The idea for this sounds cool, loved The Mummy 1, The Mummy Returns was a bit of faff and Scorpion King is all right, I just hope you can make this good.

Personally I'm just anxious about the replacements you've gotten and the reasoning behind why it isn't Imhotep anymore. I'm a huge fan of Rachel Weisz so I'm a bit upset she isn't in this, she brought a great amount of humour to the part, and Maria Bello is American, let's hope she can speak with a British accent.

I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job, I'm just a bit anxious about where you're taking the franchise...

I like the series of "The Mummy" very much. There is always action and a lot of fun. I'm a little bit sad, that Rachel Weisz will not appear in your movie, but I'm sure that Maria Bello will be fine. The biggest suprise is for me Michelle Yeoh - I like her very much! She's my favourite actress from China.

I agree with some of the others above. Where is Rachel Weisz? I mean if she couldn't do it, or wouldn't do, then that is fine, if the producers made the choice, I am happy not to watch the movie. Brendan and Rachel had a great thing going on screan as Rick and Evy. So to just forget that and grab someone else is annoying.
I would really like an answer to the question (what happened to RW).

I live in far far away from where you live. Indonesia to be exact. I am really exciting to hear that you are helming the Mummy 3 sequels. I always worry that sequels become a crap coz it will b full of overdone SFX, or too many fantastic characters but lack of story and go a bit far from elements that makes the original interesting, as it happened to many sequels recently. (especially the 3rd istallment). But I hope you bring fresh air to the franchise without forgetting the basic soul of it. Can't wait too see your work on this, Sir!

Usually, I don't anticipate upcoming movies to meet my expectations and it seems like I have faith only in Christopher Nolan, but I loved Dragonheart and I think you did a great job with Bruve Lee's story so I'll be happily awaiting The Mummy 3. Hi,

I'm an established actress and stuntwoman, I don't do extra work and I don't do stand-in. But when the opportunity to meet Mr.Cohen and Mr.Armstrong came up, I withdrew from a leading role in one production to become a stand-in on The Mummy 3.

1.The production I withdrew from was pissed (and will not be hiring me again)
2.My agent was pissed (somewhat soothed when paid the commission she would have made)
3. I lost money (obviously there is a huge difference in pay from Principal Actress to stand-in)
4.It was extremely tough on the ego to be treated as a stand-in and it was tough standing in for a role that I auditioned for

BUT it was all worth it...

Just to let you know that I am glad you are doing Mummy3 and with Jet Li at that. He's my favorite actor. By the way I really enjoyed Mummy 1 and 2.I look forward to this moview. More power.

I have a few questions Mr. Cohen. Will we see Jet Li as an actual "mummy"? As in a dried up rotting corpse. If not it would be kind of breaking the tradition of the first two. Also are we going to see the return of the face-in-the-wall-of-something effect introduced in The Mummy? You know, the sand wall in the first and the tidal wave in the second? I would love to see this effect in a firestorm: a wave of fire. Then again this was a power unique to Imhotep so I don't know...

And a couple more things: Why not bring Ardeth Bay back just once more? Maybe he has been banished from the Medjai for breaking their sacred laws by joining in the fight during WWII (the Medjai could have a rule that you cannot interfere in mortal world conflicts), and is now teaming up with Rick once more to try and prove his worth and regain his position as leader of the Medjai. I think it's a cool idea. And is this third movie going to touch on the revelation introduced in RETURNS of Rick being a Medjai himself? Does he join their covert society and follow his (supposed) destiny? These are just continuity questions, I'm not trying to sound skeptical or disapproving.

Other than this, I have read your Synopsis of the film's current plot and I think this is going to be a truly unique thrill-ride, and will certaintly rival Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull next year, I'm sure! I love the idea (Jet Li as a shapeshifting Chinese mummy emperor? Shangri-La? The Yeti!!??? Terra Cotta armies? AWESOME!!!!!) and this sounds like a very promising adventure film in the making. The story is very unique and I applaud you Mr. Cohen for creating what sounds like a real kick-ass flick! Keep it up!

My sons and I are very excited to see another Mummy film, however I am greatly disappointed that Oded Fehr and Rachel Weisz were not included, whether by their own choice or not. I love your work - your career choices and talent are amazing - and I am excited that you are part of this film. Can't wait to see it, even if my 2 favorite actors aren't included.

I was just curious as to why you replaced Rachel Wise. In my opinion it would be best to have her as Evey seeing as how she's been there from movie 1. I have love all the mummy movies, but replacing Evey is just bad taste. Sorry for bursting your bubble and everything, but that's just how I and my family feel. A lot of people that I talked to about this movie aren't to happy with the fact that you replaced her, and it won't be a true mummy movie without her. But go ahead do as you wish, just don't forget to ask what us non-rich people like instead of the critics.

I am a very big fan of Mummy one and two. I was quite excited to hear that they were makeing another mummy. Though I was very disappointed to hear that Rachel Weisz decided not to do this one but highly disappointed that the women who will be replacing her is not as wonderful as an actress as Weisz. Therefore I'm sure that Mummy three will be a disgrace.

I got so excited knowing that Mummy 3 is finally here, but after learning that "Evy" is no longer played by Rachel Weisz, then I got really disappointed. Her elegant beauty cant be replaced by anybody and she is the only one who can give justice to the character. I am really really sad.... I wonder why RW decided not to play it this time. But I will still watch this movie... there's a lot to see besides Maria Bello.

how come you dont have the same cast of actors in this one as the others like john Hannah and Rachel Weisz

This movie is going to be extreamly dissapointing, don't get me wrong I am a huge Mummy 1 and 2 fan but with the loss of Rachel Weisz I will not be going to see this for $10 at any movie theater and I know a lot of people who will agree with me. I might wait to see it when its on DVD but I might not because I don't want to ruin the previous movies due to this drastic cast change.

Yeah, sorry to not see Rachel Weisz in this film, but Maria Bello will lend her grace and beauty to Evy, I'm sure.

First of all, I'd just like to say that I'm so glad that you're going to be directing this movie! I absolutely looooved the first and second one, and I think you'll do a great job with the third one. I just have one question...Why isn't Rachel Weisz playing Evelyn. Not to downgrade Maria Bello or anything, but the only slightly memorable part that she had was in Coyote Ugly...and I don't get how you could replace Rachel with her. Rachel did a great job playing Evelyn, and I don't think that after two movies the fans could just forget about her. I'm sorry if this annoyed you or anything...it's just how I feel. To be honest, one of the main reasons I enjoyed the Mummy movies is partly because of the chemistry between Rachel and Brendan Fraser...and I understand that she cannot be in this movie, seeing how it's coming olut in two weeks and all, but please consider to cast her for the next Mummy movie.

Hey just wanted to say I'm not sure I am going to see this. Why is the role of Evelyn played by someone else now? I love the other mummy movies but it just doesn't seem right for Rachel not be be in this one.

I have seen the movie last weeks with a group of friends. It was very disappointing that you guys did not even get the fact right - the Terracotta Army was discovered in 1974 and not 1946. Just cracks me up!

I just saw "The Mummy" this past weekend with much anticipation. I was very much disappointed in what I thought would be a continuing story of "The Mommy." Jet Li as an ancient warrior "Mummy" quite doesn't make it...actually he's no mummy at all! An anciet curse and viola, he's a terra cotta statute. The scenary, costumes were beautiful, but the whole storyline just didn't work. How many times was Boris Karloff brought back (or came back)...because he was "The Mummy." If this started in ancient China, why couldn't it somehow wind up back in ancient Egypt (the story within the story) and bring back the wonderful actors from the last two movies. Now I understand why Rachael Weiz didn't want to be in this movie, the script is terrible. And one last thing, who is the actor who played their son?? He's terrible and with that New York accent!!! When the parents look the same age as their "children", come on...sorry, I was so looking forward and really disppointed. If there will every be a 4th, please make it in the style of the first...Mummy's from Egypt.

im such a fan of the mummy...i loveee brendan soooo much..hes so hot..im disappointed dat RW is not in da movie but its ok coz luke and isabella make a great couple..i saw it just recently..its sooo nice

I love The mummy series...

i just watch the Mummy 3 quite recently and I'm a bit disappointed on Brendan and Bello's bringing up the story... they have no chemistry at all... it was like they were just doing their part... no emotion with one another... no spark... unlike with Rachel Weisz, you'll die on excitement on every scene...

In this sequel,, I can also see in Fraser's face that he was not happy with his part... he was just acting to finish the this movie... it was like his character has no love for Evie (even if they kiss or show some sweetness with one another)... he's not the rick with and the story doesn't surrounds their family but the emperor is... Unlike the two Mummy's it really suite to the whole story even the past and the present... you will never miss anything... no more question ask coz every question can be seen in the movie it self... but the 3rd part, it was like how they are related with this Chinese guy...? they were all cursed by a witch not by Egyptian curse tradition (Mummified) and the emperors warriors are not mummy but a statue that moves... they are just a living dead cement... ?

the movie has no rhythm, comedic plot, the story has no sense in term of the title "The Mummy ( the mummy knowledge comes from Egypt and the story should always be in Egypt or about what happen in Egypt or etc)", no chemistry, wit or personality, just a desperate, headlong pace, boredom and the character is totally different... Mummy fabs doesn't recognize Evie as Evie... She doesn't know how to fight like rachel in the mummy returns (no fluidity)...She was totally different person... no signs even a little bit... It doesn't suit her role... and bello, she's can;t bring Evie character since she doesn't know how to speak British accent...

If Rachel didn't accept the part, why don't you try finding one that looks like Rachael and can speak British fluently (or even know how to speak it right)... like Kate winslet... I'm sure she can bring the part like Rachael did... quite differently but not too different,...

I really hope you consider briging back rachel Weisz in the next the mummy movie... I'm sure it will bring back the hotness of the movie... I really hope that you think about it... I'm sure a lot of fan of Rachel and Brendan will be thrilled... i'm sure of it...

No offense, i didn't mean to offend you... I know how great you as a director... i watched your other movies and I loved it so much... but that's only what I see in this movie...
