know the Indy 4 teaser will be on february at the superbowl, it will be a little confusing if Paramount`s do this cuz if THE MUMMY 3 teaser comes too i think there will be some confusion cuz both movies are from the same genre but depends how Paramount studios will do the marketing for his film and how they will present the images of this Indy 4 teaser and how Universal excecutives will show a new Rick O`Connel`s adventure but i think that the assured success of Indy 4 will give the oportunity to THE MUMMY 3 to be a box office hit cuz lots of people after watching Ford again in action they will be hungry for much more of this kind of films, this, the fans behind this franchise and how good will be EMPEROR`S TOMB story will assure the biggest smashing hit of the Summer, believe me.

a little off topic:
Does anyone have seen I AM LEGEND? i have not seen it yet and i wanna know if its worth my 15 or 20 bucks next weekend

Sup Everyone!!? Just stopping by to chime in on all this trailer talk that's been going on... I hate to say it, but I have to disagree with everyone on their need to have the trailer now. In my opinion, I think that seeing the trailer now would be far too early. It would be like spoiling your dinner or something. LOL. I mean, we have plenty of pics and videos to go by until Universal decides to open the flood gates... so why can't we just enjoy what we have instead of wanting so much so early. TM3 should already have a buzz by now anyway, so why can't we hold off a little while longer?? I do agree with Steven on one thing though, a poster would be nice though. I just read an interview with Jasin Boland via Jane's M.Y. website and I would love to see how his images will be put together. I would also like another update and post-production vid too, I'm more excited for those than I am about seeing the trailer right now. I don't wanna overkill my excitement. OK. That's it, that's my opinion the whole "trailer" thing. Gotta Go!!!

HELLLL YEAAA!!! GO TEAM COHEN!!!

P.S. Indy vs. Rick, My big bro caught I AM LEGEND this weekend and he said it was pretty good... was it worth 15-20 bucks though?? I don't know. Alot of people have been saying the visual effects weren't really up to par. I guess you'll just have to judge for yourself. Aight, Peace.

hi!
I'm a fan of your movies.
I'm sure this one will be another great movie!
Congratulations for the blog!
Bye!

LOL. Sounds about right to me Indy. I love that "in 2008 adventure will be resurrected" line. That's Money!! You forgot to mention the Yeti, the Michelle vs. Jet Li fight and avalanche scenes though, that's what I'm really waiting for. I'm wondering what the Yeti and Terra Cotta warrior designs will be like. Not to mention the fact that Jet Li will do some shapeshifting. Damnit!! There goes that whole over excitement thing. Lemme calm down and get some sleep. Gotta early one tommorrow. G'night Cohen Warriors. Captain Out!!

HELLLL YEAAA!! GOOOO TEAM COHEN!!

Damn Time Machine. LOL!!

thanks, cloude, am trying to avoid disapointments at the theater. For the MUMMY 3 trailer i can imagine this:

A grand opening view of Emperor Shi Huang`s palace fade into black (dramatic music, off course) when we see Jet Li`s character being condemned to a terrible curse and all his men`s army turning into statues, fade into black and we heard the solemn narrator`s voice "in 2008 adventure will be resurrected" cut to some explosive action sequences; Brendan`s shooting with his two revolvers, the living mummies of the emperor`s concubine falling over Alex trying to kill him, O`Connel and Evie kissing at each other with the epic scope China`s landscape image behind them.
"August 2008"

ok Clouded Reality i have to applaude you on that post i had goosebumps i could just imagine the trailer you are brilliant bro i do have to agree with you if we get a trailer now we might lose interest it should be our climactic finish to our months of waiting...well next to the movie itself we should wait and as i said before the trailer will only be better if we wait until the movie is more cut together rather than just lifting bits and pices from the piles of film.
but i think i will have alittle go at what i think the trailer would be like i will have a little think and get back to you all i think mine would be more showing a few clips from the old movies and link into the new one with what changes there will be. its in my head but wont go to print lol i'll try.
Thanks Steven bro for the best wises in my new job its working well more comfortable although it not a great week to be starting with Christmas next week and my sister was taken into hospital yesterday her water broke, Yes she pregnant and the babys almost here as i write this she is in the labour ward waiting for it to happen i will let you all know how it turns out as i become an uncle for the first time it weird lol.
KK I'm at work on my lunch break so i'm trying to pass the time till i get going again i have to go when i finish and buy nyself a playstaion 3 my parents are paying for most of it as my christmas present so that will be fun.
K think i have procrastinated enough need to go I'll check back in later hope you are all well mummy family, where are the girls today hi girls where you at.

HELL YEAH GO THE WARRIORS OF TEAM COHEN!!!

Hello gang!

Sorry for my absence recently. My Delorean broke down on me and was stuck in 1955 for a while, and couldn't program the flux capacitor to come back any other day besides today, which was kind of unfortunate because I missed out on a lot of days shopping for presents. Oh well, I see the time machine here has been working just fine.

Dee, thanks for the input. I never thought about it and I guess you're right. The glasses are a bit mysterious. lol No wonder when I wear them people on the subway don't stare at me. Ehh, they're probably just crazy people.

No more crazy than us people here, though! I think Inheart looks really promising, too. At first I thought it looked cheesy, but, it should prove to be fun.
David, all us guys are going to hop in that dirigible and go crusing for chicks! And then girls on here can come too. We don't descriminate! But you are correct in assuming it would be a time filled with debauchery and laughs.
Indy, I love that talk about soundtracks. My ipod is chock full of them. Goldsmith did a great first score, and Silvestri's score for the second is one of my all time favorites. So rousing. I can't wait to see what Edelman does for the new one. It should be epic and it should have a lot of great subthemes, especially a love theme.
Steven, I love the Indy poster. That is some nice promotion art. We DO need a trailer soon! Not till the new year, so I've heard.
Cloudy, that is a damn good line. I love it. Resurrected! Brilliant.
And I saw I Am Legend. Liked it a lot. Not what I expected at all, and better. Very compelling. And The Dark Knight trailer was on it. Who's watched it? It is a really kick ass trailer.

Sorry for the long post. I had to catch up.

Love you all,
Ryan

I enjoyed I Am Legend IMAX very much. I saw it on Friday and it was crowded. (But, hey, it's Big Will & NYC!) I really can't wait to see The Dark Knight but I also really can't wait to see TM3...TRAILER, POSTER, AND/OR!!! When is it coming, Rob, Kyle, anyone?!!? lol Whenever it comes I know it'll be worth the wait.

If you've gone to Michelle Yeoh's Web Theatre you've definitely have read about Jasin Boland's work on TM3. I can't wait to see these images, especially for promotion and marketing purposes.

Peace n' Love :) Steven

Hey Guys!
Well, David dear, I bet all the girls are pretty darn busy with alllll this Xmas stuff...at least " this" girl is, LOL. Talking about procrastination ? Hey that´s my second name LOL! I have to do yet all-I mean ALL- the shopping related to Xmas!! Yayyyaaayyy!!...And a lot of work to do, darn it...David I´m so glad that you are feeling comfortable in this new job honey...and congratulations Uncle D2!!I hope everything is OK with your Sis and the little baby ! Please let us know...

Hey Cappie, I miss our delusional chats! :D

Ry, I LOVE the whole " Back to the Future" series...And the 1955 moment, is the better to be stuck in ,IMHO ( Hmmm...I guess I have some " past life" memories related to those years...Oh Gosh...I really should try some " Past Life therapy" LOL)

mmmOK...so I won´t ask for a TM3 trailer ( eventhough the anticipation is almost cooking my poor brains on a low flame...LOL ) but yes Steven...a poster at least...a teeny tiny clip...a teeny tiny little teaser...SOMETHING !

AAwww well... I´m feeling like Imhotep ( I never eat, I never SLEEP, I never stop LOL ) So gotta go now...
See ya soon Family !
DeeDee

Ryan, am truly sure you will be first on line to watch NATIONAL TREASURE 2 next friday,LOL. The firs NATIONAL TREASURE was an ok treasure hunting, altought am not a nic cage fan, the second one looks much better anf i saw in the trailer a scene which reminded me that old Hitchcock film NORTH BY NORTH WEST were Cage is hanging over the top of Mount Rushmore just like Cary Grant escaping from the villains (whose boss is the great James Mason) in the last scene of the Hitchcock`s suspense thriller i think thats the way they wanted to make this new NATIONAL TREASURE, paying hommage to those old action/intrigue movies just like PLUNDER OF THE SUN (1953) or THE MALTESE FALCON (1941),yeah, am some freaky "TCM" fan, lol.

Ahh, Indy. My favorite Hitchcock movie is North By Northwest. It is so fantastic. I'll watch anything with Cary Grant. I'm with you, though, I think they will tip their caps to some treasure movies along the way, and I think this one will be an improvement.

Dee, I love BTTF. I'm glad you picked up on all my references! You are totally right: 1995 is way better than the future. Although, I love 1885! The third one is so underrated. And, yeah. Give us a picture, a clip, a snippet, a teaser with absolutely no footage whatsoever, just something to whet our appetites! [Deep breath.] And I enjoyed the Ardeth Bay reference.

What is everyone's plans for over the holiday?

Ryan

David, there is not many tv stations showing some old movies where you live, isnt? i tell you this cuz it reminds me last time i was talking with an aussie girl abouth detective novels and she mentioned THE MALTESE FALCON which, first of all is a book by Dashiel Hammet and later was adapted in a popular 1940s classic film starring Humphrey Bogart, i mentioned that movie to her and she told me that she never knew there was a movie abouth that book and she asked me when it will be released!! i told her she was too late for the premiere, because it was made more than 60 years ago!!LOL, sorry o couldnt resist that but i wondered that she even never heard of that movie (or who on earth is Bogart) and she told that aussie tv stations doesnt show anything which is much older than 20 years ago. Not mocking to you but thats happened to me a lot of times when i chatted with some aussie movie buffs.

Does anyone from Australia could tell me why the Australian tv channels doesnt shows something which is in black and white, or at least, in technicolor? LOL

here is a movie clip i wanna share

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8-eBXmXFjmo

and here is another from NORTH BY NORTH WEST where Cary Grant gets involved in some international conspiracy
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8-N0ebK9sEw

hey indy v rick
i dn't live in Australia bro i live in Ireland alot of stations here do show films from more than 20 years ago alot in Technicolour and even some in black and white i will admit they do like to stick to movies alittle more up to date i'm sure they play more older movies than i realise i truthly don't look out for them and if i see them on i do not stop to think so i think this is the real reason i don't know about them, i only really watch movies on dvd tv movies i dont really entertain even the ones on the movie channels on digital you see i have a very big family so getting priority over the tv in the main room is very difficult lol and unfortunately i do not have digital in my room....yet lol.
k bros gotta be back later probably
peace
go team cohen.

even you can do some good research on your local video store, i found some really cool movies from the 30s and 40s like "lost horizons" and "treasure of sierra madre", not to mention some great action packed war films from that era, off course, most of them are propagandistic ones, you know for the time they were released, but surely are truly entertaining, and in some way, they give us an idea of the situation which lived our grandparents during WWII era, i recomend you BATAAN starring ROBERT TAYLOR as rough sargent and his men defending the Phillipines against the 1941-42 japanese offensive, the hand to hand combat scenes are not graphically brutal like you could see in some recent war movies, but certainly they show us the fiery combat at that time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9b33e96IGo

hi people
indy v rick i had a little look at that vid but i have to say it is that type of film which i would turn over on the tv i know its probably a great show but im really not into John Wayne movie no disrespect to the man i know he is a legend but i just think about my daddy and and my granda watching those type of john wayne movies on a sunday morning they were mostly western and although i didnt hate them they would not be my desired viewing choice,
i was just wondering i know this is a really ignorant and disrespectful question and i shouldn't ask so feel free to tell me to mind my business but what age are you Indy v rick? I'm not implying i think your old but i don't know anyone under 30 who is as into old movie as you are, as i said i know i shouldnt ask but some people dont mind so feel free to tell me to mind my own.
anyway where is everyone christmas really does take over everyones life doesnt it i dont know if its a good thing or not its just sorta flying past me this year.
Whats everyone doing? How are all you guy celebrating christmas its interesting to ask as we all live in different parts of the world.
KK enough said from me i do ramble don't i better go time well spend at work for another day better go be back later.

David, you're right. This Christmas thing is all encompassing, isn't it? I can't wait until Christmas Eve.
Dee, I am pretty jealous of you. It is 32 degrees here in NY, too. Only it's farenheit! My and Dave are freezing our buns off, and you are probably drinking mohitos by the beach. lol That's pretty cool, being hot at Christmas.

And posting on a PSP?!?! Very schnazzy, David.

Ryan
Team Christmas! I mean Cohen!

Hi Team Cohen. Your radiant friend is back home for the weekend. It's been minus 1 in England thanks DeeDee. I put my Christmas tree up yesterday with lovely twinkly lights (I love twinkly lights). I'll be having a treatment on Christmas Eve, then two days rest and back again for my last two treatments. I won't need Christmas lights. I'll be able to light up the whole street when they've finished with me.
David, I'm fine but very tired. Thanks for asking sweetie.
Christmas will be an eating fest in our home. Me and my two sisters, chomping our way through all the goodies and dieting for the rest of the year. Lots of the houses in our street have decorated their windows with multi coloured lights and it is a delight to drive along at night.
I hope you are all enjoying the run up to Christmas. I am, but it is so nice to not have to go to the hospital for two whole days.
Seasons greetings to everyone out there, who might be reading this but haven't yet posted here.
Of course I wish a very happy Christmas and New Year to the Fraser family. I can just imagine those three boys and their dad on Christmas Day....up at 5am and ready to play! Well, maybe not their dad so much but I'm sure he'll drag himself out of his bed to witness the delight of little excited faces, as they open their presents. It is all about children. Seeing them so happy.
Rob, can I also wish you, Barbara and Kyle a happy Christmas too. Don't work too hard. Everyone deserves a break now and then.
Finally can I wish Team Cohen a very happy Christmas. Not too much drunkeness Captain Cloudy. You don't want to spend the holiday in jail.
David, I'm glad the new job suits you better. See, we told you it would be alright.

Hey, my Christmassy Mummy Family !!
Hello Maz, my dear !! I´m sorry to hear that you are feeling tired girl !But the end of that nasty treatment is near, honey, and then you will be ABSOLUTELY fine !And I will quote our dear Rob "She is a light being. She glows from within , even in sunlight " Well, he said that about Michelle Yeoh, but I´m sure it applies to you too ( so, stop saying that you glow just because of the therapy, LOL ) We love you Maz...I´m sure we all are praying for you...

Hey David and Ryan...yes, my Xmas is not " typical" at all...I did have a few Xmas with cold and snow ( my dad was Italian, and he loved to went back to Italy for the Christmas Time...sigh...)But I do love summer, so it´s OK.
Uncle David, Sarah is a beautiful name...did you meet the cutiepie, finally?

LOL no, Ry, I´m not drinking mohitos, but tons of diet soda...and I´m not on the beach...but pretty soon ( I hope...) I will be sunbathing on the deck of the swimming pool! YES!! Holiday season here!! At last...LOL !
OK, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Team Cohen, including my Mummy Family, cuz of course, we are part of the Team !! LOL
HELLLL YEAAAHHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!!
DeeDee

Ah, Maz, that's terrible. Christmas Eve is like the best day of the year. Hopefully it doesn't take too much out of you. You need your strength for opening presents! Dee is right. You are almost done. Stay strong, madame.

Haha, Dee, I like that: Uncle David. I might stick with that...Sunbathing, hmm. I like how you nonchalantly put that in there while the rest of us are at Blizzard Beach.

Bye for now,
Jolly Old Saint Ryan

Merry Team Cohen!

Hello. I saw National Treasure 2 on Friday and I liked it. I thought the first one was better but this one was entertaining. It did leave me wanting something TM3 related though. A poster or teaser pleaaaase!!! lol.

Anyways, I hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and are having a great holiday season.

-Steven

P.S. Please update the blog soon Rob. Thank you. haha.

DeeDee, I'm doing fine here so don't worry.

The Night Before Christmas... at the Mummy Blog!!

Re-Worded by: Clouded Reality

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through this blog.
Not a creature was stirring, because the trolls had all gone.
The Cohen Camp was peaceful and the sky was fair, the stars twinkled happily for they knew St. Rick would soon be there.
The Captain was nestled all snug in his bed, while visions of exotic women danced in his head;
And Delilah in her kerchief and Maz in her cap,
Had just settled down with the rest of the Cohen Warriors for a long winter's nap.
When outside the tents there arose such a clatter,
It sounded like Imhotep, except bigger and badder.
Away from his tent,
The Captain flew like a flash,
Well not before taking a sip from his alcohol flask.
Outside the moon rested on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Giving a lustre or glow to the objects below,
And what to The Captain's eyes should appear,
But a shapeshifting mummy who had awaken from a slumber of two thousand years.
He had an army with him; made of stone or some clay type sh*t,
The Captain knew at that moment he would need the help of his troops and good Ol' St. Rick.
Go Team Cohen!!! The Captain proclaimed,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called his soldiers by name;
Come on Maz and Dee Dee, David, Kyle and Steven,
Let's Go Suzie, Indy, and Ryan... Let's take down these heathens!!
From the tip of our highest hill, to bottom of our lowest wall,
We must thrash away and smash away, until we have vanquished them all!!
So like dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
We must assemble at the dirigible, and mount to the sky!!
So up into the moonlight, the soldiers they flew,
With an arsenal of weapons... and a few belly dancers too.
Then, in a twinkling the battle began,
The Captain and his cadets against The Dragon Emperor and his terra cotta clan.
Explosions and bullets of all shapes were abound,
But the enemy forces were not going down.
When in out of nowhere, came strangers with a heroic look.
St. Rick and the O'Connells stood their posing, like something straight from a comic book.
A bundle of presents, St. Rick picked up and flung on his back,
And told The Captain and his soldiers to sit back and relax.
He dropped gifts down to the bad guys who snarled all evil and scary,
But as they opened their gifts they became happy and merry.
The Dragon Emperor, whose mouth was once drawn up like a bow,
Now had tears in his eyes, for he had found peace in his soul.
His army had calmed and their swords were now sheathed,
and The Cohen Warriors returned to the ground, both happy and relieved.
All was right with the world, their enemies were now jolly as elves.
Thanx to Ol' St. Rick and the O' Connell's help.
THE END.

LOL!! It was pretty fun putting that together but WOW, I'm tired... I can't even go on any longer. LOL. Well anyways, MERRY CHRISTMAS MUMMY FAMILY!! It's 12:30AM where I'm at so I'm gonna go get some shut eye before present opening time. Hope you guys like the poem. LOL. See Ya!!

HELL YEAAA!! GO TEAM COHEN!!

The captain has yet more hidden talents. That was fantastic Captain!!! Just what was needed on Christmas Day.
Have a good day......and not toooooo much debauchery....We need you strong and alert in case of attack.

Here's an original by me:
When Santa got stuck up the chimney,
He got such a terrible fright.
He wriggled and wedged himself further,
But he couldn't stay there all night.

The children would be disappointed,
They were waiting, all tucked up in bed,
For Santa to leave their presents,
But he was stuck fast instead.

One elf had a good idea,
With oil, he greased round Santa's girth,
Then he pushed and shoved with all his might,
Till Santa flopped down, full of mirth.

If you woke up on Christmas morning
And the fireplace was all full of muck,
Now you know what it was that had caused it,
It was your home where SAnta got stuck.

Santa went on a diet that year.

Merry Christmas Mummy Family!

Love 'n Peace,
Steven :)

Maz darling...nice to see you dear...you are so darn brave and INCREDIBLY funny, I loved your poem( gotta check the fireplace...LOL )

And you Captain...I love you Sir ! That " re-worded" tale was terrific...(awww...sweetie... just...don´t mention " a long winter´s nap " in the same context you mention Rick...hmmm...you know...that could make the girls (KL, Maz, Suzie ) a little...nervous... LOL. Please notice that I didn´t mention myself...I´m quite beyond those kind of err..disturbing thoughts,as you surely know...yeah right ! LOL ;)

Anyway...again : A merry Christmas to you all and the most Happy and Successful New Year !
GO TEAM COHEN !!!
( Oh, I´m such a good girl...I never curse during Holidays!!LOL )
DeeDee

Just checking in post-Christmas. Captain Cloudy, you've really outdone yourself this time. That poem was astounding and I am honored to be mentioned. I haven't had a good laugh like that in a long time.

And Maz, I liked yours, too. I've been saying Santa should go on a diet for a long time now. ;-) Very cute, though.

I saw the new National Treasure, also. It was completely ridiculous, but a lot of fun. Sweeney Todd is next for me..

To Dee, Steven, David, Indy v. Rick, and everyone else, I hope you had a splendid holiday, and to all a good night.

Ryan

And Suzie, too. Merry Christmas. I apologize for leaving you out of that post. Somehow I always remember something to add just after I've pressed the post button.

Merry Christmas to all my friends here and i wish an awesome new year

Howdy!

Yeah, I had a nice Christmas and so far this holiday season's been good. I do have to admit that I was hoping we'd be getting an update soon but I understand the man's busy. haha. I do hope all of you have been having a good holiday season.

I'm so sorry I haven't commented on the poems! They were so well written and funny. I loved them especially the "St.Rick" line and then the mentions of the "soldiers". That was really great! Thanks.

Alright, that's all for now. Have a great day.

-Steven :)

Hello Everyone, I'm just checkin' in to see what's been goin' on in my absence. Maz, I see you wrote a little ditty yourself. It was really funny too. LOL. I'm glad everyone else liked my little poem as well. I figured if we all couldn't be together to give each other presents on Christmas, I'd make a digital gift for everyone to enjoy. We're still family darnit!! LOL. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas too, and I'm hoping that everyone has an even better New Years. I am gonna be really intoxicated for the next several days, so excuse me if this is my last post till after my b-day. Hopefully it won't be though. Once 2008 hits though, it'll be back to the good old delusional glory days. Adios Amigos!!

HELLL YEAAA!! GO TEAM (WHERE THA HECK IS ROB??) COHEN!!

P.S. I just remembered... DO NOT GO SEE ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM!!! It was, by far, the worst movie I've seen this year. The cinematography was too dark and gloomy, the action scenes were WAAAAAAY too frenetic and choppy, and the acting was excessively mundane. Save your MONEY!!

Hiya everyone,
Well Christmas is over and I only gained three pounds. Back to reality today and careful eating.
Thanks for the tip Cloudy. I'll avoid the film (not that it is the kind of film I'd choose to see anyway...I'm more a family film type myself or "Sixth Sense" type if I want something scary).
I've been looking at the Brendan pics on the hungarian fan site. There are over seven thousand of them. Periodically I go and trawl through some of them (it's a hard job but somebody has to do it). It keeps me occupied when I'm bored anyway. There are some nice ones of him with his family and quite cute ones with Griffin. There are also some embarassing ones (you know the baby ones a guy wouldn't want his Mom to show to his first girlfriend). Poor Holden gets to have the world see his baby photos in his birthday suit. I'm sure he'll hate that when he grows up. There are also ones of Brendan as a little boy.
Well, upwards and onwards. It's a busy day for me today.
I'm off to the hospital again.
I'll check in later.

Thanks, Cloudy. I had thought possibly it would be better than the first AVP, but it looks like not. I thought the first one was really bad, and this one is probably just as bad. lol Too bad. I love 'Predator' and I love the first two 'Alien' movies. Especially 'Aliens.' My favorite.

And, Maz, I know! I am a diabetic, and the holiday season is never a good time for eating! Gaining three pounds is pretty good, all things considered.

Bye for now,
Ryan

Team!

This is sad news. I'm not sure if any of you have read that Brendan Fraser and his wife are separating. You'll definitely be able to find more of this news online. I feel bad but I do wish him and his wife all of my best wishes as I'm sure all of you do as well.

Steven

Steven,
Yes the news on the net is that they are seperating. God, what a shock!!!! I did wonder how they maintained a good relationship long distance when Brendan is away filming. I really hope they are able to be on friendly terms for the sake of their children. Crikey, I'm really shocked!!!!
Delilah, Suzie, KL I think I need some help with the shock. Anyone got the smelling salts?

Maz,yes, I read it yesterday :( ... I´m really sad and definitely shocked too ; but I think that we shouldn´t do any comment...we just should respect their private life...Well, that´s my humble opinion, at least.
Anyway, Brendan, for what it´s worth, we all hope you are OK, sweetie. We love you, darling.

Maz, how are you feeling dear ? Are you done with the radiation stuff?
Hi, there, the rest of the family ! How are you all ?

Love and Hugs!
DeeDee

Hi DeeDee,
One more treatment and I'm done but I'm told that I shall continue to cook for another couple of weeks afterwards. At least it is going to be over.
Like you, I am hoping both Brendan and Afton are OK. No divorce is completely painless.
I worry about the effect on the children too. Like you say, it is their private business but it is so sad that they feel they have to part.
I'm still reeling from the shock!!!
So I'm sending a big hug to Brendan. Like DeeDee says.....WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Hi Everyone...hope you all had a good holiday... I, too, am very stunned and saddened by the news we've heard, but absolutely don't want to infringe on their privacy. Just want to send a big hug Brendan's way...be well, sweetie...and my best wishes to the whole family at this difficult time.

Maz honey, I hope you're all done with the radiation now, so you can get back to normal soon! That would be a big relief! :)

And David dear, glad to hear you're so much happier at your new job! That's so good!! I'm happy everything worked out for you! :)

And DeeDee Sweetie, about your "warm Christmas"--;) while it's not as hot here as where you are, it's been really darn warm at my place! So I can relate to you, hon...No white Christmases for me...LOL...

BTW, Clouded and Maz, I simply loved your Christmas poetry! Great job!!

And thanks once again to Rob for another wonderful posting...it was so very touching and beautiful. Congratulations to all on the wrap of TM3!!

Hope everyone is well...I'll be back soon (I hope!) Take care!

Love,
KL

P.S. Awww "Uncle David", I forgot to say congratulations on your new little niece Sarah!! That's wonderful!! :) Enjoy the little sweetie!!

Hello rob and family i hope you all had a nice christmas ??
It hasn't been for Brendan and his wife & Children they are going to divorce i felt sad because a couple of years ago i also left my partner after twelf years.I also have three children. But we share co-parenting so i hope they will do the same.
I really wish Brendan Afton and the kids a lot of inner-strenght and lots of love from there family and friends.....

Love,
Anita X

Good morning folks,
Well, if good wishes could cure all, the Fraser family would be fine.
Our thoughts are obviously with them at the moment. We should all send positive energy their way to help them through this difficult time. We've helped each other while we've been posting here so there's no reason we shouldn't do the same for them.
Lots of good wishes to The Mummy family as well.

Amen, Maz...you're right...they are people we truly care about, and maybe our good vibes will send some comfort their way. Our hearts and all our positive energy go out to Brendan, Afton and the boys during this tough time. May 2008 be a year of healing and hope.

Love,
KL

Sorry about the double post...

And Anita, hope you are doing OK after your tough time, sweetie! I'm glad to hear you are co-parenting with your ex, that's so good. Hope you all are doing much better.

Love and Big Hugs,
KL

Hi KL thank you for calling me sweetie that warms my heart ! And i am doing ok now so are my kids.....But i know how difficult the first year is.So indeed lets all send possitive thoughts and love to the Fraser family....

be safe with fireworks !!

Love ,
Anita X

Let's hope 2008 is a better year than last year for everyone we know and/or care about. I have heard so much bad news in 2007 that I'll be glad to leave the whole year behind.
Let's all look ahead with a positive attitude and I'm sure 2008 will be what we wish it to be.

Just thought you may want to know that on comingsoon.net they have Universal's sneak peek at the '08 films. For TM3 they have a new picture that I haven't seen before. It's of Brendan, Maria, and Luke. They're in their suits & she has a dress on. Luke's smiling but Brendan/Rick looks serious. I'm not sure if you've all seen it but if you haven't, check it out! www.comingsoon.net

Steven :)

Hello Mummy Family !

Thanks Steven ! Wowww Bro, what a wonderful pic ! I adore Maria´s dress...it´s a wonderful color, she looks stunning...Rick looks incredibly handsome (Aaaawww and I mean it.Serious or not, the man has a gorgeous face! )
Hi KL honey, it´s so nice to see you here again ( I´ll see you later on the PM-zone, girl)
Maz dear, I agree, let´s hope 2008 is gonna be better than 2007; I honestly can´t complain myself...my " real" family and I, we all had a very good year...but a lot of people I really care about had not :( SIGH. So let´s pray the upcoming year will be absolutely better ! Anyway...this wonderful relationship we all have built, it is certainly meaningful...one of the best 2007´s things!! I really think that we are very good and well-intentioned persons...and our tons of good vibes can encircle and comfort the whole Mummy Family...and that-of course !- includes you Brendan. Be well darling.

GO TEAM COHEN !!!
(told you I don´t curse at Christmas time!! LOL )

DeeDee

PS: Uncle David, how´s Sarah??
Suzie...where the heck are you, Sis?
Cappie...I won´t waste my time talking to you...I´m sure you are totally drunk right now ! LOL LOL LOL

DeeDee, I agree with you that this little family we've built is a positive force and it has helped us through when we've been down. As you say, Brendan is an "honorary" member of our family so we must encircle him with our support (and we intend to do just that).
So Brendan we are all thinking of you right now and hoping you will have a happy future.
Personally, I'm so shocked that I can't believe it. We fans can only offer our support and say how sorry we are that it has come to this.
I reiterate Delilah's words.....be well.

Just found this to be interesting, especially for Indy vs. Rick. There was a video game "Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb" a few years ago which concerned itself with the 1st emperor. It's ironic that TM3 is called "Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." A funny tidbit for all Indy/Rick fans.

Steven

P.S. Indy vs Rick - I bet you already know this! haha lol buddy.

Hello... I am studying Media, Periodism, etc..and I am having the first part of the Cinematography programm, its a pleasure, a warm and cozy sensation to read this insight of yours, Mr. Cohen.

I really will miss Weisz and Vosloo onscreen, for a Mummy Franchise follower, is a bit strange to see that part missing, on the other hand, I have seen a couple of videos and pictures of your shooting, and the film will have splendid takes, great special effects and a very human and touching filmmaking. I am really waiting for this release, I used to be a total Mummy lover, I was 12 years old when the Mummy was released, the perfect age for that kind of adventures... then at 2001 I felt every take from the sequel... now, at 2007, this movie will resurrect not only a Chinese Emperor, but also Mummy spirit in all audience!

Writing novels is art, painting, sculpting, composing... are all art...movie directing is all that! and this work seems to proove it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, and greetings from Mexico!

yeah, i knew the videogame and its awesome but a little far fetched for an Indy`s adventure, altought there is some paranormal stuff in the Indiana Jones saga its not so much present all the story`s plot just at the end when we see how the main villains die, only "TEMPLE OF DOOM" its in a much more fantasy realm than the other movies, but certainly how a "coincidence" its that THE MUMMY 3 deals with the same topic that that Indy`s videogame and i found very funny that O`Connel fight at the end with the same villain but O`Connel use "Krav maga" when Dr. Jones is a traditional fist fighter just like those old B movies

just check this classic "Raiders" scene
http://youtube.com/watch?v=yi-ycquyxbU

Hey Family !...If I´m not wrong...today is our Captain´s B`Day!!!So, Happy Birthday dear Captain Cloudy !! I hope you are celebrating INTENSELY your Day, Sir!!(well, not THAT intensely dear, try to remain alive after it, cuz we need you here! LOL ) Anyway, Bella the belly dancer, aaallllll the gypsies and even the Hawaiian Hula-dancer are alerted...they are going to your party...and get ready for them, cuz they seem to be especially, ummm,"sparkling" these days...maybe it has to do with the many bottles of Champagne that they are carrying in their backpacks!!LOL LOL LOL...Awww...tomorrow is the B´day of a really beloved friend of mine...but she is a serious Lady, like me,LOL LOL...so, I don´t think that you two could celebrate together Cloudy (or maybe I´m wrong, I don´t know LOL )

And how is the rest of the family doing ? KL, I´ll meet you pretty soon on your mail box LOL.
Maz, sweetie, are you feeling better dear? Suzie, Ryan, Kyle, Steven...knock knock...anybody home?

OK I hope that all the Team Cohen is having a well-earned holiday! And a very special hug to my favorite actor...

HAPPY NEW YEAR and GO TEAM COHEN !!!

All our Best Wishes to you all !!
DeeDee

OHHH MYYY GOODNESSSSS!!!! I´m soooo very, very sorry !! I forgot to mention David C !! So, this" Knock knock...anybody home?" is just and specially for you Uncle David... LOL!!
Love and Hugs
DeeDee

Is it too late to say Happy Birthday Capt'n?!? :)

Yeah, the Indy game is fun and I just knew you'd know about it, Indy vs Rick.

David, since you have a PS3 you should play the video game "Uncharted" b/c it has that whole adventure/Rick-sih quality too it.

Okay, have fun tonight and Happy New Year's Eve! I'm trying to figure out what the last movie I watch for 2007 will be and I think I'm kinda leaning towards TM1!

Peace 2 all - Steven :)

Hey pals.

2008 is almost upon us. Now everytime I go to write the year, I will curse myself for writing '2007' instead of '2008.' Oh well.

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well. Many happy returns, Cap.

Steven, that game uncharted looks really cool. I haven't played a current video game since 'GoldenEye' probably, but that one got me interested.

Indy, do you know who played the pilot of that flying wing in Raiders? Love it.

Ladies and gents, be well, and I'll see you in the new year.

Ry

Go Fam. Go.

Happy New Years! Here we go! This is it! The countdown to TM3 begins now and before we all know it we'll have already seen it 5 times and have watched the DVD 15 times!

Love & Peace 2 all 4 2008,
Steven :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!
I hope you are recovered from your various forms of over indulgence at your party Captain and may I wish you a belated happy birthday.
I hope you all enjoyed your new year festivities. There were lots of fireworks where I live so we were outside at midnight, watching them all.
I'm listening to TM1 on my new DVD player, with Brendan's commentary, while posting this . We are at the hanging scene at the moment.
Well chaps, must fly....lots of love and kisses to you all and a special new year kiss and hug to our favourite man.
Maz xxxxxxxx

From Anita ( from tiny Holland ) XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Only 7 months until TM3, friends! I can't wait anymore. We need to see a teaser soon. lol.

Love n' Peace,
Steven :)

And I thought it was women who were impatient. Steven sweetie, you must be patient. Rob has to have Christmas and New Year with his family. After that he might let us see a teaser. Let the poor man have a little break.....then we can nag him to death. Seriously, it would be nice to see a teaser but Rob is a busy man so we must be good little Cohen Warriors and wait until he has time.
Hi Anita. Nice to hear from you again. I seem to be mending nicely. Thanks for your good wishes.
Everyone else.....have you got over your hangovers yet?

HELL YEAH GO TEAM COHEN!!!
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Go Team.

That is all.

Yeah, I've been interested in "Uncharted" for a while and I don't even have the PS3! XBOX is my thing, lol. But, yes, it does look like a really fun game with the whole "adventure" quality. Jak & Daxter was maybe the greatest and most fun I've ever had playing a video game since Duke Nukem. lol, sorry this post has nothing to do with TM3!

Hail to the King,
Steven :) hahaha

Ryan, I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's friend. The survival rate is very good these days so tell her not to worry about what might happen, just deal with what she knows about. Some of the things she might worry about may never happen. If she lets her mind wander too far forward she could be having negative thoughts for no reason. She'll get through it, just as I have done. Keep me posted.
As you have all pointed out, TM3 is almost upon us so I'm sure Rob is furiously working to meet deadlines. It'll be great when he finds time to do another update. In the meantime we'll just have to keep each other occupied. I'm sorry that I can't join in the conversation with you boys about games cos I haven't got a clue what an XBOX is, or anything pertaining to computer games.
I hope you are all keeping well (and sober Cloudy).

Hey Mummy Family !
I hope all the bunch is doing well...I´ve been pretty busy lately...
Hello David dear...you know, you are so right...if somebody can comfort your Mom´s friend is our brave Lady Maz ( Hi you, honey! )And yes, do keep her updated about Maz´s evolution cuz you´ll have to say just positive things !!!...and that will be so encouraging to your mother´s friend...
OK, maybe tomorrow I´ll have more time...
Now, I´m saying good bye...
Big Hugs, Love and Kisses to you all

DeeDee
HELLL YEAHHH!!! GO TEAM COHEN !!

HI everyone

Hey, check out the Michelle Yeoh Web Theatre. It has a few new pictures of on set stuff and they have a pic of John Hannah in his blue tux!

Hello Rob ,

I have a great idea !! Invite your mummy family to the premiere of Mummy 3 ! So you could all meet us in person ! Wouldn't that be great ??We will all behave it's a promise( cause there are some cheeky members of the family, you all know whom i refering to offcourse ?? )And we all will wear our national clothing,NOT that would mean that i had to wear a white cap and wooden shoes and offcourse tulips in one hand and cheese in the other.....No way i would look like an idiot. Only if you insist Rob..We all could bring some presents for the triplets and your wife because she did all the hard work offcourse...
i think we all having a great time !!
What do you reckon family ???
Love,
Anita XX

That's a good idea Anita. Or even if there's a contest set up and whoever wins gets to attend the premiere.

Maybe like "The Biggest Mummy Fan" or some contest like that!?!

First off, I was sorry to hear about that wifey situation Brendan's going through. I wish him the best in any upcoming struggles he may be about to face. David, congrats on the new addition to the family. I've got a niece too so I'll give you some advice... be prepared for a whole lotta
